I'm a current college student, so I have plenty of time outside of classes to take care of your beloved pets as needed whenever you may need me. To care for the pets in your home, I feed them, play with them, and keep a close eye on them to keep them out of trouble, as well as anything else that could possibly be needed.
“Chris was wonderful! He took care of my dog at my home for 8 days. He showed up on time or early for every visit, stayed longer than required and did everything properly. My dog really likes him! I had to go out of town on short notice, and Chris came right over to meet us, and came back both morning and night to see her routine. He took very good pictures in the Rover app that reassured me that Bella was in good hands I highly recommend him!”

About: Animals have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember, and caring for them is truly my passion. I’ve worked with dogs of all sizes and ages—from gentle giants like Great Danes to the tiniest teacup pups—each one with their own unique needs and personalities. My experience at a busy doggy daycare gave me hands-on knowledge of countless breeds and temperaments, and I’ve also cared for dogs with special needs, including those who are blind, deaf, or living with dementia. No matter their size, age, or ability, I provide patient, loving, and attentive care so they feel safe, happy, and at home. I know how much your furry family member means to you, and I take that responsibility seriously. When you trust me with your dog, you’re getting more than just a sitter—you’re getting someone who will treat them with the same love, compassion, and dedication that I give my own pets. I currently self employed and working from home. I have a lot of time to care for any fur babies that need great care while their owners are busy. I am open to boarding a dog at my house. I have a fenced in backyard. I do prefer to go to the clients house if possible only because the dog would be most comfortable in a filmier setting.

I would love the opportunity to care for your fur baby and promise to treat them like the family that they are! I have many years of experience in my background that I believe qualify me to be entrusted with your animal. Growing up in a small farming town, has broadened my range in this field. I currently own a seasonal summer business which opens my winter months up. I can be flexible with my schedule at this time. Please let me know what you are looking for so we can see if it is a great fit ! Currently I will not be able to board pets at this time . I am happy to come to your home and do in home care.
“Kaitlyn was very communicative the whole time. She was always asking questions so Wes would be comfy at all times. It took a little time for them to get used to each other, but that’s normal! Definitely recommend. ?”

About: I have grown up with multiple animals, mainly dogs. As a child, I was surrounded by cats, dogs, lizards, and fish! To this day I still have 3 dogs, and help my friends watch their fur-babies. I raised one of my rescue dogs from a 5 week old puppy and she is now a healthy adult. I am currently a part-time college student at USF, where I have classes on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. Together, we can create a schedule that makes me the perfect sitter for your pets!! Sadly, I cannot house your pets in my own home due to my own pets. Though I will gladly follow any instructions in caring for your fur-babies at your home to ensure their comfortability!
About: Hi, I’m Harlyn your pet’s new best friend and a proud fur mama with a heart (and home) full of animals. Since 2017, I’ve had the joy of caring for everything from senior pups and spicy cats to chickens, goats, turtles, and even a monkey once! Whether it’s a playful kitten, a quirky lizard, or a gentle old soul, I’ve loved them all like my own. At home, I’m lucky to share life with a lovable pack of three dogs and one orange cat with a big personality. I’ve experienced the highs of zoomies and the lows of loss, and it’s given me a deep understanding of just how much our animals mean to us. They aren’t just pets—they’re family. That’s exactly how I treat every animal in my care: like family. You’ll get plenty of updates, sweet photos, and peace of mind knowing your pet is safe, spoiled, and loved. Because to them, we’re their whole world—and they deserve nothing less. Thank you for reading! Message me for a better prospective, phone calls are encouraged as well. As a preschool teacher with an 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM schedule, my days are built around both my students and my pets. I’m usually up by 5:30 AM to start my morning routine with our pack—feeding, meds, potty breaks, and a little love before I head out the door by 8:00. I’m back home by 6:00 PM and immediately shift into full-time pet parent mode. Evenings are filled with walks, cuddles, playtime, and care routines, and I usually wind down around 11 PM or midnight. Pet care is deeply woven into my everyday life—it’s not a chore, it’s a rhythm I genuinely love. I exclusively offer pet care in your home, because I believe pets are happiest and most comfortable in their own familiar space. My goal is to keep their routine as normal and stress-free as possible—whether that means sticking to specific feeding times, managing medications, taking frequent potty breaks, or simply giving them love where they feel safest. I take the time to understand your pet’s unique needs and quirks, and I treat your home and animals with the same care and respect I give my own. You'll receive regular updates and photos, so you can enjoy peace of mind while you're away, knowing your pet is being cared for like family.

“All was good when I got home after a week. My lovebirds and my cat didn't snub me too much so Valerie did well. Sent me pix and notified me daily if entering and exiting my home. Lily even allowed her to get close which is very unusual... I will use Valerie every time I need someone...”

About: Ever since I was little my family has always owned some type of animal. We’ve owned 4 English bulldogs, a cat, a hamster and 2 ferrets. Now, I myself own a 1 year old miniature dachshund named Franklin. I love taking care of all animals and making sure they get the proper care they need and more. I currently work about 30 hours a week. My schedule isn’t the same every week so depending on what time and days I work, I set aside time to make sure I can come and take care of any pets that need it, whether it’s on my days off, or before or after work. In my clients homes all pets will have clean fresh water and will be fed given the directions of the owner. The pets will also get plenty of exercise whether it’s playing in their backyard or going on a walk. Along with playing inside with their toys. I also make sure that pets feel comfortable in their own home and will make sure they get lots of love and attention.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
To find sitters in Hernando Beach with recurring or weekly availability, select "Repeat Weekly" and which days you’d like them to care for your pet.
