“Nicole was really great with our pup! I’m really grateful she made him part of her family for the holidays. She was always responsive and sent us some really great photos. When she dropped off something we’d left at her home, he was so excited to see her again! We’d definitely use her again.”

“Brianna took such good care of my Chloe. Booking was easy and she stayed in communication with me from the start and all during the stay. Thank you, Brianna for everything.”

“Celeste is amazing! She accommodated my booking on short notice during the holiday and took GREAT care of my spoiled golden. Bella had a fun time with the children and her 2 fur babies. THANK YOU, Celeste!”

“Joanna took excellent care of our pet and treated her with so much love and attention. She kept us updated every day with pictures and videos, which gave us great peace of mind while we were away. I would highly recommend Joanna to anyone looking for a caring and trustworthy pet sitter!”

“Jennifer was AMAZING. Very friendly and understanding of my travel plans changing last minute. She sent me pictures of my dog throughout my trip of him having a blast with her dogs and son. She even got him to walk on a leash for the first time; something me and my husband had been trying to do for 2 years. Defintely plan on using her again for our next vacation.”

“Grace took such amazing care of Bella, and I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better person to watch her. She kept sending us pictures all the time, which made us feel so comfortable and reassured seeing Bella happy and well taken care of. What really stood out was how much Grace cared about doing things the right way — she asked thoughtful questions about where Bella sleeps, how she eats, and what works best for her. You could tell she genuinely wanted to give Bella the best care possible. She was kind, attentive, and truly treated Bella like her own. I felt completely comfortable leaving Bella with her, and that peace of mind means everything. Highly recommend Grace to anyone looking for someone trustworthy and caring.”

“Thank you Carlos and family for taking care of my Charlie. He was happy to see us come back for him but the following few days he looked sad. I believed he really did have a good time at your house and was missing you and your family and your pets. I will use your service again if you will like to have Charlie back :) Thank you Bev”

“Al & Jean sat my 100 # lab. They sent me pictures and I wasn't sure if she wanted to come home, because she was having so much fun with Piper & Cooper. For the first time I did not feel bad about going away because she was so well taken care of. Great couple.”

“This is the first time we have used Rover and Lynn exceeded our expectations. She was wonderful with our very anxious aussie and we 100% trusted her! She sent pictures often which was a nice added touch for peace of mind. Thank you for taking such good care of our fur baby, Lynn!”

“Laura "R" was absolutely wonderful with Hennessy! I am so pleased with the care Hennessy received staying with Laura. Hennessy was always well-fed, walked, and played with every day. Laura kept me updated with regular photos and messages while I was away, which was incredibly reassuring and allowed me to fully relax on my trip. "I especially appreciated how Laura and her family was so welcoming to my Hennessy. The pictures and videos were so comforting and they made me laugh while I was away. Laura was always on time, responsive, and provided daily updates/logs." Henessy, clearly adored Laura and seemed so happy and content when I returned." I do highly recommend Laura and would definitely book Laura's services again. Thank you for the fantastic care!"”

“Kimberly was great. She took great care of my dog and provided daily picture updates. Her own doggie Bailey was really sweet as well. I would book with her again and recommend.”

“Jean was extremely pleasant and a fantastic dog sitter (along with her husband Bernie). I couldn't have been luckier to have found her to take care of my aging dog. About: I've always owned & cared for animals my whole life. I grew up around a farm when I was a kid and I've always had dogs & cats of my own. I currently own 2 Great Danes and 3 cats. I currently work full time but will take appointments whenever I am off work and available. I will only take appointments for pet sitting/daycare in my own home. Since I have 5 animals of my own I cannot leave them for long periods of time to stay in your home. I do have a very medium/large crate in my home if your animal needs to be separated. I own my own home close to Starkey Park and several dog parks. My yard is completly fenced in with 6ft privacy fencing. I also have a screened in pool for those pets that like the water. I have a large sized pet door that goes from the house out to the fenced yard. My cats are very friendly and love my dogs but take a little to warm up to other dogs. They also have a small pet door to escape to the garage if they are overwhelmed . My dogs get along with all other dogs and don't mind cats.

“Dzeni and Kathy were absolutely wonderful with Bailey! From the start, their communication was clear and consistent, which gave us a lot of peace of mind. They were very attentive to Bailey’s needs, kept us updated with messages and photos, and made sure she was comfortable and happy the whole time. It was clear that they treated her with genuine care and affection, just like family. We came home to a relaxed and well-cared-for pup, and we couldn’t be more grateful. Highly recommend them to anyone looking for reliable, kind, and professional pet sitters!”

I had a family emergency and had to move the date up and then extend my dog’s stay. She was very welcoming, understanding, and accommodating. While I was away she sent me messages and photos daily. My dog had a wonderful time with her and her family. She will be my first choice when needed again for when I’m out of town. My dog says he wants to go back at least once a week too. Thank you Lindsay, and family, much for your compassion and giving my dog lots of love while I was away.

It was our first time leaving our dog and I was nervous at first but once we had the meet and greet with David and Vicki I was relieved and knew I was leaving my fur baby in the right hands. I got pictures reassuring us that our dog was having a great time and even got one of her smiling. We will definitely go back to David any time we need it. Thank you David and Vicki!!

Kristie was the best person to look after Togo. Despite Togo having a lot of anxiety and giving her trouble all through the night, Kristie was incredibly patient. She took wonderful care of him and kept me reassured with constant updates. I couldn’t have asked for a better sitter!
I could not have wished for a better sitter for my Labrador Retriever, Winnie! Robin is a wonderful and warm person who truly loved and spoiled Winnie during the three weeks she looked after her. Robin sent pictures and updates every day, which gave me great peace of mind. Her two dogs are happy and friendly, and Winnie got along beautifully with them. I would not hesitate to recommend Robin to anyone looking for a caring and reliable sitter.

Alicia watched my dog and also took care of him over Christmas, and I honestly couldn’t have asked for anyone better. She is incredibly kind, loving, and attentive, and it was clear how much she truly cares about animals. I received daily updates, comments, and pictures, which gave me such peace of mind. My dog was happy, relaxed, and so well cared for the entire time. I felt completely at ease knowing he was in such wonderful hands. I can’t recommend Alicia enough — she’s truly amazing!

You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
