Animals have been in my life since I was a young girl, dogs, cats, and birds. When my children were young, we raised a litter of 8-German Shorthaired Pointers, it felt like the Disney story only with German Shorthairs not Dalmatians! Over the years I have taken care of my friend's and neighbor's animals when needed, sometimes for days, weeks and as long as a month at a time. I am now retired; my beloved pets have passed on, of course, I miss my animals so much and now I have found that helping others with their pets has filled that place in my heart. I look forward to the opportunity to meet you and your pet(s) and build a new furship!

Lorraine is the kind of person you can completely trust to take care of your furry friends. I think our pup feels like he is on vacation when he enters Lorraine’s home because he is so excited and ready to be lovingly spoiled. If you want peace of mind while you are away, Lorraine checks all the boxes.
I really wish Rover had more than 5 stars to give Lorraine. She is fantastically perfect. We’ve found no one better than her to care for our little man. I’m not the type to leave a review that isn’t truthful. She’s seriously the best.

Schedule
I am retired, a natural caregiver and love being outdoors and staying active. I am a homebody and enjoy the company of pets, be it cats, dogs, or birds. I spend time working in my yard and would welcome the company of a furry friend.

I own my home which is fenced. I do have a pool so animals will not be left unattended in the backyard. My neighborhood is perfect for dog walking. I communicate with clients as to their needs and wishes for the pet care, whether it's for walks, drop ins, boarding, etc.
A typical day
Every dog is different, some love to fetch, others just want to cuddle. Finding what makes the client's dog happy is key. I think you can find out a lot about an animal on walks and spending quality time with them. Communication with the owners about their pet's enjoyable activities and being good company for their pets.

- Any special needs or quirky behaviors that their dog may have. What makes them happy? What is their favorite thing to do? Of course, treats, mealtimes, walk times will all need to be sorted out according to what the dog is used to having. I think keeping the pet in their regular routine provides comfort and lessens stress.
