“Laura took fantastic care of my newly adopted cat, Lillian, while I was away. Even though Lillian is still adjusting to her new environment, Laura was incredibly gentle, patient, and made her feel comfortable. She sent me regular updates and photos, which really helped ease my anxiety about leaving her for the first time. Not only did Laura keep Lillian company and play with her, but she also went above and beyond by cleaning up all the poop Lillian left outside the litter box (we’re still working on that). I highly recommend Laura if you’re looking for someone who’s reliable, caring, and actually puts effort into making your pet feel loved. I’ll absolutely be booking her again!”

“Jean was great with Shylah. She walked and played with her at every visit and we could tell by the pictures that Shylah was happy and well taken care of. This was the first time we did not have a problem with Shylah eating while we were away. We appreciated the peace of mind we had with Jean taking care of Shylah and we plan on using her again.”

“I highly recommend Melinda! She was wonderful with my dog Toby, who is apprehensive of strangers. She knew how to interact with him and gained his trust. I look forward to using her services again!”

“We had Rebecca come every other day to take care of our cat, Dora. Besides checking on food and water and scooping out the litter box, she let Dora out on our screened-in lanai where she gave Dora plenty of affection and played with her. Part of the time Dora sat on her lap and they "chilled" together. Rebecca sent plenty of pictures during her visits. We also have a large dog, Ellie, whom Rebecca did not take care of but did meet and interact with on two occasions. She expressed to me her love of dogs and knew just where to scratch and pet Ellie.”

“Stephanie is exactly what you're looking for if you need someone who is caring, considerate, and kind. She took in-home care of my two beautiful babies for two weeks and she was absolutely exquisite. Thank you, Stephanie for the great care, beautiful pictures and videos and keeping my babies safe.”

“Melissa is top notch. Very responsive and very kind. She politely told me she had another pet sitting obligation booked but was able to stop by afterwards which worked even better for me. My boy is older and does not walk stairs real well and she boosted him up the stairs from behind as well. Absolutely everything you hope for when you come on Rover. 5 stars would not be enough. Thank you Melissa!!”
About: I’m a hardworking and caring person who absolutely loves animals, especially cats and dogs. I’ve had plenty of experience caring for pets and pet sitting in the past, and I truly enjoy spending time with them. Dogs bring so much joy into life, and I’d love to bring a little joy into theirs while you’re away. I enjoy running and taking long walks, so if your dog loves exercise, I’d be more than happy to join them. Every dog deserves love, no matter their age, and it would be my pleasure to care for them. Cats, with their calm and unique personalities, hold a special place in my heart too. I’ll make sure your cats feel loved, respected, and cared for while you’re away. Thank you for considering me to look after your furry family members! I currently on a teacher on summer break and have open availability! So take that mid week trip to Disney or to a water park! I will respect the space that I am in. This is your pets territory so I will ensure that it is well respected. Making sure they feel comfortable and safe is my number one priority.
“Our dog, Ranger, loves Christy! Christy takes the best care of Ranger when we are out of town. He always looks so happy in the pics Christy sends. Christy gives the best updates so we can enjoy our trip and know Ranger is doing good at home. 1000% recommend Christy!”

About: Personally I have been petsitting for the past 5 years, whether it be cats or dogs. I have experience with breeds of all sizes and ages, and administering medication. I am also a kennel tech, so I have more formal training as well. I am currently a part time kennel worker, but am looking to possible lessen my shifts and do rover part time instead for more flexibility. When it comes to playtime outside, if they owner has a fenced in yard I will allow them off leash and be out there supervising them the whole time. As for walks, I will get the dogs hooked up in their collar or harness prior to even going towards to front door and ensure everything is fit and secured properly.
“Melissa did a awesome job with taking care of my two cats. She was very responsible and attentive to my cats needs. She communicated daily and even did extra work that I didn't ask for. We will definitely use her again.”

“This was the first time Alyssa took care of my cat, and she was awesome! My cat is usually shy around strangers but he took to Alyssa right away. Alyssa went above and beyond to make my cat feel comfortable and loved while also sending me lots of pictures and updates. Would highly recommend!”

“Lydia & Emmett did a wonderful job with both of our girls Lilly and Mia - they gave them all sorts of love and played with them - gave Mia her insulin that she needed. I would definitely have them again soon.”

About: I’ve had pets for as long as I can remember! We used to foster sick animals and newborns when I was younger, so we had many dogs and cats come through our house. This in turn resulted in my love for animals to grow immensely, as I wanted to provide as much love as possible to our fosters while they were with us. Currently, I have a two year old Goldendoodle who is my pride and joy. She is pampered and treated like royalty, as she deserves. I also have a nine year old cat that I adore, he is incredibly loving and affectionate. I consider your pets to be just as important as my own, and will treat them as such! I currently work from home for three days out of the week, so I have some flexibility with my schedule. Happy to discuss further with any future clients! Happy to be flexible based on the animals current routine, whether that means letting them out in the yard or taking them for a walk to use the restroom.

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - East Lake
This is our first time working with Jessica and I can not say enough what a great experience it has been. We came home after a 10 day trip to a relatively calm happy cat. Getting pictures and notifications were spot on and made the trip worry free. Thanks Jessica you will be hearing from us again!

We couldn't be happier with our experience! From the moment we met Christy during our meet-and-greet, we felt confident that our kitties would be in wonderful hands — and she exceeded every expectation. Christy was incredibly reliable, always on time, and followed every instruction carefully, from feeding routines and cleaning the Litter-Robot, to making sure our cats got plenty of playtime and attention. It was obvious that she genuinely cared about their well-being and treated them as if they were her own. She provided thoughtful updates and photos throughout our trip, which helped us feel connected and confident that everything at home was going smoothly. Knowing our cats were happy and well cared for allowed us to truly enjoy our trip. Christy told us that caring for our cats felt like a dream gig because she lives nearby and they were such sweet companions. The truth is, finding her felt like a dream come true for us! We feel incredibly fortunate to have found someone so dependable, caring, and professional. Exactly the kind of person you hope to find when entrusting someone with your pets and home. We wouldn't hesitate to book her again – she is an exceptional pet sitter and person. Highly recommended!

Laura was so wonderful to my sweet Lucy! She responded so fast and even dropped by the same day for a little meet & greet. Lucy is always a bit shy when around new people, but Laura’s first visit she had loads of pictures of them playing. Highly recommend and will use Laura in the future 🥰!!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in East Lake. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
