“This was the first time Alyssa took care of my cat, and she was awesome! My cat is usually shy around strangers but he took to Alyssa right away. Alyssa went above and beyond to make my cat feel comfortable and loved while also sending me lots of pictures and updates. Would highly recommend!”

“Mia was amazing. She was very respectful and caring to our cats. She even went above and beyond to ensure our family members were happy and well taken care of. When we go out of town, Mia is the first person we are booking!”

About: I’ve been caring for animals my entire life and have always had a deep love for them. Growing up, I was the person friends, family, and neighbors trusted to pet sit, and that’s continued into adulthood. I’ve also worked at a doggy daycare, where I gained hands on experience caring for multiple dogs, understanding different temperaments, and maintaining a safe, structured environment. I have experience with large breeds and am comfortable handling big dogs, as well as administering medication when needed. I’m comfortable with pets of all sizes and I understand how important it is to keep them safe, happy, and on their normal routine. I treat every pet like they’re my own and make sure they get plenty of attention, care, and love while you’re away. I have a flexible schedule and work from home, which allows me to give pets consistent attention throughout the day. Because I build pet care into my daily routine, I’m able to stay attentive, stick to your pet’s schedule, and make sure they’re comfortable and well cared for while you’re away. I provide a calm, structured home environment and intentionally care for only up to two families at a time, allowing every dog to receive plenty of individual attention, love, and care. I offer complimentary meet and greets before every boarding stay so we can get to know each other, discuss your pup’s routine, and make sure we’re the perfect fit. Your pet’s safety, happiness, and comfort are my top priorities. I follow your dog’s normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, potty breaks, walks, medications (if needed), and bedtime routines. Your pup will enjoy supervised playtime in my spacious backyard, walks, enrichment, plenty of love and attention, and a calm home environment. If they get muddy or messy during their stay, I’m happy to give them a bath with your permission. I provide a clean XL crate and cozy dog bed for dogs that are comfortable using one, but I understand every dog has a different routine. If your pup normally sleeps in bed and you’re comfortable with it, they’re welcome to snuggle up with me at night. My goal is to make every guest feel as safe, loved, and at home as possible. You’ll receive photo updates throughout the day, plus a bedtime photo each evening so you can relax knowing your best friend is happy and well cared for. If I ever notice anything out of the ordinary, I’ll contact you right away.
“Stephanie is exactly what you're looking for if you need someone who is caring, considerate, and kind. She took in-home care of my two beautiful babies for two weeks and she was absolutely exquisite. Thank you, Stephanie for the great care, beautiful pictures and videos and keeping my babies safe.”

About: I’m a teacher, so I’m very responsible and caring. I also love spending time with animals and I regularly help my clients and friends with their pets. I work remotely at the moment, so I’m pretty flexible. I can walk dogs a few times a day and spend plenty of time with them I am clean and I make sure the pets always have safe conditions. I follow the instructions and listen to what the specific pet needs.
“I couldn’t be happier with Caitlyn’s care for my dog, Stan. She’s been consistently reliable and goes above and beyond during her visits. Whether it’s walking or just spending time with him, I can tell Stan is always excited to see her. She keeps me updated with detailed notes and photos after every visit, which gives me peace of mind. Caitlyn is friendly, professional, and truly loves what she does. I highly recommend her for anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring dog walker/sitter!”

About: I’ve grown up around all types of dogs and have over 10 years of experience dog-sitting, walking, and providing in-home care for different breeds, including German Shepherds, Dobermans, Corgis, Labs, Doodles, Pomeranians, and more. I enjoy keeping dogs happy and entertained through walks, playtime, and basic training. Most of all, I give every animal I care for plenty of love, attention, and patience. Pet care fits perfectly into my schedule. I have a flexible lifestyle, and can be available to take care of any and all dogs from 8AM-8PM, or other times if that is what is needed. Before I moved out, I had two corgis that I took sole care of. Now I have taken in a Pomeranian that I care for. Before I got to Florida, I babysat two labs at least one weekend every month. This included feeding, walking, giving medicine, playtime, training and endless hugs and kisses. As well as taking care of the labs, I cared for a German Shepherd for years that I trained, walked, fed, gave medicine and took to vet appointments. I know how and what to do in a lot of different stressful situations with dogs and all different habits and personalities. Most of all, I love all dogs and treat them all as my own.
“Kelly is wonderful! This was our first time using Rover and we were concerned because we have two finicky cats, a boy and a girl. They are loving cats, however they are very apprehensive until they get to know a person. The first time (Kelly) walked in our home they trusted her at first sight. She followed our directions explicitly, she loved and played with the kitties every time she was here, she sent us beautiful pictures so we knew they were safe. She kept our home tidy and neat, she is hands down our ‘go to’ caregiver for our kitty cats!”

About: While I’m just starting professionally, I’ve always loved dogs and have one of my own who means the world to me. Caring for my own pup has taught me patience, responsibility, and how much love and attention dogs truly need. I may not have formal experience yet, but I bring genuine care, energy, and a deep love for all dogs to every walk and playtime. I’ll treat your pup like family because that’s what they are. I’m excited to get into pet care not just as a job, but because it’s something I truly enjoy and feel passionate about. I’m a full-time college student and also work full time, but my schedule is very flexible. I’m usually available after noon most days, and sometimes before 3 PM, depending on whether I have an opening or closing shift at work. I’m committed to working diligently to fit in any and all pups that need me, and I’ll do my best to accommodate your dog’s needs with care and consistency. At home, my dog and I enjoy daily walks, usually twice a day, and we always make time for play before and after work. He’s truly part of the family and gets all the love and attention he deserves, and I believe every pup should have that same level of care. I’ll make sure they always feel safe and loved, I always prioritize each dog’s comfort, routine, and happiness as if they were my own.
About: My first job, at age 12, was pet sitting/dog walking. I've had pets my entire life ranging from dogs and cats to rodents, fish, and reptiles. I currently have 4 cats. I have experience with older dogs and cats as well kittens and puppies. I've also spent years working in customer service so no request will be too much. I have plenty of time for walks and playtime. I can keep up whatever routine your pet is used to. I live near a dog park and can take your pup if they like to play with other dogs If your dog doesn't like cats, my cats can easily be kept separate in my room. They spend most of their day sleeping in there anyway
About: I have had dogs, birds, hamsters, rabbits cats, ferrets starting around age 10. I love all animals and will care for yours as if they were my own. I have two cats. A Torti and a Tuxedo. I also have 4 parrots. I love them all equally and have a special and individual relationship with each one so I understand how to care for different personalities and needs. I keep the birds separated in the house for safety and comfort and spend time with them all so they feel special as their personalities require it. I would care for your babies the same way. If crate training were part of your pets need I would follow accordingly. I would care for your pets in your home. I Would pop in and spend time with them for as long or frequent as as requested

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
