“Carilyn is very responsive. Accepted my booking quickly late night. Asked and answered my questions. I will definitely use their services again in the future!”

“It was a very kind gesture on his part to offer us a previous visit. We very much appreciate your interest in getting to know Susy and her needs. That certainly gives us peace of mind. We were confident that Susy was in good hands during her stay. Thank you so much for your kindness and attention.”

“Theresa was wonderful. Our pup was cared and loved during her stay at her house. She made sure to update me with pictures and video of Jackie. I highly recommend Theresa.”

“My Luna and we all, as a family, had a great experience leaving her at another home for the first time. They treated her as a family member; she played a lot and had tons of fun with their Milo. They were too patient with her needs and treated her with much love. We definitely will have Luna there again!”

“We are so thankful to have found Gage and Ann. They are attentive from start to finish, always answering our questions and helping to reassure us that our dogs are in great hands. Our pups felt right at home with Gage and Ann, quickly adapting and settling in for their vacation. It can be scary leaving your dogs with strangers, but Gage and Ann were immediately comfortable and kind, and so easy to work with from start to finish. We highly recommend them and will absolutely ask them to watch our dogs again in the future. Thank you so much, Gage and Ann!”

“Idalis and her family took amazing care of my baby Penny. It was my first time leaving her with someone “unknown” and Idalis made everything feel so comfortable by setting up a meet up before and showing us all she has to offer to take care of our beloved girl. Her house and backyard are amazing, Penny was able to socialize with other dogs and she kept sending me pictures of everything they were doing while she had Penny. Overall, I’d recommend Idalis and her family to take care of your dog and would definitely be using her services again when needed! Thank you Idalis and Alex.”

“I am very happy that I have found Shayla to be my home-away-from-home for my Maltese! Bentley loves being outside and Shayla provides a large yard and watches him just as well whether he is inside the house or outside the house. She treated Bentley with all of the love and care that I would provide for him myself. She sent me daily pictures of him too so that I felt very comfortable that he was happy while I was away. It is blessing to have found her.”

“I want to give you 5 stars Karrie. I want to thank you for all the care, spoiled, love and all the attention to my babies as if they were yours. Keep sending me pictures and videos every day. You made my mini vacation go smoothly and safely with my babies. I recommend you 100% and if I need a babysitter again it would be you. Thank you for everything, take care and continue your good work.”

“Wonderful experience all around! My dog was well-cared for and Sandy was even nice enough to do me a favor by giving me treats for my dog for her Easter basket since I forgot. My little girl was expecting something in both their baskets. ☺️ We received pictures also while we were away. Would highly recommend Sandy!”

“Pickles had another fun-filled stay with Poliana. He is always happy, healthy, and tired after his visits. He gave her so many kisses when he saw he was visiting again, so it was an easy drop-off.”

“Denny and her husband are so incredibly kind. We could not have been more grateful to have them take care of our two fur babies. We had some last minute changes to our holiday plans and were in need for sitter. Denny and her husband were available - we even hopped on a video call to meet each other beforehand. The one thing I loved the most is that they keep the dog families separated from each other. One of our fur babies has a lot of anxiety with other dogs and this really helped ease our concerns. Scooter and Taz had the family room to themselves. They went on daily walks and we received multiple pictures several times a day to keep us updated. They were also flexible with drop off and pick up. Although we were sad we couldn’t spend Christmas with our fur babies, we were happy they were in good hands! We 100% recommend Denny and her husband and would use them again in a heartbeat!”

“The best dog sitting experience we ever had! Sheryl and James treated Kevin like he was their own! We received daily updates with pictures and videos. It was an absolute wonderful experience! Look no further! Thank you so much for your care and kindness! Kevin will be back soon!”

“OMG WE LOVE JAMIEEEEEE!!!!! Jamie and her family were amazing in every way!! Jamie is a true dog mom so right from the start you could feel that instant connection!!.. Out little girl Pinky was happy and playing with their dog Evie and fit right in with the rest of the family. She took care of her as it f she was her own,,, It is a beauuutiful atmosphere, a beautiful family and a BEAUTIFUL mom who watched over our little girl with love. We look forward to having Pinky spend more time with Jamie and her family in the near future, Thank you JAMIE you are the BEST!!!!!!!!”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
