“We are thrilled with how well Jodi took care of Peanut! His usual boarder was unavailable so we had to find someone new we could trust. Jodi treated Peanut as her own and took him for daily walks. She sent lots of pictures and updates, which I love. Highly recommend!”

“Another wonderful visit at David and Vickie’s! Our Lucy always has a great time at their home and we never worry about how she’s doing! We received updates and beautiful pictures throughout the weekend! Thanks again for all you do!”

“Christine is so nice, thoughtful and kind. She sent lots of pics & videos so I always knew what was going on with our pup. Thanks for a great stay! We will be back!”

“We just moved here and needed to find sitter for our year old Aussie. We had only left her with my n laws in the past so we were a little nervous about leaving her and for so long. Somer, Garret and their two children took such wonderful care of Lainey girl! They sent us videos everyday and updates on how she was doing, I knew she was getting lots of love from this family. We’re so thankful to have found them!”

“Laura and Ethan took such good care of our furbabies. They sent pictures and texts daily and always kept us informed. We will definitely use them again. I know Hannah and Riley enjoyed their stay!”

“Clary exceeded all our expectations. She accepted our last minutes two day sitting request within minutes of our request. This was Sasha’s first time staying at her place. Clary stayed in contact with us throughout Sashas stay sending pictures of our baby enjoying play time with other dogs she was sitting. Sasha will definitely be spending more time with Clary and her family in the future if she is available. Thank you for taking care of Sasha.”

“I can’t say enough good things about Anne. She recently took care of my dog, Lola, and went above and beyond to make sure she was happy, comfortable, and well cared for. From the start, communication was excellent — I always felt updated and reassured with pictures and messages about how Lola was doing. It was clear that Anne genuinely loves dogs. Lola immediately felt comfortable and safe, which gave me great peace of mind while I was away. She got plenty of walks, playtime, and attention, and I came home to a very happy pup. I highly recommend Anne to anyone looking for a reliable, caring, and trustworthy dog sitter. I’ll definitely be reaching out again the next time I need someone to take care of Lola.”

“My dog had so much fun she’s still sleeping 8 hours after I picked her up! Dulce sent me lots of pictures and videos during the stay I will definitely choose her next time!”

“Thanks so much for taking good care of Eulee. He is going to miss being off leash in your yard. Not something he can do at home unfortunately. Thanks for the glucosamine chews too!”

“Chandler was absolutely wonderful with our dog! He was kind, gentle and patient - you can tell right away that he truly cares about animals. Our dog warmed up to him immediately and we felt completely at ease knowing he was in such good hands. We came home to a happy relaxed pup and couldn’t have asked for a better sitter. Highly recommend Chandler to anyone looking for someone trustworthy and compassionate”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs of every kind since I can remember. Neighbors, friends and family have relied on me to walk, feed and bathe their pets. As well as personally having 4 dogs myself. Flexible with Schedule, will try to adjust my time to clients needs. Afternoons and weekends preferably, but not restricted to those times. Thank you . Fenced in half an acre backyard. Air conditioned garage, crating if needed for dogs. Spare bedroom as well for overnight pups. Fur babies are priority.
About: I've always owned & cared for animals my whole life. I grew up around a farm when I was a kid and I've always had dogs & cats of my own. I currently own 2 Great Danes and 3 cats. I currently work full time but will take appointments whenever I am off work and available. I will only take appointments for pet sitting/daycare in my own home. Since I have 5 animals of my own I cannot leave them for long periods of time to stay in your home. I do have a very medium/large crate in my home if your animal needs to be separated. I own my own home close to Starkey Park and several dog parks. My yard is completly fenced in with 6ft privacy fencing. I also have a screened in pool for those pets that like the water. I have a large sized pet door that goes from the house out to the fenced yard. My cats are very friendly and love my dogs but take a little to warm up to other dogs. They also have a small pet door to escape to the garage if they are overwhelmed . My dogs get along with all other dogs and don't mind cats.
“We asked Alicia to doggy sit at very last minute, probably 2 hrs heads up notice. She was very accommodating and our pup seemed to enjoy her stay. We appreciate Alicia working with us in our time of need!”

“Thank you Carlos and family for taking care of my Charlie. He was happy to see us come back for him but the following few days he looked sad. I believed he really did have a good time at your house and was missing you and your family and your pets. I will use your service again if you will like to have Charlie back :) Thank you Bev”

“My Gatsby had such a wonderful time playing with Ally and her dogs. Ally went above and beyond for Gatsby, as he came down with an upset stomach right before he was supposed to stay with her. Ally administered his medication and gave me updates about how he was feeling. She also sent many pictures and videos. I will definitely request a stay with Ally again!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Hudson
This was Rogue's first visit with Jean and Al and he spent 8 days with them. He was well taken care of, had other dogs to play with, and they sent us a few pics while on pur trip to show how he was doing. They are very pleasant people and have a fenced in backyard. Rogue will definitely go back.

We had a wonderful experience with Lisa and Scott! They took amazing care of my dog and kept me updated with pictures throughout his stay. He looked so happy, relaxed, and comfortable—it truly felt like he was at a second home. He had an absolute blast playing with their dogs, especially Monkey! The two of them seemed inseparable, and it was so heartwarming to see how much fun they had together. They also went above and beyond by feeding him their own food after he ran out of the food I had provided. I really appreciated their kindness and generosity. I would absolutely trust them with my dog again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a caring, reliable boarder!
Christian is absolutely fantastic! His love for animals is obvious and he treated Finley like she was his own. I got pictures, videos, and updates daily and could hear him talking to her so sweetly when he walked her or played with her. I so appreciate all of the attention he gave her and his home is very nice, super clean, and well taken care of. Finley is like my baby and I’ve never left her with anyone other than family before. I will DEFINITELY be using Christian anytime we need a dog sitter in the future. Highly recommend.
Kenny watched our pup Jax and it was our first time ever having someone watch over him. Kenny was so nice and answered all our questions and had great communication. He also checked in with us by sending us updates and photos of how Jax was. Overall, will definitely be booking again! (:

Brianna was absolutely amazing with our 3-week-old kittens while we were away on vacation. It’s never easy leaving such young babies, but she made the entire experience so much less stressful. When we picked them up, they looked bigger, healthy, and completely content. Such a clear sign of the love and care she gave them. She kept us updated, was attentive to their needs, and treated them like her own. We couldn’t have asked for a better person to trust with our kittens. Highly recommend Brianna to anyone looking for a caring and reliable sitter!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
