“This was the first time I have ever had to leave our puppy girl with someone else so of course I had anxiety over it. Lindsay and her family were absolutely wonderful. From updates and pictures I was so at ease that my baby girl was in great hands. I will definitely use her again for a puppy sitter.”

“I really appreciate Kristen being available during the holiday season. My pet fit right in with her family pets. Kristen is very friendly and her home is cozy. I hope she is available for my next booking!”

“Samantha and her children were great with my dog. They treated him like part of their family. My dog stayed with them for a week. Her home was clean. She sent me daily updates on my dog with photos. We have already booked our next stay 😊.”

“Heather took the best of care of our little old man and even went out of her way to help us with drop off and met us at a convenient location! She kept us up to date with pictures and updates. We will definitely have her watch our pup again!”

“Alli sent multiple pictures and updates every day which was much appreciated. Apollo looked like he had a great time and was well taken care of during his stay. He also got plenty of time to exercise outside. Highly recommend.”

“Sibrena was amazing with my dog who requires a lot of attention. She sent me pictures to keep me up to date with the happenings of her day. Thank you so much for caring for my dog!”

“Always the best care! Our pups are repeat visitors and don’t even hesitate to walk into their vacation home to see their friends. Thank you, as always, David and Vickie!”
“Isabella exceeded all of our expectations. Her communication and care for our puppy went above and beyond. We were very nervous dropping our boy off to her not knowing how he was going to react to her and her animals quickly we found out he had some new friends. Isabella has a huge fenced in yard (with lots of shade) which is a plus for big energetic dogs. Our pup has definitely found his home away from home. We will be using Isabella again and again for as long as she provides her services.”

“Apasara is my favorite dog sitter. My dog loves her. And my dog is not really a ‘people’ dog lol. She treats him like her own dog , and she treats me with such grace and kindness. I am so grateful. Updates with images often and is extremely professional.”

“Great dog sitter! She was very accommodating, responsive, and attentive to my dog’s needs. I really appreciated her flexibility with my unexpected travel changes. She also sent photos and videos regularly, which I really appreciated. I would definitely recommend Larissa to others!”

“We are just so happy that we chose Ashley to leave our Golden and our American Bully with during this trip. We were kept updated with lots of frequent pictures and notes and we felt like we were with our dogs even while traveling. They were so happy they loved her and we would definitely use her again!”

“Dzeni and Kathy were absolutely wonderful with Bailey! From the start, their communication was clear and consistent, which gave us a lot of peace of mind. They were very attentive to Bailey’s needs, kept us updated with messages and photos, and made sure she was comfortable and happy the whole time. It was clear that they treated her with genuine care and affection, just like family. We came home to a relaxed and well-cared-for pup, and we couldn’t be more grateful. Highly recommend them to anyone looking for reliable, kind, and professional pet sitters!”

“Kelli and her family are my primary sitter for my three crazies. The dogs know where we are as soon as we pull up. They love it here. Fenced backyard, someone is always there, kids love to cuddle and play with them. Kelli sends pics and the pups are right at home!! Greatest sitter around!!! Thanks for making my trips worry free, Kelli.”

“I cannot say enough great things about Kathy and her family. Our elderly pup had top notch love and care while we were away out of the country. Kathy sent us daily updates and pics and really put us at ease. When we picked our puppy up it was evident that she had been cared for and thet she had felt at home with Kathy. Thank you soooooo much.”

“Jenna K did a great job sitting my sweet Bella. This was our second stay with Jenna K . Bella was happy to arrive, I think she knew she had a friend to play with. Jenna K took Bella on walks and gave her a special frozen treat on Sunday. Thank you Jenna K”

“To say that Larry and Renee are amazing is an understatement! It was abundantly clear how much they love and treasure all animals from the moment that we met with them. Our energetic pup stayed with them while we were out of town for a few days and they took him on adventures every day. From daily outings to the park, beach, and car rides, I'm pretty sure our pup had a better vacation than we did. Wonderful, wonderful people and I cannot imagine leaving Murphy with anyone else the next time we need a home-away-from-home. Many, many thanks!!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Trinity
Stephanie was absolutely incredible keeping my fur baby for 9 days! First time Rover user here and I’ve always been lucky to have family or friends keep my pup when I go on vacation for the last 6 years but this trip everyone I knew already had plans so I needed to find someone but was also very nervous to leave my dog with someone I didn’t know. However, I loved Stephanie’s profile & her previous reviews, so I decided to give it a shot. She quickly eased all my anxiety and my dog instantly LOVED her! She sent daily pictures and videos and kept me in the loop my whole trip. She wants your pet to have the same structure at her house as they do at home and I really love that. Hands down I will use Stephanie in the future and I highly recommend you book her too!

Mai was absolutely awesome!!! She took such good care of my baby Jagger and kept me posted with pictures and updates the whole time. Her home was lovely and comfortable and her pets were so welcoming to my pet. This was my first time leaving my pet through Rover and I highly recommend then and Mai. Such a professional and pet lover. Until next time and only with Mai. Thank you!

Alicia watched my dog and also took care of him over Christmas, and I honestly couldn’t have asked for anyone better. She is incredibly kind, loving, and attentive, and it was clear how much she truly cares about animals. I received daily updates, comments, and pictures, which gave me such peace of mind. My dog was happy, relaxed, and so well cared for the entire time. I felt completely at ease knowing he was in such wonderful hands. I can’t recommend Alicia enough — she’s truly amazing!

Anne was great with our newly acquired 5-yr old shelter dog, Toby. We are still working on potty training and good behavior with him so he wasn't an easy guest. We're implementing some helpful suggestions Anne offered and anticipate that Toby will be a better guest the next time around!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
