“There is so much to say. Christina, her husband and kids were INCREDIBLE with our dog. We decided to book last minute as opposed to a boarding place and we couldn’t have been more happy! Christina sent us updates with images of our dog happy as can be! She was super professional and kind and I cannot recommend her enough. Very grateful and if given the opportunity again would love for her to watch our dog!”

About: I have been caring for pets for over 22 years. I was raised on a large rural farm in VA. I grew up raising farm animals; including cows, horses, goats, pigs, dogs and cats. On the farm, I was responsible for the welfare of many animals; so my work experience, ethics, compassion and love of animals grew. A "true animal lover" as they call me, I have a passion for all animals. In 2000 I opened a petsitting company in Maryland. I ran that business successfully for 17 years and brings all that experience with me to Central Florida. My compassion for animals is strong. I currently operates a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization (Felicia Foundation). This foundation travels to a different country each year, with certified veterinarian volunteers to help dogs in need. 30% of all profit from Pet-Sitting is donated back to pets in 3rd-world countries via the Felicia Foundation. These funds pay for yearly "animals mission trips". I have traveled for the past 8 years with veterinarians as a vet assistant. My foundation pays for dogs who desperately need immediate surgery, vaccinations, spay and neuter services, food and medications. I have brought all that passion, experience, dedication and love for animals to Central Florida. I have a pretty open schedule which allows me to be able to do any walks or drop ins throughout the week. I am flexible! When I do my drop ins, I always make sure that doors are closed behind me so no one can escape. I follow my pet owner’s instructions to keep their pets routine. I also love sending my owners photos when I visit.
“Jennifer & Mitchell were great hosts for our girl Alaska, they made her felt welcome and got along with thier pets, we really appreciate the time they took out of thier holiday weekend to take care of our girl.”

“AMAZING!! We are so grateful we found Rosario. We adopted Juni just a month before our trip. While she is great with people she is not great around other dogs yet. Rosario is truly a dog whisperer and I felt reassured knowing Juni was in the hands of someone so knowledgeable about dog behavior and how to train them. We will definitely use him again if in the area. He also provided many updates which my daughter loved 💕”

“Anastasia is an awesome dog sitter. She is affordable. She communicates well. But most of all…she took care of both my big dogs with such love and care just like I would. She gave them attention and love and care that they need. She took them for walks and sent me photos. Give her a chance, you will love her taking care of your fiurr babies. She is simply awesome!”

“Our dog was so well cared for and loved with Christine and her family. We got pictures and updates throughout her stay and our dog looked so comfortable and at home within an hour of being there. We would use Christine again without hesitation!”

“I work from home, so my Tobi is fortunate to have me near. Needless to say, the decision for a pet sitter was a struggle. Well, I was blessed to have met Andrew and his lovely wife. They have a sweet spirit! Tobi was so loved and well care for. I was reassured by daily pictures and videos. If you can imagine a puppy smiling? Tobi was. Haha. When I picked him up, he was clean, calm, tired and contempt. I would , without reservations, recommend Andrew' s care. Thank you for caring for Tobi as your own ?”

About: My name is Linsa Morales, I am 35 years old and I have more than 10 years of experience in pet care. I studied and graduated as a Veterinary Assistant Technician and since then I have worked in personalized pet care. I also volunteer at county shelters and some non-profit organizations where I care for and foster animals. My goal when I take care of a pet is to make it feel safe and not change its routine while the owner is away, so that it feels like it's on vacation while it's with us. I adapt to different types of pets, from very small dogs to senior dogs, as well as cats and birds. This is my full-time job for the moment, I'm always at home. So my life adapts according to which pet I'm taking care of at the time. My house is very safe and has very open spaces. We let our pets feel free to climb on the furniture. We also have several beds and a large fenced patio where they can run around safely. We don't have children or other dogs. We do have cats who love dogs.
“Elisabeth is the german shepherd whisperer! She was communicative, attentive, and very open to Parker and all of his weirdness! I will definitely be using her for future bookings and all german shepherd peoples can def trust her with their babies. Thank you for all the love you showed to my baby!”

“María was an absolute joy to work with! He have never had any watch or fur baby before, besides family, because our dog can be very anxious/ nervous around strangers. María made our dog feel extremely comfortable and took excellent care of her. She also made me feel extremely comfortable with leaving her for a 10 days and was great at communicating throughout! I would absolutely recommend María, she is very kind and caring towards dogs and people!”

“Karrie did an amazing job taking care of our girl for the week we were away. Sent us updates, pics and vids of our girl having a great time with her family and pups. Would definitely use Karrie as a sitter again. Thanks again for taking great care of our girl ❤️”

“Christine was an amazing sitter for Fanum! Her home is perfect for dogs, with plenty of space to play. Fanum absolutely loved her, and I think her grandkids were a big part of that – they were so gentle and fun with him. Christine herself is super personable and made it easy to communicate throughout the week. I could tell Fanum was in great hands. I highly recommend Christine to anyone looking for a caring and reliable dog sitter!”

“Kristin was so caring and loving with my senior dog. I knew he was in great hands the entire time I was away and did not need to worry about him. I will definitely be booking with her again in the future.”

About: Hi! My name is Alyssa. I am a lifelong dog owner and former dog foster parent. I have experience caring for dogs of all natures - senior dogs, reactive dogs, and administering medications. I know the anxiety that comes with leaving your fur baby. Leave that worry at the door when your pet stays in my home! I will love and care for you let as if they are our own! My work allows me to be home all day, allowing me to provide personalized care and attention, never miss medication doses, and plenty of cuddles! My husband also works remotely two days a week. Although he will not be responsible for care, he shares my love and compassion for dogs and will love your pet like his own too! We own a 5 year old, 80lb Catahoula Leopard Dog Mix named Duke. He is neutered, well-trained (he talks with buttons!), very socialized, and adapts well to visiting dogs. He will lie down when playing with smaller dogs and respects boundaries when playtime is over. My home is currently child-free, creating a quiet environment with a perfectly sized, fenced in backyard. My home and yard provide a variety of enrichment and separate spaces for dogs who prefer their own area. I look forward to welcoming and caring for your pet in our home! I am incredibly grateful to be able to be fully remote 7 days a week. My husband works remotely two days a week, in office 3 days. My dog and I love spending time outdoors, either playing out in the yard or relaxing in our screened in porch! When my husband gets home from work we like to take family walks around our quiet, safe community. I provide a safe, calm, and structured environment where every dog can feel comfortable and secure. My home is child-free with minimal clutter for dogs to get into. We have a full fenced backyard with no neighboring dogs, for supervised outdoor playtime. I am home throughout the day, allowing me to closely monitor pets, maintain routines to elevate stress, administer medication, and provide plenty of attention, exercise, and love. We have crate trained my dog and can give him crate time to provide separate spaces and help all dogs feel comfortable. My dog may be big but he is incredibly intelligent and empathetic. He has been noted to comfort and welcome new dogs at his day care. He is impressive with understanding boundaries and can either give your dog space or be your dog’s new BFF (best furry friend!)! I

Shanny was wonderful with my dog and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for reliable pet care. She was responsible, attentive, and kept me updated while I was away. This was Princess first time staying away from home. I was a little worried about her staying with a sitter. Sheena and her family were great with Princess they took my worries away. They sent pictures everyday and my baby appeared to be very comfortable. Thanks Sheena for making my Princess a part of your family. We look forward to spending time with Princess again.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
