“Sommer and Garrett were absolutely great! They are a beautiful family that love and understand dogs. Their kids help out so much our pups had plenty of attention, cuddles and play time. Their back yard is spacious for active dogs and they are never alone. Luna is very anxious and they knew how to deal with her with lots of care. I was a bit worried because Luna and Moka sleep with me, but there was no issues… they cuddled with them and slept all night. I highly recommend them! 100% I will be back on my next vacation:) I am so grateful to have found them. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!”

“Dzeni and Kathy were absolutely wonderful with Bailey! From the start, their communication was clear and consistent, which gave us a lot of peace of mind. They were very attentive to Bailey’s needs, kept us updated with messages and photos, and made sure she was comfortable and happy the whole time. It was clear that they treated her with genuine care and affection, just like family. We came home to a relaxed and well-cared-for pup, and we couldn’t be more grateful. Highly recommend them to anyone looking for reliable, kind, and professional pet sitters!”

“Giovanni was incredible. Great communication front start to finish. Marla and Whiskey had a blast - the videos and pictures sent daily were proof of that. Giovanni went above and beyond- we ended up staying another 2 days on our trip and I only packed maybe 1 extra day of food he went to the store and bought chicken breast and cooked it for my babies. Do yourself a favor and book Giovanni for daycare or boarding you won’t be sorry! It definitely looked like he treated Marla and Whiskey as his own and made me feel secure someone was loving on them & giving the best time while we were away.”

“My pups enjoyed another fantastic stay with Maria. I always know my pups are in good hands and will have so much fun whenever they go to Maria’s house. I appreciate the love and care that she gives them. Thank you so much, Maria!”

“Julianne was amazing! She is very sweet, accommodating, and my pets loved her. She took great care of them and was very communicative. I will definitely use her again!”

“Sarah was absolutely amazing with our Willow girl. She sent pictures and videos while Willow was staying with her. I never had to worry if she was taken care of! Super great communication and I appreciate that. We ended up needing to extend due to travel issues and Sarah was super accommodating. If you need someone to keep your fur baby Sarah is the one to choose! Thanks again Sarah! We will see you again in the future”

“Our first stay with Rachelle was great! She was very flexible and understanding, and sent me photo updates. She has a lovely home, backyard, and clean pool. And her dog, Logan, seems very calm and sweet.”

“I felt so comfortable leaving my little buddy with Neida... the exchange of info ahead of time made me feel comfortable that all aspects of his stay would be covered... I would definitely book her again...”

“Nicollette and her family took great care of our large doodle, Murphy. She was also very accommodating with changes due to travel delays. We will definitely be taking Murphy back for future stays. ❤️”

About: Loving Home Away From Home for Your Furry Family Member 🐾 New to Rover but eons of experience otherwise I've been raising and caring for dogs since I was 13 years old and have personally raised six dogs over the years. Dogs have always been a huge part of my life, and I truly enjoy spending time with them, getting to know their unique personalities, and making them feel safe, happy, and loved. Your pup will have plenty of room to play in our large home and spacious fenced yard. Whether they love running around, playing fetch, going for walks, or simply relaxing and getting cuddles, they'll receive lots of attention and affection during their stay. My high school-aged son, who has been around and helping care for large dogs since he was 7 years old, is also a big animal lover and assists under my supervision. Together, we provide a caring, attentive environment where your dog will be treated like part of the family. Whether you're away for a day, a weekend, or an extended trip, you can relax knowing your furry friend is in good hands. We understand how important your pet is, and we'll make sure they're loved, exercised, comfortable, and well cared for while you're away. We can't wait to meet your fur baby! I’m home most weekdays and weekends, so your furbaby will never be left alone for long. I have a friendly 2-year-old Malinois mix who loves company and can be a great companion for your pet during their stay. 🐾 Can play safely and enjoy plenty of outdoor time. Don’t worry—I’m very mindful of the weather and won’t let them stay outside when it’s too hot. If your dog is crate-trained or you prefer crate time, I’m happy to accommodate that as well. The choice is completely yours!
“Alicia took Bentley at the very last minute when an other sitter didn’t work for us. She was amazing and very accommodating! Bentley had the best time and was worn out when we picked him back up!”

“Pascal was in great hands! Right away she held him and made him feel safe. I got to see pictures and that was wonderful! He was in great spirits when we came to take him home.”
“Walden had a great stay! I get nervous leaving him in new places, but it quickly became clear that he was having a great time and was well taken care of. I was updated every day with some great pictures and informative updates even though it was the thanksgiving holidays! Shelley and Chris were also very flexible. I had a scheduling mix up, and they graciously extended Walden’s stay another day with no issues. I couldn’t have asked for a better stay, and would definitely book again!”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
