“Ashley was a great communicator about how our dogs were doing at her place. But even better, my little chihuahua was scared of the other big dogs and Ashley took extra special 1x1 care with her on a daily basis. I certainly appreciate her going the extra mile.”

“We had an amazing experience with Jessica and Colin! They watched Lulu for three weeks and took such wonderful care of her. It was clear from the updates and photos that she was happy, comfortable, and getting lots of love and attention. We came home to a very happy pup! Highly recommend to anyone looking for a responsible, caring, and trustworthy sitter”

“Nicole was really great with our pup! I’m really grateful she made him part of her family for the holidays. She was always responsive and sent us some really great photos. When she dropped off something we’d left at her home, he was so excited to see her again! We’d definitely use her again.”

“Our fur baby felt right at home with Stephanie! He was treated like a king and was happy and relaxed while away from home. The daily updates and pics gave us peace of mind. We've already booked our next stay!”

“Gina is everything you could ask for when entrusting someone to look after your furry friends. Very responsive during the booking process, we had a great meet and greet, as this was our first time using Gina, great family and setting, and lots of pictures, videos, and interaction during the stay. Would definitely book again!!”

“If I could give six stars I would. Kristie and her daughter were wonderful friends to my dog over Thanksgiving break, and I didn’t worry for a second. She is great about sending pictures and videos, and I can tell in all of them that Indo had an amazing time and was given a lot of love and attention!”

“We have used Larry & Renee a couple times now for our sitting needs and could not be more pleased! They truly go above and beyond to make sure our "kids" are comfortable and entertained while we're gone. In addition to letting our pups spend lots of time outside in their backyard, they take our pups out for walks and/or dog park visits every day. No other sitter we have used has done that, which makes me appreciate Larry & Renee that much more. They also send plenty of pictures, which we value greatly. Our pups are always smiling in the photos, which puts our minds at ease knowing they are having fun and are living stress-free in our absence. Highly recommend!”
“Celeste was amazing! She took care of my dogs like they were her own. She made sure to send me photos and keep me updated along the way. I’ll definitely be rebooking with her in the future!”

“Carlos is an amazing sitter. Our dogs had a great time and came home calm as can be. I highly recommend Carlos and he will be our families permanent dog sitter!”

“Dzeni and Kathy were absolutely wonderful with Bailey! From the start, their communication was clear and consistent, which gave us a lot of peace of mind. They were very attentive to Bailey’s needs, kept us updated with messages and photos, and made sure she was comfortable and happy the whole time. It was clear that they treated her with genuine care and affection, just like family. We came home to a relaxed and well-cared-for pup, and we couldn’t be more grateful. Highly recommend them to anyone looking for reliable, kind, and professional pet sitters!”

“Richard and Carmen are amazing people! They loved on Luna and made her feel comfortable and right at home from the first night! They sent pictures regularly, and loved her like their own. We will definitely be using them again when we have the need, and refer our friends their way!”

Jenna did a great job taking care of Bonnie and Lucy from Sunday morning through Wednesday afternoon. Our dogs were clearly well cared for, and it was a big plus that her two dogs got along and played nicely with ours, which helped keep them active and happy. Communication was good overall, and she was responsive when needed. The dogs came home healthy and in good spirits, and we appreciated her care while we were away. We’d be comfortable using Jenna again and appreciate her help.

Kristie was the best person to look after Togo. Despite Togo having a lot of anxiety and giving her trouble all through the night, Kristie was incredibly patient. She took wonderful care of him and kept me reassured with constant updates. I couldn’t have asked for a better sitter!
Alicia watched my dog and also took care of him over Christmas, and I honestly couldn’t have asked for anyone better. She is incredibly kind, loving, and attentive, and it was clear how much she truly cares about animals. I received daily updates, comments, and pictures, which gave me such peace of mind. My dog was happy, relaxed, and so well cared for the entire time. I felt completely at ease knowing he was in such wonderful hands. I can’t recommend Alicia enough — she’s truly amazing!

Anne was great with our newly acquired 5-yr old shelter dog, Toby. We are still working on potty training and good behavior with him so he wasn't an easy guest. We're implementing some helpful suggestions Anne offered and anticipate that Toby will be a better guest the next time around!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
