“Ashley accommodated my last minute request and I couldn't be more thankful. She took great care of our girl and made sure to leave me detailed notes about her visit and lots of pictures. I will definitely be using her for all my future pet care needs!”

“I can't say enough positive things about Angela. She was able to accommodate my last minute trip. She kept in contact throughout the day, provided adorable updates and pictures. Even though I was out of town, I felt my animals were in good hands, and I had peace of mind. I'm actually looking forward to going out of town again because I know my babies will be well taken care of. Thank you Angela!! I appreciate you!”
“This was my 2nd booking with Sierra and both times she has been excellent with my babies ! Appreciate her photos and detailed notes about everything. Can’t wait to book again!”

About: I provide reliable drop-in visits and dog walking with a focus on keeping pets comfortable in their own home. I have years of experience with pets of all ages, sizes, and personalities, including pet sitting, training, and working in a veterinary office and animal shelters. I’m patient, attentive, and treat every pet like my own. I offer afternoon and evening walks, as well as drop-in care. I work about 30 hours a week outside the home, but only in the morning/ early afternoons. I make sure each pet gets consistent, dependable care, attention, and companionship while you’re away. I prioritize maintaining your pet’s normal routine to reduce stress. I follow all instructions closely and provide a calm, safe, and clean environment during each visit. My goal is to help pets feel secure and owners feel confident in their care.
“Amazing couple that were always on time and excited to see my dogs. My dogs can be a handful and cause a lot of mess and I came back from a vacation with a spotless home and my dogs were all happy. I will use them again and highly recommend.”

“Absolutely AMAZING care of ALL of our kitties, and we have a “Crazy Cat Lady” house full! I can tell in the photo’s and video’s how much affection and attention they were given, including making sure our extremely skittish cat was found at each visit, to ensure she received her wet food along with the rest of the crew. There was ongoing communication to ensure the best care for our babies. I will most definitely be reaching out again the next time we need a pet sitter!!”

“Our dog, Ranger, loves Christy! Christy takes the best care of Ranger when we are out of town. He always looks so happy in the pics Christy sends. Christy gives the best updates so we can enjoy our trip and know Ranger is doing good at home. 1000% recommend Christy!”

About: I have been pet sitting since I was 15 and over the years I have gained the hearts of many families and their fur babies. I know how to read animals body language, gain the animals trust Before going to school I will always check up on any animal I am taking care of and after school I will go straight to take care of the animals and let them out. Before bed I will let the animals out to use the bathroom I will follow the list the owners give me and if the owners says I need to sleep at their house I will to make sure their animals are safe and happy. When caring for my animals at home I always makes sure they have fresh water, food and enough love
“Laura took fantastic care of my newly adopted cat, Lillian, while I was away. Even though Lillian is still adjusting to her new environment, Laura was incredibly gentle, patient, and made her feel comfortable. She sent me regular updates and photos, which really helped ease my anxiety about leaving her for the first time. Not only did Laura keep Lillian company and play with her, but she also went above and beyond by cleaning up all the poop Lillian left outside the litter box (we’re still working on that). I highly recommend Laura if you’re looking for someone who’s reliable, caring, and actually puts effort into making your pet feel loved. I’ll absolutely be booking her again!”

“Reagan was amazing to us and to our dogs. This was our first time using Rover and she made us feel very comfortable. Communication was great and she updated us with photos daily. The dogs seemed really happy and well taken care of when we got home this evening so they obviously loved her too! We also had a couch that was unexpectedly delivered while we were away and she managed to get the heavy boxes inside without us even asking her to. So sweet! I can’t recommend her enough and will be using her anytime we go out of town in the future if she is available!”

“Valerie was wonderful with our kitties! Our cats are not used to strangers at all and Valerie was patient and allowed them to get used to her. Valerie visited our cats twice a day for a week and we got two wonderful pictures a day to keep us from missing them so much! My husband and I highly recommend Valerie. In fact, we are actively looking for a regular daily visit for the cats and were sad that Valerie's schedule wasn't going to work with ours! We only wish we could give Valerie more than a 5-star rating!”

“Jessica did an outstanding job taking care of our kitty for a few days. While you can tell she loves animals, she also treats caretaking seriously as a business. Jessica was right on time for each visit. She took the time to provide detailed feedback on each visit- not just providing cursory info. She was very responsive each time I reached out to her. I asked that she wear our cat out with play each time, and Jessica delivered. Can't recommend more highly. Your fur babies will be in trustworthy hands.”

About: Hello there! I’m Kelly! I pride myself on being very open and communicative, especially with someone else’s furbaby! I know how hard it is to leave your pet, and you can expect a "love note" from them when you're away! April of 2016 I adopted an Australian Shepard--my copilot Marley. I quickly became "that dog woman." She goes everywhere with me. I started to take my neighbors two aussies with us on side adventures when their humans had to work. I took a lot of time to train my girl and we are working towards therapy dog certification to be able to spread the puppy love to local children's hospitals. I'm a graphic designer by trade which gives me the flexible schedule that I have! Love to draw and also an avid runner! In my off time i'm usually training or off adventuring with my Aussie and kiddos. I have a 2 and a 4 year old that are just as obsessed with doggos as I am! My dog loves people and other animals so much that I want to be able to the take care of dogs while their people are away or working. I know it puts my mind at ease knowing if I am out without my dog that she is safe, happy and having a good time. I want to do the same for other "pet parents." I work at night and during the day I’m living that mom and dog mom life. I’m mostly available for walks and possibly boarding in home if your doggo is pleasant and fits. I have a fenced in backyard with a shaded deck. Oh and a GIANT fan. We’re on our back porch often and it’s nice to have a break from the sun but still get fresh shady air!

I am available those evenings, Sundays and Mondays. Saturdays every other weeks, depending on my kennel schedule at the hospital. I’m currently working full time, doing my kennel duties. Sometimes i do my janitorial duties, it is part of my kennel job. Walks, poop scoop, feed, do cats, cleaning chores (daily, weekly and monthly), clean cages, setting up cages for boarders. Karina did a great job with our kitties. We could tell she was the one by the way she approached each of them when she came by in our pre-visit. She kept us in the loop while we were gone and was prompt and complete during her visits. We'll use her again if available for our future trips away.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Holiday. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
