“We just completed our second boarding with Samantha and her family, and once again they were absolutely wonderful with Milo. Samantha is genuinely caring and has such a special way with pets. Milo celebrated his 6th birthday on 11/28, and it meant so much to receive photos of him enjoying a birthday treat with his furry friends. Samantha’s daughter even made an embroidered birthday cone with “6” on it just for Milo — such a thoughtful and unforgettable touch. Seeing how happy he was truly warmed our hearts. We are so grateful for the love and care they always give him. Thank you, Samantha and family! 🐾💛”

“Thank you Laura! I was stressed about leaving Abby with anyone but you and your family made it easy for me. I loved receiving text messages and pictures letting me know Abby was doing great and having fun. Thank you to your son for helping and loving Abby. You guys are awesome!!! Thank you!”

“Left our pup with Somer and Garrett for five days while we were out of town. He was treated so well and gets along with their pup famously. We will definitely utilize their services again in the future.”

“Robert & Marisa were absolutely the best sitters Lillybelle’s had. We were out of the country on vacation for twelve days. This was the longest we’ve had a sitter for her, and I was nervous about leaving her with someone that long. They arranged a meet and greet so Lillybelle could check it out and meet their sweet dog, Goldie. Marisa was very kind, reassuring, and answered all my fur baby mom questions. During our trip, “Mr. Bob”, sent messages and photos of her living her best “vacation” life. I really appreciated it, and it helped me feel at ease. I truly felt he cared for her like is own. When our flight home was delayed, he was very understanding and even offered to keep her another night if it would make it easier on us although it wasn’t needed. I highly recommend this sitter, and we will use them again. Lillybelle loved her time with Mr. Bob.”

“Miriam provided excellent care for my Alaskan Malamute. She kept me updated daily and sent photos, which gave me great peace of mind while I was away. It was clear from the photos that my dog was happy and well cared for with lots of belly rubs and attention from Miriam's kids. I also appreciated that there were other dogs there for my dog to socialize with. I would absolutely recommend Miriam to anyone looking for a reliable and caring dog sitter.”

“Sadie had a wonderful time with George and their dog Jake. Although I think Jake doesn't have Sadie's energy he has a wonderful disposition and put up with Sadie. Sadie slept the entire day her first day back home which tells me she got lots of excercise. Looking forward to her next visit.”

“Thank you for taking such great care of Jay and making him feel comfortable! And thanks for making us feel comfortable leaving him there and providing so many updates!”
“Lorraine lovingly cared for my two cockapoos for 3 days and 2 nights. She kept me informed with wonderful pictures, including a few with my babies snuggled up against her on the couch😍. She gave them lots of love and excercise. In fact, she took such good care of them that one of my pups didn’t want to leave her when my daughter went to pick them up! I highly recommend Lorraine to take care of your pups!”

“This was like a home away from home experience for our girl, Meadow. She got all the creature comforts of home and lots of activity to keep her busy! We're happy to know that if we can't bring our girl along that when she stays with Dzeni and Kathy she'll receive wonderful care and love.”

“I was worried to leave Bentley with strangers, but my worries quickly faded. Going forward Rover will be my first choice for pet sitting and I pray that Launa and Ethan will still be pet sitting. Bentley felt right at home. I couldn’t have asked for a better place for him to be. Thank you both so much.”

“Heather & Craig were so good to our fur babies while were gone for 11 nights! LOTS of cuddles, pictures, & TLC. We wouldn’t think twice about leaving our dogs with Heather again! Thanks so much!”

“Luis is an amazing dog sitter and an amazing kind person! I love his vibe and how friendly he is! He watched my husky Argo while I was away for thanksgiving, he listened to the instructions i asked him to do perfectly! He even told me if I had to stay another day away he would not care as he understands how traveling works and how crazy airports are right now. Argo left with the CUTEST little bandanna from them that they gave to him. Argo had the best time and slept well when he got home. If your wanting the best care taker and sitter book with Luis! I will be booking with him again!”

“Maxine took amazing care of my furry baby. She kept me updated every day with the cutest pictures and videos. I would recommend her to anyone who is looking for someone they trust to take excellent care of their pet 😊”

“Janet was wonderful! She is very friendly and personable! Bentley seemed very happy while he was there! She sent us lots of pictures & videos while we were away! We will definitely use her again when we go away!!”

“Kristen was most accommodating to my last minute requirement for a pup sitter. She was very communicative and sent me pics of my pup throughout her 2 day stay. I got delayed due to construction and rain so I ran late getting back. Kristen was most understanding as I kept in contact to keep her apprised of my ETA. My pup wad happy to see me and looked very well cared for while I was away. I highly recommend Kristen if you need a dog sitter as she is amazing. Thank you again, Kristen!”

Chandler was great with Paisley! He sent us daily photo and/or video updates, which showed Paisley having a great time with the other dogs! He made us feel comfortable knowing Paisley was being taken care of just like she was one of his own! When we picked Paisley up, she looked very happy and we would recommend Chandler to all of our friends! Thank you, Chandler! Paisley says, “thank you” & she will be visiting you soon.!!

Christine was a pleasure to work with. She is friendly and was very caring for my dog during her boarding at Christine’s house. Christine was very communicative and easy to get a hold of. She provided daily updates on my dog with pictures on most days. I could see how easy-going she was, but at the same time was very attentive to my dog’s needs and my instructions. Christine is clearly a dog lover and it shows with how sweet she was with my dog, and cared for her as if it were her own. This was my first time using Rover, and I highly recommend Christine as a boarder. I was not disappointed at all at giving Rover a chance. Christine gave me the confidence that everything would be fine. I could tell this was not Christine’s first rodeo. My dog warmed-up very quickly to her and there were no issues with my dog getting along with Christine. I plan to use her in the future when I need a safe and reliable person to board my dog.
I could not have wished for a better sitter for my Labrador Retriever, Winnie! Robin is a wonderful and warm person who truly loved and spoiled Winnie during the three weeks she looked after her. Robin sent pictures and updates every day, which gave me great peace of mind. Her two dogs are happy and friendly, and Winnie got along beautifully with them. I would not hesitate to recommend Robin to anyone looking for a caring and reliable sitter.

Alicia watched my dog and also took care of him over Christmas, and I honestly couldn’t have asked for anyone better. She is incredibly kind, loving, and attentive, and it was clear how much she truly cares about animals. I received daily updates, comments, and pictures, which gave me such peace of mind. My dog was happy, relaxed, and so well cared for the entire time. I felt completely at ease knowing he was in such wonderful hands. I can’t recommend Alicia enough — she’s truly amazing!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
