About: I worked at a dog daycare as a Canine Coach and Lead for almost two years, where I cared for dogs of all sizes, breeds, ages, and energy levels in a fast-paced environment. I also have over 15 years of personal pet care experience, so being around animals has always been a big part of my life. As a USF student with an active lifestyle, I enjoy keeping dogs engaged through walks, playtime, and attention while also making sure they feel safe and comfortable. I’m patient, dependable, and attentive to each dog’s individual needs, whether that means helping energetic puppies burn off energy or giving older dogs a calmer, more relaxed experience. I understand how important trust and communication are when leaving your pet with someone, and I always treat every dog like my own. Pet care fits very naturally into my daily routine, especially over summer break while I’m home from USF. I have a flexible schedule and enjoy staying active, so dog walking, playtime, and spending time with animals is something I genuinely enjoy doing throughout the week. I do have a few trips planned during the summer, but I always keep my calendar updated and only accept bookings when I know I can fully dedicate my time and attention to each pet. Reliability and communication are very important to me, and I want pet owners to feel confident their dogs are in good hands. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I focus on creating a safe, comfortable, and stress-free environment while keeping the pet’s normal routine as consistent as possible. I always follow the owner’s instructions carefully regarding feeding schedules, walks, medications, crate routines, or any special care needs. I have experience working with dogs of different sizes, breeds, personalities, and energy levels from my time working at a dog daycare, so I understand the importance of patience, supervision, and reading animal behavior. I also believe communication and trust are extremely important, so I make sure owners stay updated with messages and photos so they can feel confident their pets are being well cared for while they’re away.
“I needed a last minute sitter and Elizabeth came through. My dogs looked happy when I came home and I was able to enjoy my evening knowing my dogs were well cared for. Highly recommend.”

“Christine was wonderful with Gizmo. Even though it was their first time meeting, he warmed up immediately to her. It was a drop in visit for an hour but when we came home he was playing with her and it almost seemed like he didn’t miss me at all! I’m sure he is looking forward to spending more time and doing some overnights with Christine.”

“Mia was amazing. She was very respectful and caring to our cats. She even went above and beyond to ensure our family members were happy and well taken care of. When we go out of town, Mia is the first person we are booking!”

“Although Summer arrived a little bit later than the agreed upon booking time, she became Arthur's new best friend! She took great care of him and gave him plenty of stimulation. We had huge peace of mind traveling out of state.”

“Margot took great care of our two cats. She made sure to let us know how they were doing each day, which put our minds at ease. We look forward to having her help us the next time we travel. Thank you, Margot!”

“For the first time I had to find someone to watch my pup on a 4 day trip, I couldn’t be happier than finding Torie. From the regular updates with photos and videos to coming home from the trip and finding a very happy dog waiting to greet me, I could tell how well taken care of he was. Torie was on top of communication and was open to requests to make sure my boy was more than adequately cared for. I will 1000% reach out to Torie exclusively for any trips that I take in the future that necessitate a sitter for my dog. Thank you so much Torie!!”

“Jennifer did a fantastic job caring for my dog while I was out of town. From the moment we connected, she was professional, dependable, and genuinely caring. She kept me updated, made sure my dog was well cared for, and gave me complete peace of mind while I was away. When I returned home, my dog was happy, healthy, and clearly comfortable with Jennifer. It’s obvious she truly loves animals and takes her responsibilities seriously. I would highly recommend Jennifer to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring pet sitter. I wouldn’t hesitate to have her watch my dog again in the future.”

“This was my 2nd booking with Sierra and both times she has been excellent with my babies ! Appreciate her photos and detailed notes about everything. Can’t wait to book again!”

“Clair is an absolutely wonderful pet sitter! She recently watched our dog and cat while we were away, and we could not be happier with her care. She was incredibly kind, always on time, and our animals absolutely loved her. It gave us total peace of mind knowing our pets were in such great hands. We highly recommend Clair to anyone looking for a trustworthy and loving pet sitter!”

“Megan was amazing with our rescue dogs! She was a great communicator and spent time making sure our pups were well loved (a bit spoiled ?) and cared for while we were away! She will definitely be a part of our pets’ future! Thank you, Megan!!”

“Alyssa was wonderful to work with. She followed instructions, communicated clearly and often, and really respected my home. My animals really took a liking to her, as did we! I look forward to using her services in the future.”

“Adriana was great!. She hit if off immediately with my three-month old Shihpoo, and her first visit had accompanying photos and a report of Roisin's activities. I will use her again!”

“Alex is wonderful to our two cats. She goes above and beyond, making them a toy and leaving a bowl of water out when power outages are a possibility (electric water fountain). Frees our minds from worry when we are away. Our repeat go to sitter.”

I've used rover with my dog for years and now am excited to work for this great company meeting great dogs! Can also take care of parrots! I have a 3 year old sun conure. I am currently available full time for week days and weekends! I love forward to working with you and your furbaby/ furbabies. Message me with any questions. About: I am a former veterinary assistant and have thorough experience with all types of animals (small, large, and exotic). My family and I recently moved to beautiful Palm Harbor with our two amazing children. I have a whole collection of wonderful pet clients from where we used to live, so I’m hoping to meet so many more of you here in Florida! 🌞 🐶 🐈⬛ 🐓 🦎 Animals with special needs such as medications or unique routines are welcomed. One of my favorite parts about pet sitting is experiencing clients' reactions to photos of their pets that I send them while they are away. I know the feeling that pet owners feel when they have to leave their "fur-children" in the hands of someone they don't know, and how scary and stressful that can be. Clients who have experienced this uncertainty about leaving their animals with a new sitter have come home happy, relieved and thankful that they booked with me as their pet sitter. I have my children with me day time hours Monday through Friday until 4pm, so evenings work best for dog walks and drop ins at the moment. However, if you need daytime hours specifically, my children will usually be tagging along with me (they are well-behaved). My family and I are always active doing something outdoors as a family (mostly rain or shine)! I will walk your dogs as long as needed and make sure your pets get plenty of attention when I stop to take care of them.
About: I have had a pet in my home since I was born. The first dog I remember was Ginger, then PJ, then Sparkie, then Jenna and Millie, Anja and Argus, then Bonnie and Clyde, and now we have our very friendly buddy, Gustav. They ranged from a miniature Schnauzer and Jack Russels to Rottweilers and German Shepherds. My closest friend's dad bred and trained German Shepherds while I was in high school. I was surrounded by a pack most of my life and loved it. I owned a local pup friendly pub for 14 years and made it a point to great every dog that came in. I am hoping for the chance to see some of those dogs again! My current schedule is very flexible, so I can focus on the pet's care when they need it. I understand that different pets require different things at different times and I am able and willing to accommodate with a bit of forewarning. I have a fenced in yard and a very friendly 10 month old puppy who loves new company. He and I go for walks around our neighborhood daily and we do outings to the park a few times a week. I have 2 cats that are indifferent to dogs and they have their own separate space so they can be alone if they want. I deep clean the litter boxes at least twice a week and would be happy to do the same for your kitties at your home. (Access to a hose outside is very helpful for this) I have room for crates and pets are not left outside unattended. I am very vigilant about picking up poop and want to keep a clean yard for the pups to play in.

Erin did a wonderful job caring for our cats while we were away for a few days. We had found out one of our cats was sick a few days prior and she did a great job checking in on them and helping with administering his probiotics. Overall I would highly recommend, she makes sure to keep you updated and is highly professional. :)

Our cat Jada, got to meet Chelsea when we had to leave town unexpectedly. I am a very protective mom because Jada is not a friendly cat, but Chelsea used her purrsuasion to coax her out from under the bed. It worked marvelously because Jada now has a new adopted mom. Jada loved spending time with Chelsea and I think the feeling was mutual. The photos and videos helped me to feel that we had made a good choice for a pet sitter. Jada met her at the door each visit. Chelsea is a blessing. Do I highly recommend her? YES I SURE DO. Thank you for being there Chelsea when I couldn't.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
