“Lydia and Emmitt are FANTASTIC! They have watched our senior dog twice now, each stay a week long, and they are simply the best. They are so kind to our dog and take excellent care of her. They communicate frequently, send regular photo updates, and always leave our home cleaner than it was when they arrived. Cannot recommend them more!”

About: As a lifelong dog lover and owner for 10 years, I’m now embarking on a new chapter after 24 wonderful years in Chicago. Following a long career in advertising sales, I’m seeking a slower-paced, more fulfilling path — one that lets me combine my reliability with my love for animals. At 49, I bring maturity, responsibility, and genuine care to every pup I watch, ensuring your they are looked after as if they were my own. Also, the doodle you see in some pics is my amazingly chill, gets along with every living thing, sidekick Lambeau. So please note your dog(s) must be okay with other dogs. I'm currently taking some time off and won't be going back to remote work until the fall '26, at the earliest. So I'm very flexible with my time at the moment. I live in an apartment complex (2 bed / 2 bath) with a huge unfenced grassy area off my lanai, that Lambeau and I call our own backyard. I also live across the street from John Chesnut park, in the Tarpon Woods area so Lambeau and I spend lots of time at that huge dog park and/or exploring the various trails. So if you're open to that as well, I'll gladly take your pup(s) over there for some adventures.
“Peyton was amazing, great communication and provided photos while we were out. My doggos seemed very happy to have a new face to get all the loves from. Will definitely rebook and use in the future if she will have us.”

About: Since I was a child I’ve been an animal caregiveer. I’ve had numerous pets that I was responsible for caring for. Rabbits, hamsters, birds, fish and always owned dogs. As an adult Ive always owned dogs, two at one time at one point. My friends and family always ask me first to watch or care for pets when they’re away or working because I’m a true animal lover and caregiver 🤍 I currently don’t work until noon on weekdays so mornings are perfect for me. I am off on Wednesdays and available all day. I am available to watch pets in my home or your home. If you don’t mind my little 10 pound dachshund Tellulah. She is a little shy, but she gets comfortable quickly with other dogs. I live in a condo and have walking trails all around my community. I also live right near John Chestnut Park, which has a great dog park. If preferred I can crate your dog. Tellulah is not crated. She sleeps with mom.
“Doug is such a caring person. He took amazing care of our dog and house for more than a week. Our dog absolutely loved him. Moreover he took care of our plants and fish. He also did a very beautiful sketch of our dog. He is so talented! We are highly recommending him!”

About: I may be new to the Rover community but I’ve had dogs my whole life. I currently have 2 a golden retriever and a mini Aussie. I pet sit for many family members and friends in the neighborhood including both cats and dogs. I would love to get to know your furry friends! I currently am a college student home for the summer so I am free whenever to pet sit/pet walk. This is literally my dream job. I am willing to do anything that the owner needs for their pet. I love dogs and am very willing to do anything needed in your home.
“Larry was awesome! He really took the time to get to know our pets and his gentle and loving nature really resonated with them. We have a puppy and an old dog, so their needs were quite different. Larry handled them seamlessly. He sent pictures and updates which reassured us. Our dogs were loved and taken care of. I am so happy that we picked Larry and Renee!!! We will definitely use them again.”
“McKayla kept us updated with regular photos and messages, which really gave us peace of mind while we were away. Buster, who can be a bit needy, warmed up to her quickly, and Trixie absolutely adored her! It was obvious they were both happy and loved while in her care. We highly recommend McKayla to anyone looking for a responsible and caring dog sitter. She treated Buster and Trixie like her own, and we’ll definitely be asking her to watch them again in the future!”

“Melinda is fantastic. I had her house sit and care for my high energy dog and cat that needs meds 2x/day for a full week. She asked plenty of questions to be sure she knew their needs along with the household schedule. We got a detailed daily summary with plenty of pictures. It was obvious that my pets were having their typical day in our absence. My house was immaculate and my pets were happy and healthy upon our return. I recommend Melinda highly.”

“Alexandra was a good communicator, punctual and above all kind and loving with my dogs. She sent lots of updates with photos and left the house clean. I will definitely hope to use her services again.”
About: My dog is my whole world. He’s family. And I’m sure your pet is your whole world as well. That’s why I make it my priority to treat your pet the way I want someone to treat mine; like family (Olive Garden and I share the same sentiment). I have experience caring for young and old dogs. I also make sure that I closely follow any routines or schedules that you provide. I am a teacher, so during the summer months I will have a lot of availability to walk, drop-in, stay with, or host your dog. I am happy to come to your home to care for your pet. I do have my own friendly dog, so I ask that if you need me for more than an hour or two that he be allowed to join me. He gets along great with dogs and cats. We can arrange a meeting before having your dog and mine interact. For care in my home: Welcome home! My dog is allowed on furniture, and so is yours. I have a spare bedroom where a kennel can be set up for dogs who like their space at night (or they can be with me). I have a screened lanai for dogs who like to be outside but don’t want to run around.
East Lake pet parents share their Rover experiences
Melissa was amazing while we were out of town! Our pups need eyedrops twice a day and she notified us after every dose so that we knew they were staying on schedule. Loved the frequent photos and updates! Our return flight was majorly delayed and she was so helpful through that as well! We will absolutely use her services in the future!
