“This is the second time Mailo has stayed with them! Mailo is truly happy at their home! Thank you for taking such good care of him and for always communicating so well.”

“Celeste is amazing! She accommodated my booking on short notice during the holiday and took GREAT care of my spoiled golden. Bella had a fun time with the children and her 2 fur babies. THANK YOU, Celeste!”

“Carlos was great at communicating with me while he watched our pup Simon! He was well taken care of and seemed very happy and content upon our return. We will have Carlos watch Simon again for sure!”
“She took amazing care of our cat, Jinx, while she was recovering from her spay and needed medication. She made sure everything was done exactly as instructed, stayed on top of her meds, and gave us a lot of peace of mind while we were away. She even made toys for her, which was such a thoughtful extra touch. You can tell she genuinely cares and pays attention to the animals she watches. I would absolutely recommend her and would trust her with Jinx again anytime! 🐾”

“amazing!! my dogs are poodles and need to be kept super busy and they do amazing with Tracee, she takes them on long walks and to sooo many parks!! they loved their time with her. she’s THE best on communication and makes sure the dogs are her number one priority!! love her and definitely reaching out to her again!!!”

“Chris C kept my kitten for four days and three nights. This was her first time being away from me for more than eight hours. He was absolutely awesome. He sent me videos pictures text messages and I felt comfortable the entire time I was away from her. she’s almost 6 months and still a baby. He treated her like she was his own and so did his awesome cat Stasche I would definitely recommend him and I will also rebook with him whenever Skye needs a sitter really nice guy and his home was perfect for my baby to enjoy herself”

“I booked Lynn with little notice so my girls and I could take a quick trip before I needed to return to my classroom for the school year. Although, she prefers a weeks notice, which I understand, I appreciate that she was very quick to respond and was willing to help me out. This was my first time using rover and I was so pleased and put at ease the second I met Lynn! Not only is her home spotless, she is warm, quick to communicate, transparent, and makes you feel comfortable from the minute she greets you and your fur baby! She is also very knowledgeable since she used to breed huskies and has a lot of experience with many different breeds. So she had a lot of helpful tips that she was willing to share with me from her experience! My dog, Daisy, seemed very comfortable with her and seemed right at home. I love that she only takes one dog at a time and so she can give your fur baby her full attention. I also appreciated that she sent me updates and pictures. Overall, Lynn was super responsible and trust worthy. I would use Lynn in a heartbeat the next time we plan a trip, but I will give her at least a weeks notice next time around ?! Thanks again, Lynn, for taking such good care of Daisy!”

“Betsy communicates well and provides a loving home away from home. A large fenced yard for lots of running and playtime helped get my pup's energy out. And she was so attentive to ensure my pup was comfortable on his first stay with her as he is quite anxious. And pup loved her!”

“Kimberly was great. She took great care of my dog and provided daily picture updates. Her own doggie Bailey was really sweet as well. I would book with her again and recommend.”

About: I've always owned & cared for animals my whole life. I grew up around a farm when I was a kid and I've always had dogs & cats of my own. I currently own 2 Great Danes and 3 cats. I currently work full time but will take appointments whenever I am off work and available. I will only take appointments for pet sitting/daycare in my own home. Since I have 5 animals of my own I cannot leave them for long periods of time to stay in your home. I do have a very medium/large crate in my home if your animal needs to be separated. I own my own home close to Starkey Park and several dog parks. My yard is completly fenced in with 6ft privacy fencing. I also have a screened in pool for those pets that like the water. I have a large sized pet door that goes from the house out to the fenced yard. My cats are very friendly and love my dogs but take a little to warm up to other dogs. They also have a small pet door to escape to the garage if they are overwhelmed . My dogs get along with all other dogs and don't mind cats.
“Thank you Laura! I was stressed about leaving Abby with anyone but you and your family made it easy for me. I loved receiving text messages and pictures letting me know Abby was doing great and having fun. Thank you to your son for helping and loving Abby. You guys are awesome!!! Thank you!”

“Mai was absolutely awesome!!! She took such good care of my baby Jagger and kept me posted with pictures and updates the whole time. Her home was lovely and comfortable and her pets were so welcoming to my pet. This was my first time leaving my pet through Rover and I highly recommend then and Mai. Such a professional and pet lover. Until next time and only with Mai. Thank you!”

“Jen was fantastic! She replied promptly to all messages and was wonderful with our dog (his first time visiting). He was able to play with her dog and was very at home. I would highly recommend using her services!”

“Nicole was really great with our pup! I’m really grateful she made him part of her family for the holidays. She was always responsive and sent us some really great photos. When she dropped off something we’d left at her home, he was so excited to see her again! We’d definitely use her again.”

“Jean was extremely pleasant and a fantastic dog sitter (along with her husband Bernie). I couldn't have been luckier to have found her to take care of my aging dog. We were out of the country for 3 weeks and Jean sent me pictures and updates every day. Our dog was very well taken care of and I would not hesitate to use her again.”

Chandler was great! very understanding. This was my first time leaving my dog with anyone. He sent videos and was very prompt to respond to my text messages. I felt very at ease. when I picked her up, She was sad to leave. I will definitely have Chandler on my speed Dial. And spread the word, what a great dog sitter he is. And how sad Mia is today and misses him and the other doggies..

We absolutely love our Rover sitter! She’s such a sweet young woman and truly takes amazing care of our pets. You can tell she genuinely loves animals and treats them like her own. Our babies are always so happy and comfortable with her, which gives us so much peace of mind. Reliable, caring, and attentive. We highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone trustworthy to care for their fur babies!

Lulu had an amazing over night stay with Michelle and at such short notice too. Michelle was very accommodating to us. Lulu iisnt around other dogs at home but Michelle introduced her to her own dogs in such a safe and careful manner that Lulu actually ran around and played with her dogs and felt such at ease there. I would highly recommend Michelle and I will be booking with her again on the future.
This was my first time using a dog sitter, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. She took such great care of Lehx, and I felt completely at ease the entire time. The drop-off and pick-up process was smooth, and I loved receiving pictures and videos—it really meant a lot. She also made sure to ask questions beforehand to understand his needs, which I truly appreciated. I highly recommend her and will definitely use her again!
I could not have wished for a better sitter for my Labrador Retriever, Winnie! Robin is a wonderful and warm person who truly loved and spoiled Winnie during the three weeks she looked after her. Robin sent pictures and updates every day, which gave me great peace of mind. Her two dogs are happy and friendly, and Winnie got along beautifully with them. I would not hesitate to recommend Robin to anyone looking for a caring and reliable sitter.

Our family was going on a little vacation, and needed someone to care for our yorkie, Thomas, while we were gone. This is the first time we have had someone we don’t know care for him. Juan was amazing! He shared updates and pics with us and Thomas was extremely happy! We had to stay an extra night on our trip and Juan accommodated that and was able to care for Thomas an extra night. We will use Juan’s services again. Thank you Juan!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
