“This was the first time Alyssa took care of my cat, and she was awesome! My cat is usually shy around strangers but he took to Alyssa right away. Alyssa went above and beyond to make my cat feel comfortable and loved while also sending me lots of pictures and updates. Would highly recommend!”

About: Hi! I’ve been caring for animals of all kinds since I was 11 years old, and they’ve always been a huge part of my life. I currently have a mini Goldendoodle, and my roommate has a medium Goldendoodle, so I’m very familiar with their energy, personalities, and daily care needs. I’m reliable, hardworking, and treat every pet as if they were my own. Whether your furry friend needs walks, playtime, cuddles, or attentive care while you’re away, I’d love the opportunity to help. My goal is to make sure both you and your pet feel comfortable, happy, and cared for every step of the way! I work fully from home with a flexible schedule, which allows me to give your pet the attention, care, and companionship they deserve throughout the day. Whether it’s frequent potty breaks, walks, playtime, or just having someone around to keep them company, I’m able to be attentive to their needs. I’ll make sure your furry friend feels safe, loved, and well cared for while you’re away. I have a fully fenced-in backyard where dogs can safely play, explore, and get some fresh air. I especially enjoy taking dogs on walks to help them get exercise. Every dog is different, so I’m happy to match their energy level and routine to make sure they feel comfortable, happy, and well cared for.

About: Hi! I’m Rachel, and I’m an animal lover who genuinely believes pets are family. 🐾❤️ I know how stressful it can be to leave your furry babies with someone else, so my goal is to make the experience as comfortable and worry-free as possible for both you and your pets. I’m patient, attentive, and happy to follow your pet’s normal routine so they feel safe and comfortable while you’re away. Whether your pet wants lots of cuddles and attention or prefers a little space, I’m happy to meet them where they are. I’m especially comfortable caring for cats and love getting to know each one’s unique personality — including the shy, sassy, and slightly spoiled ones! 🐈⬛💕 I’m also very responsible when it comes to feeding schedules, medications or special instructions, litter box care, playtime, and keeping you updated while you’re away. Your home and your pet will always be treated with the same care and respect I would want for my own. I’d love the opportunity to meet your pets and help give them a happy, comfortable experience while you’re away! 🐾 Pet care fits naturally into my routine because I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals. I’m able to build visits and pet care into my daily schedule and make sure each pet gets the attention, care, and consistency they need. I’m very comfortable following established routines, including feeding schedules, medications, litter box care, playtime, and other special instructions. I also understand that pets thrive on consistency, so I make it a priority to be dependable and keep their routine as close to normal as possible while their owners are away. 🐾💕 I care for pets in their own home by keeping their routine as consistent and comfortable as possible. I follow all care instructions closely, including feeding schedules, fresh water, litter box care, playtime, cuddles, medications, and any special treatments they may need. 🐾 I’m respectful of my clients’ homes and treat them with the same care I would want someone to show my own home. I also make sure pets receive plenty of attention and companionship while their owners are away, while respecting their individual personalities and boundaries. I’ll provide regular updates and photos so you can relax knowing your fur baby is happy, safe, and being well cared for. 💕
“Melissa is great! She is always willing to go the extra mile to make her clients happy. She is great with my puppy and always a pleasure to work with. Would highly recommend!”

“Kristen went above and beyond for my Bruno! And she did it on short notice and a holiday none the less. Couldn't be more thankful for her dropping in. I will ask for her again!!”

About: I have worked professionally with large and small breed animals. Animals warm up to me quickly and we become good friends. Safety is always a priority. I am certified through IAP Career College for pet sitting. I am flexible depending on location. I prefer to work with you on weekends. I live in North Pinellas County and I would like to stay in that area. I have a large breed dog I care for. I walk him twice a day. I feed, bath, administer medication, and take him to the vet
“Peyton took great care of our lab while we were away. Our dog loved her time with her, and Peyton was very good at keeping us updated. Communication was great! Thank you, Peyton!”

About: I have lived in a pet loving home nearly my entire life, from cats and dogs to fish and snakes. This passion has led me to volunteer at Pet Pal Animal Shelter, a no-kill shelter, and work at Dogism Dog Daycare & Training as my first job! These combined have blessed me with a wealth of experience taking care of dogs of all breeds, ages, and personalities. I work full-time, until 5 pm, Monday through Friday. Weekends are almost always available for me. Keeping my schedule separated between my full time work and pet caring ensures that your pet will have my full attention! Being entrusted to care for a pet at a client's home is never something I take lightly. I have experience giving medication, managing high-energy dogs, and cleaning up after pet messes, all with respect for the spaces they and their owners occupy.

“Last minute I needed someone to come see my older dog over the weekend and Martha & Brett were great and quickly accepted my drop-in request and were excellent communicators. I’d highly recommend them and their services!”

“I needed a last minute sitter and Elizabeth came through. My dogs looked happy when I came home and I was able to enjoy my evening knowing my dogs were well cared for. Highly recommend.”

“Heather was amazing! Took great care of our pitty mix! She cleaned up after his messes, made sure he ate and took him on plenty of walks! Would highly recommend and will be using in the future! Thank you Heather!”

About: I've been caring for animals since I was a kid, and that lifelong love of pets is part of who I am. As a mother and pet parent myself, I understand how important it is to find someone reliable and nurturing to care for your furry family members. I’ve raised and cared for both cats and dogs, and currently share my home with Penny, my lovable German Shepherd/Akita mix—so I’m very comfortable with big dogs. You can count on me to treat your pets with the same care and attention I give my own. As a stay-at-home mom with a child in Kindergarten, I have a flexible and consistent schedule that allows me to offer quality pet care during the week. I’m available on Monday through Friday from 9am to 2pm—perfect for midday walks, drop-in visits, or spending time with your pets while you're at work or running errands. I am also available for weekend care. Caring for animals fits naturally into my routine, and I truly enjoy the break it brings to my day. I’m committed to providing loving, reliable care during those hours and making sure your pets feel happy and well cared for. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I prioritize safety, trust, and respect for their space. I always follow instructions carefully and make sure your pets stay in their familiar, comfortable environment. I’m mindful of routines, feeding schedules, and any special needs your pet may have. As a reliable and responsible caregiver, I treat your home with the same care I’d want for my own. Your pet’s well-being is my top priority, and I work hard to ensure they feel safe, loved, and stress-free while you’re away.

About: I have 2 pups of my own, 2 kids, and have taken care of family and friend’s pets when they have traveled or needed care. My work hours are flexible which provides me plenty of opportunity to take care of your pets. My pets are family and yours would be too. I have flexible work hours, a car for availability to be mobile, and can take care of the animals as needed. This will ensure proper care for your pets needs. I have a fenced in yard and a home with plenty of space for animals. We have plenty of room for a furry friend or 2.

About: On top of being a vet assistant for almost 10 years now, I have my own 5 pets that I take care of, each with their particular set of needs. I know all about having a specific routine so I’ll make sure things are done exactly as requested! I have two crazy pit mixes at home, but I also had my family Yorkie that I would take care of up until she passed back in 2025. I also have 3 cats, one of them being special needs (CH, IYKYK). I currently work 10 hour shifts, Monday-Thursday as a vet assistant. I normally go home during lunch anyway to let my own dogs out, so I could always try to accommodate extra time to let your dogs out as well if needed. Since I’m very limited on time during those days, I’d have to be relatively close to my job (10-15 min) to be able to provide midday care for everyone. Weekends (including Friday) I have more flexibility though, as my boyfriend would be home to take care of my pets while I take care of yours! I know a pet’s home is the most comfortable environment for them, so I will do my best to keep the comfort level while you are away. I can walk wherever/however long they need, provide adequate play, and just spend as much time as possible so that they never feel alone. I can also do any additional tasks around the home, such as light cleaning and taking care of any plants you may have (watering, etc). I’ll always make sure to tidy up before your arrival, that way you have more time to decompress without worrying about cleaning up after me :)
“Holly was always very diligent about updating to walks and providing pictures. Her and our puppy got along great. Appreciated the reliable check ins while we were gone. Will definitely seek her out again.”

“Rick did a great job and treated my Ozzy like he was one of his own. I would highly recommend his services his background in dogs is impressive. Will be using his services again in the future.”

About: I’ve always loved animals and had many pets throughout my life. I’m experienced in taking care of kittens, cats, and both large and small dog breeds. I’ve had to administer oral and topical medication for cats and dogs, so I’m comfortable with pets that need a little extra care. I also have many invertebrates and reptiles as pets so I’m perfectly content in pet sitting for households with other pet species present I’m a college student with my weekends and middays-afternoons free. Most of my time is spent studying so I have plenty of time to stay with your fur babies as long as you need. For drop ins, just be aware that currently, I can only do visits after 2pm on Mondays and Wednesdays, and 1pm on Tuesdays. After those times however, I have my entire day and night free. I’m very gentle and soft spoken, I will respect your home, belongings, and pets. Just clarify whatever household rules you have if needed and I will follow them to a T. If your pets have any special needs just tell me, and I will also upkeep a calm and quiet environment.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Palm Harbor
Christine was wonderful with my dogs while I was away! She took such great care of them and made sure they were happy, comfortable, and well looked after. It gave me so much peace of mind knowing they were in such caring and capable hands. Christine was attentive, responsible, and clearly loves animals. I came home to happy, well cared for dogs, and I couldn’t have asked for a better sitter. I highly recommend Christine and would absolutely trust her with my dogs again!

Amanda was wonderful! She came by twice today to check on and walk Novi while we were at the beach all day, and it gave us such peace of mind knowing Novi was in great hands. We absolutely love her, and Novi does too! We’re so grateful for how dependable, caring, and sweet she is. Highly recommend!

Jennifer did a fantastic job caring for my dog while I was out of town. From the moment we connected, she was professional, dependable, and genuinely caring. She kept me updated, made sure my dog was well cared for, and gave me complete peace of mind while I was away. When I returned home, my dog was happy, healthy, and clearly comfortable with Jennifer. It’s obvious she truly loves animals and takes her responsibilities seriously. I would highly recommend Jennifer to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring pet sitter. I wouldn’t hesitate to have her watch my dog again in the future.

Brookelynn is phenomenal! This was our first experience using Rover for our 4 fur babies and initially I was very nervous to have someone outside of our friends and family watch them. Brookelynn put all our worries at ease! Her and her husband were so attentive with our dogs Jax and Leo (who can be an handful) and took extra special care of our cats Opal and Rue. I’ll definitely be working with them again! Thank you both for providing my babies with the best care ❤️

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
