About: I've pet and house sat for cats and dogs of many breeds and sizes. Mostly for family and friends and I treat them like the beloved family members they are! Many times they have multiple dogs and or cats which is fine by me, love them all. I have been the lucky pet mama of many dogs, a few cats, birds, guinea pig and hamsters. They all were very dear to me and my family. Right now I'm retired and unfortunately my sweet old beagle-mix girl Leela, past away this past fall. I miss her dearly and the routine of walking her in her stroller because in her last year she lost mobility in her hind legs. I know I will eventually adopt another, but right now just enjoying her sweet memories 😊 ♥️ A typical day would start with outside time to do their business and get some exercise, followed by their breakfast and meds/ supplements if so needed. Then we relax a bit until afternoon walking, weather permitting, and playtime. Then relax until dinner and another walk/some playtime before retiring for the night. This of course varies with the pet's routines and needs each day. This is basically what we did with our dogs, and the cats were indoor/outdoor.
About: I love animals ever since I was young age, especially how difference their personalities are! They have their own needs and wants which something I’m willing to learn no matter the size. Just give me the routine and I’ll follow it with no problems, they’ll be loved and cared for while you’re away! I volunteered in one rescue back in my hometown while growing up so preparing special food, walking/exercising, giving treats (especially to the good boys/girls!) are on my list! I also have basic grooming experience so brushing, basic teeth cleaning, cutting nails, cleaning face are on my list of experiences! I’m also not afraid to get down dirty when needing to bath a dirty dog! I currently work from home and I want to go out of the house and do something productive! What’s more than doing it with fluffy animals! I’m able to go outside more without needing to spend money so I thought might as well combine my love animals and going outside. It’s a win-win since I can take care of your babies while you’re busy and I can be outside of my house!! I currently live in a gated community, we have our own little dog park within the community. I also live in a 3 story apartment so if your cats end staying for the night they’ll have penalty if not more space to have their night zoomies!

About: I’ve taken care of pets ranging from young adult to senior age. I rescued a feral kitty with major injuries, worked with Tampa Bay Humane Society to take care of her health concerns, and officially adopted her in 2024. I have experience with caring for pets with seizures, needing diaper changes, having specific dietary needs, and more. I’m available any time, currently I have a lot of free time so I’m able to give your pets the attention they need even on short notice. I have a cat in one hole and multiple dogs in another and I give them whatever they need to be happy with me, in my clients home I do exactly as is needed

About: Hi! I’m a recent graduate of Christopher Newport University and have been pet sitting since I was 14. I have experience with both overnight stays and drop-in visits and have cared for both dogs and cats. I’m dependable, attentive, and make sure every pet feels comfortable and cared for while their owners are away. I’ve mostly worked with younger, high-energy pets, so I’m very used to keeping active dogs engaged, exercised, and happy. I truly love animals and treat every pet like my own. I’m also happy to send regular updates and photos so you always know how your pet is doing! I recently moved to the area, and I'm excited to make New Port Richey my home for the near future! I'm spending the summer with family, so I have a flexible schedule and plenty of free time between summer travels to provide reliable, attentive pet care. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I always focus on keeping their routine as normal and comfortable as possible. I make sure pets get plenty of attention, exercise, and playtime while also maintaining a safe environment. I’m very familiar with the area and know several great, safe walking spots for dogs. I’m attentive to each pet’s needs and will always follow any instructions you provide to ensure they stay happy, healthy, and comfortable while you’re away. I’m also happy to provide updates and photos so you can feel confident that your pet is in good hands.
“Nelson was always on time he went above and beyond to take care of our Milo. Milo somehow did not want to go beyond the drive way, I asked Nelson if he could pick him up and carry him to the end of the road then he would walk with you, I know that sounds funny but that’s how to get him to walk, Nelson had no problem doing so. I have scheduled Nelson for 2 weeks in a row and wr are very satisfied, more bookings are on the way. Thank you so much for everything you have done for Milo and us, you are greatly appreciated”

I’m currently a student and a proud member of my school’s weightlifting team! On weekends, I’m completely free and can dedicate extra time to walks, playtime, and cuddles. Pet care fits perfectly into my routine. Safety and trust are always my top priorities. I make sure every pet feels comfortable and secure by following their usual routines and respecting their individual needs. About: I've been taking care of pets for about 9 and 1/2 years. Two of the dogs I've owned have had epilepsy so I know what to do in case of a seizure, and make sure they receive their medications on time. I've also have owned two deaf dogs so I know the challenges that comes with them! While I haven't personally owned any cats, I'm open to to learning and making sure your cat is in good hands! I'm currently unemployed so I have all the time in the world to take care of pets. At home, I personally take care of my three dalmatians whenever my mom isn't able to, but I still will have plenty of time to take care of your pet(s)! I always make sure to be gentle and caring with pets in either situations. Whether it's playing in the yard, or just snuggling on the couch, the animal's well-being is my top priority!
About: I love being given the opportunity to meet each and every pet individually and to develop a relationship, is priceless. We should provide the same love they give to us. We are their voices. It is easy to have fun and do activities with our fur friends. I also like to take into consideration their personalities, habits, and likes. I am here to service them. Our fur friends are just like us, they only speak a different language. Therefore its an easy, loving job to do. As a young child I recall bringing strays home and almost being put out with them, hoping maybe one day I would be able to keep one of them. I never had the heart to put them back in the streets so, I tools them to Intake shelters. It all comes natural to me. Walks, Runs and Playing Catch Pet care fits easily into my daily routine because I genuinely enjoy being around animals. I already plan my day around responsibilities and schedules, so adding feeding times, walks, playtime, and check-ins feels very manageable. I make sure pets get the attention, exercise, and care they need without feeling rushed. Throughout the week, I stay organized and communicate with owners regularly, sending updates and making sure their pets are comfortable and happy. Spending time with animals is something I look forward to, so it feels like a rewarding part of my routine rather than just another task. If pets stay in my home, I maintain a calm, pet-friendly environment, keep hazardous items out of reach, supervise interactions, and follow the owner's instructions regarding feeding, exercise, sleeping arrangements, and any special needs
“Rachael has been a great help with my dog. Very communicative, on-time, trust worthy, and available. I can’t thank her enough for her professional care of my pooch!”

“Pua loves Kelly and warmed up to her quickly, which is rare since she is a rescue and still very timid towards people. Would recommend her to take care of your dogs, even those needing special care and patience like Pua.”

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
