“Ashley goes above and beyond every time she comes over as a Rover. She even thinks of things and needs for my cat that I didn’t think of. She is an extremely great communicator. She’s patient with my shy cat and gives her the time to come out for attention at her own speed.”

About: I’ve taken care of pets ranging from young adult to senior age. I rescued a feral kitty with major injuries, worked with Tampa Bay Humane Society to take care of her health concerns, and officially adopted her in 2024. I have experience with caring for pets with seizures, needing diaper changes, having specific dietary needs, and more. I’m available any time, currently I have a lot of free time so I’m able to give your pets the attention they need even on short notice. I have a cat in one hole and multiple dogs in another and I give them whatever they need to be happy with me, in my clients home I do exactly as is needed
“Ashley is the best cat sitter we’ve had. She updated with great detail, great photos, and our cat has never been happier while we’ve been away. She’s is careful and detail oriented and we’re planning to rebook very soon.”

“This was my first time with a sitter, and Andrea killed it!! She was very thoughtful and prepared and sent me photos along the way for assurance. My dog absolutely loved her right away!”

“This was an excellent experience Katherine was on time every day and Oliver was well taken care of. All drop in visits lasted the full half an hour. I highly recommend Katherine she was amazing.”

“Cassie is always wonderful with my crazy scaredy cattos. Thorough, attention to detail, great communication. I am always relaxed knowing that she is looking out for them and making sure all is well. Thank you!”

“Thank you so much Karina! Your service is so appreciated and it is so amazing to know we can go out of time and trust our baby is being checked on and in good hands! Thank you for your time and effort with your drop in visits to keep or cat happy! We couldn’t be happier with the care provided 💕!”

“Laura took fantastic care of my newly adopted cat, Lillian, while I was away. Even though Lillian is still adjusting to her new environment, Laura was incredibly gentle, patient, and made her feel comfortable. She sent me regular updates and photos, which really helped ease my anxiety about leaving her for the first time. Not only did Laura keep Lillian company and play with her, but she also went above and beyond by cleaning up all the poop Lillian left outside the litter box (we’re still working on that). I highly recommend Laura if you’re looking for someone who’s reliable, caring, and actually puts effort into making your pet feel loved. I’ll absolutely be booking her again!”

“Valerie did a fantastic job checking in on my kitty, Benny. I loved receiving her updates and seeing the photos of her visits. Great and very quick communication, I will definitely be using her services again when needed. Thank you for taking such great care of Benny!”

“Linda goes above and beyond. Very caring, compassionate with my Buster and Blondie. Buster had stopped eating and drainage from eyes. He was dying. She talked to him and put the phone up to him for me to talk to him. He waited for me to get home Monday. Tuesday I took him to the vet and he had a very peaceful passing. A million thanks to Linda fir all she does. Debbie M”
About: I have had years of experience with dogs and cats Including experience working in an animal hospital as well as a kennel, and living in a multi dog household myself. I have lots of free time on weekends and holidays to make sure your pet gets the care needed, as well as time to provide care during the week days I have done lots of pet sitting in clients homes before and personally feel that is the best way to keep your pet’s comfortable. Yours pets comfort is impotent to me.
About: I've been taking care of pets for about 9 and 1/2 years. Two of the dogs I've owned have had epilepsy so I know what to do in case of a seizure, and make sure they receive their medications on time. I've also have owned two deaf dogs so I know the challenges that comes with them! While I haven't personally owned any cats, I'm open to to learning and making sure your cat is in good hands! I'm currently unemployed so I have all the time in the world to take care of pets. At home, I personally take care of my three dalmatians whenever my mom isn't able to, but I still will have plenty of time to take care of your pet(s)! I always make sure to be gentle and caring with pets in either situations. Whether it's playing in the yard, or just snuggling on the couch, the animal's well-being is my top priority!
About: What sets me apart from other sitters is my 10+ years of hands-on experience caring for pets of all ages, breeds, and personalities. I’m comfortable with everything from playful puppies to gentle senior dogs and cats, and I always tailor my care to meet their individual needs. I’m attentive, patient, and calm under pressure—whether that means helping with basic training, administering medications, or providing extra comfort for anxious pets. Every animal I care for is treated like family, with plenty of love, consistency, and understanding. My goal is to make your pets feel safe, happy, and loved while giving you complete peace of mind. I’m currently a student and a proud member of my school’s weightlifting team! My schedule is flexible in the afternoons and evenings, allowing me to care for pets between 4:00 and 9:00 p.m. on weekdays. On weekends, I’m completely free and can dedicate extra time to walks, playtime, and cuddles. Pet care fits perfectly into my routine. Safety and trust are always my top priorities. I make sure every pet feels comfortable and secure by following their usual routines and respecting their individual needs. In my care, pets are always supervised, kept in clean and safe environments, and given plenty of love and attention. I’m careful to follow all feeding, medication, and exercise instructions exactly as provided. Whether I’m in my home or yours, your pet’s well-being always comes first.

“I can't say enough about how awesome Sarah is...my dog runs to her when we arrive. Sarah is very flexible and responsive immediately...I had several sitters make appointments and cancel last minute...Sarah came through for me. Very reliable, and treats my dog so well!!”

About: Hello there! I’m Kelly! I pride myself on being very open and communicative, especially with someone else’s furbaby! I know how hard it is to leave your pet, and you can expect a "love note" from them when you're away! April of 2016 I adopted an Australian Shepard--my copilot Marley. I quickly became "that dog woman." She goes everywhere with me. I started to take my neighbors two aussies with us on side adventures when their humans had to work. I took a lot of time to train my girl and we are working towards therapy dog certification to be able to spread the puppy love to local children's hospitals. I'm a graphic designer by trade which gives me the flexible schedule that I have! Love to draw and also an avid runner! In my off time i'm usually training or off adventuring with my Aussie and kiddos. I have a 2 and a 4 year old that are just as obsessed with doggos as I am! My dog loves people and other animals so much that I want to be able to the take care of dogs while their people are away or working. I know it puts my mind at ease knowing if I am out without my dog that she is safe, happy and having a good time. I want to do the same for other "pet parents." I work at night and during the day I’m living that mom and dog mom life. I’m mostly available for walks and possibly boarding in home if your doggo is pleasant and fits. I have a fenced in backyard with a shaded deck. Oh and a GIANT fan. We’re on our back porch often and it’s nice to have a break from the sun but still get fresh shady air!

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - New Port Richey
I always have peace of mind every time I leave Selina and Moki. I've been using Rover and the same lady, Brianna, and she's been amazing! She puts up and follows my list of instructions and would send me photos and videos every day during the duration of my vacation or time away. I strongly recommend Rover, and most especially, Brianna.

Karina did a great job with our kitties. We could tell she was the one by the way she approached each of them when she came by in our pre-visit. She kept us in the loop while we were gone and was prompt and complete during her visits. We'll use her again if available for our future trips away.

Holly is our ONLY choice for kitty cat sitting when it comes to our 14 year old Benny, who is very independent, sassy, set in his routine that Holly totally understands. I absolutely have not ONE worry when away from home because I know Holly is in charge. She goes above and beyond every time she kitty sits for us. What a gift to have peace of mind knowing Holly will take care of Benny the way we do, his routine isn't interrupted, he is well fed / fresh water , litter box changed, played with, pictures and updates were daily sent. Most of all, Holly truly loves him...this is very evident and genuine. We will be calling Holly again very soon for future pet sitting !!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you Holly so much for your caring heart and attention to every detail !!!!!!! Appreciate you so much !
Our deepest thanks to Bethany! I was so afraid to leave my cat Red girl alone, we have never left her. Bethany came and went over every detail I had and made me so comfortable. I knew Red was in great hands. We received pictures and messages. I wouldn’t want anyone else to take care of my pets in future trips! Excellent job I wish I could leave a 100 stars for Bethany’s review.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in New Port Richey. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
