“As always, Ashley is amazing with our 3 boy cats. We even had an incident where one of the babies managed to get himself wedged in a tight spot, our neighbors were able to get him out but then he ran and hid. Ashley stayed an extra 25 mins after her drop-in was over just to make sure he was okay. So grateful for wonderful sitters like Ashley!”

“I can't say enough positive things about Angela. She was able to accommodate my last minute trip. She kept in contact throughout the day, provided adorable updates and pictures. Even though I was out of town, I felt my animals were in good hands, and I had peace of mind. I'm actually looking forward to going out of town again because I know my babies will be well taken care of. Thank you Angela!! I appreciate you!”
“Amazing sitter! Great communication the entire time and very patient and understanding with our dog who has separation anxiety. We felt completely at ease knowing our dog was in such caring and capable hands. Highly recommend!”

“This was my 2nd booking with Sierra and both times she has been excellent with my babies ! Appreciate her photos and detailed notes about everything. Can’t wait to book again!”

“Holi-Nicol did an excellent job caring for our two kitties. She sent an update with pictures during each visit. We didn't have a worry or concern the entire time we were away knowing they were in good hands. This was our first time using Rover and were pleased with how easy it is to use. We will definitely use Rover again and highly recommend Holi-Nicole to care for your special family members.”

“I spoke with all of my fur balls and they unanimously agreed that they enjoyed Diane’s visits very much. She did a great job on taking care of my babies and giving me updates each time on how it went. I would definitely recommend her again!”

About: Hi, I’m Skyy — a 27-year-old animal lover based in Tarpon Springs, Florida. What sets me apart is that I genuinely treat every pet like they’re my own. I know how important it is to trust someone with your furry family member, so I focus on creating a safe, loving, and stress-free experience for both pets and owners. Whether your dog loves long walks, extra playtime, cuddles, or just someone patient and calm to keep them company, I adjust my care to fit their personality and needs. I pay attention to the little things — keeping routines consistent, making sure pets feel comfortable, and giving them the affection and attention they deserve while you’re away. I’m dependable, communicative, and truly passionate about animals, so you can feel confident knowing your pet is being cared for by someone who genuinely loves what they do. One of the reasons I’m able to provide reliable and flexible pet care is because I work part time from home. This gives me a more open and adaptable schedule compared to many sitters and allows me to dedicate quality time throughout the day for walks, drop-ins, playtime, and check-ins. Because I’m not tied to a strict 9–5 office schedule, I’m able to be more available for midday walks, last-minute needs, consistent potty breaks, and extra attention for pets who may need more companionship during the day. I genuinely enjoy getting outside, staying active, and spending time with animals, so dog walking fits naturally into my daily routine rather than feeling rushed or squeezed in. Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my top priority. I provide a clean, calm, and trustworthy environment where pets can feel secure and cared for while you’re away. I have a fully fenced-in yard that allows dogs to safely play, explore, and get exercise in a secure space with close supervision at all times. I understand how important it is to leave your pet with someone you can truly trust, which is why I focus on creating a stress-free and loving environment where animals feel comfortable and at home. I’m attentive, patient, and always mindful of each pet’s individual needs, routines, and safety. Whether it’s during walks, playtime, feeding, or relaxing indoors, your pet will always be cared for with love, responsibility, and close attention.

About: Hello there! I’m Kelly! I pride myself on being very open and communicative, especially with someone else’s furbaby! I know how hard it is to leave your pet, and you can expect a "love note" from them when you're away! April of 2016 I adopted an Australian Shepard--my copilot Marley. I quickly became "that dog woman." She goes everywhere with me. I started to take my neighbors two aussies with us on side adventures when their humans had to work. I took a lot of time to train my girl and we are working towards therapy dog certification to be able to spread the puppy love to local children's hospitals. I'm a graphic designer by trade which gives me the flexible schedule that I have! Love to draw and also an avid runner! In my off time i'm usually training or off adventuring with my Aussie and kiddos. I have a 2 and a 4 year old that are just as obsessed with doggos as I am! My dog loves people and other animals so much that I want to be able to the take care of dogs while their people are away or working. I know it puts my mind at ease knowing if I am out without my dog that she is safe, happy and having a good time. I want to do the same for other "pet parents." I work at night and during the day I’m living that mom and dog mom life. I’m mostly available for walks and possibly boarding in home if your doggo is pleasant and fits. I have a fenced in backyard with a shaded deck. Oh and a GIANT fan. We’re on our back porch often and it’s nice to have a break from the sun but still get fresh shady air!

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Anclote
Ashley was WONDERFUL! She was attentive to our cats and ensured they were fed, watered, and loved in our absence. Ashley even went out of her way to clean a mess one of the kitties made. She provided exceptional and detailed check-ins, to include many, many pictures of our babies. Most of all, Ashley was attuned to the kitty's various personalities and met them where they were. When one wanted to be alone, she left her be. When another wanted to follow her around, she let him. Ashley also never shyed away from giving our babies play time and affection. I cannot recommend her enough.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Anclote. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
