“Jessica was very accommodating to Bella’s and my needs. She sent pics to let me know that Bella was doing fine, and didn’t have an issue with Bella being active around her young child. Would definitely book her again in the future! She’s awesome!”
“Nicolette and her entire fam are rockstars in the pet sitting world! They were so loving and patient w/ my Sandy. They went above and beyond to make him feel at home and a part of the family. “I had a wonderful experience with Cody as my sitter. From the start, he was responsive and reassuring. During the stay, he sent frequent updates complete with adorable photos, which made a huge difference in calming my nerves about leaving my pet behind. Everything went smoothly, and my Haitta was clearly comfortable and loved. Cody is reliable, caring, and communicative. I'll be rebooking with him for sure on my next getaway!”

About: I’m a dog person. I’ve never been without a dog and have owned many breeds; A Chihuahua, German Sheppard, cockapoo, English Springer Spaniel, mixed breeds, Jack Russell Shortie. I love them all. Currently I own a 15 year old senior Corgi and an 18 month old long haired Mini Dachshund puppy. I can’t get enough of dogs. I have also dog sat for many neighbors and family. My daughter owns two very active Australian Sheppards and they love me! because I am retired and home full-time i can shower your fur babies with love, attention and activities. Please save me from owning too many dogs by allowing me to invite your pup(s) into my home! I am retired and I do volunteer work, about 10 hours a week. I have a senior dog who requires eye drops and a special diet. In addition my youngster dachshund has completed puppy training, house training and socialization. She loves to play, if you have a puppy, my home is puppy proof and I will help you work on housebreaking. I have a large home with a fenced yard. I have two well socialized and pet friendly dogs. A 15 year old Corgi and an 18 month old mini dachshund. My dogs are crate trained. Visiting dogs can be crate trained or free to roam the house. On furniture is fine, but I will adhere to your rules. I do not allow dogs in my bed.

“This was my first time ever using dog vacay and I could not be happier. molly was a great host for my pup. You can tell immediately that she genuinely cares about animals. I felt completely comfortable Leaving my dog there. I would recommend her to anyone in the Orlando area”

About: I've taken care of animals my entire life. Cats, dogs, birds, iguanas, ferrets and a few farm animals too. I was involved in an animal rescue group for several years, fostering many animals who had health issues. I firmly believe that all animals deserve love, shelter, safety, and food. I fall in love with almost every animal I meet! Even chickens! When I'm taking care of an animal, they get a majority of my attention and affection. I do some work from home so it should blend well. I like to meet with the owners and pets a couple of times before to be sure the animals are familiar with me and learn any important information for each pet. I try to follow the owners routine so that the pets are not confused.
“Sarah was a great caregiver of my little 6lb dog, answering all of my questions and addressing my concerns. You could tell that she truly cared for the dogs under her watch and was invested in giving them a good experience. I will be using her again!”

“Launa & Ethan are the perfect hosts for your small dog, they treat Bentley as if he is a member of their family, we would not leave him with anyone else. I highly recommend them !!!”

“After a meet and greet we decided to have Diana watch our two Pugs for an overnight stay. Diana has a wonderful home, a loving family, and a friendly Milo. There is a separate basement level for the dogs, and a shaded fenced backyard. We found Diana to be conscientious, organized, thorough. She provided excellent communication from the time we reached out, until the booking was complete. We knew our pooches would be in good hands. We definitely plan on using Diana again.”

“Jocelyn was fantastic! Our dogs were happy, relaxed, and clearly well cared for while we were away. She went above and beyond by successfully administering medication to our puppy, which gave us so much peace of mind. Communication was great, and it was obvious she genuinely cared for our pets. We came home to happy pups, and we wouldn’t hesitate to book with her again. Highly recommend!”

“I am over-the-moon with how Peanut was treated. He came home happy and tired (he had just had a walk). Somer and Garrett provided lots of pictures and updates and were fantastic with communication and timelines - even when I wasn't. I highly recommend Somer and Garrett!”

“Brendalee and Ruben were so awesome! They took care of my active golden retriever and sent me pictures. I appreciate them for taking care of our fur baby while we traveled. 10/10! Definitely recommend.”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
