“Andrea is great with dogs. This is the first time we had to have a sitter for our 3 year old dog. She has not been without us for three years. Andrea send us pictures from time to time when we were gone on are trip. That made my wife and I very happy! We will have Andrea watch her again if we need her.”

“Carolina was absolutely amazing!!! Zoe just loved her family and her pups!! Our Zoe is just a puppy and came home learning how to sit and is already so much more obedient. We will definitely be using her again in the near future!! Thank you so much Carolina for loving on our pup and making her feel at home!!!”

“Maria was wonder with our fur kids. They were very well cared for. I would recommend her to anyone that needs a pet sitter & we will definitely use her again in the future.”

“Rosie had an amazing time staying at Korie's house and we will definitely use again. Korie had excellent communication and sent pictures and videos of her time there. Don't hesitate to use Korie for your pet, you will not be sorry!!”

“Teddy and Gina enjoyed their stay with Rebecca. During their visit, Rebecca sent pictures of Teddy and Gina playing and snuggling. Rebecca was easy to communicate with and was responsive to all our questions. This was a great first experience.”

“Stefhany was amazing! We did a meet and greet first. Our two dogs (JJ / 5 years old and Rusty / 5 months old) seemed to enjoy being there, and they took to Stefhany right away. We were apprehensive when dropping them off, because we have never left them before. Shefhany put us right at ease! THEN she took photos and a video EVERY DAY!!!! It put a smile on our face every day and reassured us that the fur babies were healthy and having fun. We have already booked our next weekend away in August! We are so happy we found Stefhany and Jean! We HIGHLY recommend them! A+++ More than 5 stars if we could! Thank you Stefhany and Jean!”

“Katherine was an excellent sitter for my two dogs. She kept me up to date throughout the day and shared pictures and videos of my girls. She took care of my girls as if they were her own - spoiled and pampered. Katherine was great and I highly recommend her for your pet sitting needs! I'll definitely call on Katherine again in the future to take care of my girls.”

“If I could give more than five stars, I would. Being this sitter's very first Rover client turned out to be a wonderful experience, and I wouldn't hesitate to book with her again. From the very beginning, she was communicative, thoughtful, and genuinely invested in making sure my pup felt comfortable and cared for. She treated him like one of her own, and it was clear that his happiness and well-being were her top priorities. I received updates that gave me complete peace of mind, and when I picked him up, he was relaxed, happy, and clearly well loved. Everyone starts somewhere, and if this first experience is any indication, she's going to be an incredible asset to the Rover community. Don't let the lack of reviews fool you—she exceeded my expectations in every way. I wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy, compassionate, and dependable sitter. We'll definitely be booking with her again!”

“Isabella was amazing. She took care of my two small dogs for six days. I got daily pictures, sometimes more. and they were so happy. She was quick to respond to messages. If I lived in the area I would be hiring her on the regular. Best dog sitter we have had.”

“Dianette kept our fur baby Stormy while my family and I went on vacation. It was our first time leaving our dog with a sitter. I was a bit nervous but my dog had a great time with her dogs and loved her family. Dianette’s home has lots of outdoor space to offer. I could tell my dog felt safe and at home. Dianette has great communication, she provided daily updates and photos while we were away. Dianette is amazing and highly recommended.”

“We are so thankful to have found Gage and Ann. They are attentive from start to finish, always answering our questions and helping to reassure us that our dogs are in great hands. Our pups felt right at home with Gage and Ann, quickly adapting and settling in for their vacation. It can be scary leaving your dogs with strangers, but Gage and Ann were immediately comfortable and kind, and so easy to work with from start to finish. We highly recommend them and will absolutely ask them to watch our dogs again in the future. Thank you so much, Gage and Ann!”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
