“Venessa was great with my dog, Hailey. She is very good with dogs and understands their needs. She has a very nice home with a large, fenced in yard. She was very accommodating to my schedule.”

About: Hi! My name is Alyssa. I am a lifelong dog owner and former dog foster parent. I have experience caring for dogs of all natures - senior dogs, reactive dogs, and administering medications. I know the anxiety that comes with leaving your fur baby. Leave that worry at the door when your pet stays in my home! I will love and care for you let as if they are our own! My work allows me to be home all day, allowing me to provide personalized care and attention, never miss medication doses, and plenty of cuddles! My husband also works remotely two days a week. Although he will not be responsible for care, he shares my love and compassion for dogs and will love your pet like his own too! We own a 5 year old, 80lb Catahoula Leopard Dog Mix named Duke. He is neutered, well-trained (he talks with buttons!), very socialized, and adapts well to visiting dogs. He will lie down when playing with smaller dogs and respects boundaries when playtime is over. My home is currently child-free, creating a quiet environment with a perfectly sized, fenced in backyard. My home and yard provide a variety of enrichment and separate spaces for dogs who prefer their own area. I look forward to welcoming and caring for your pet in our home! I am incredibly grateful to be able to be fully remote 7 days a week. My husband works remotely two days a week, in office 3 days. My dog and I love spending time outdoors, either playing out in the yard or relaxing in our screened in porch! When my husband gets home from work we like to take family walks around our quiet, safe community. I provide a safe, calm, and structured environment where every dog can feel comfortable and secure. My home is child-free with minimal clutter for dogs to get into. We have a full fenced backyard with no neighboring dogs, for supervised outdoor playtime. I am home throughout the day, allowing me to closely monitor pets, maintain routines to elevate stress, administer medication, and provide plenty of attention, exercise, and love. We have crate trained my dog and can give him crate time to provide separate spaces and help all dogs feel comfortable. My dog may be big but he is incredibly intelligent and empathetic. He has been noted to comfort and welcome new dogs at his day care. He is impressive with understanding boundaries and can either give your dog space or be your dog’s new BFF (best furry friend!)! I

“Rosalie isn’t just another boring dog sitter - she’s THE BEST dog sitter! Butters had such a fun stay with Miss Rosalie and the other dogs. Miss Rosalie took Butters to the dog park daily, and even took her to a Halloween costume party for dogs and dressed her up! I feel so much better knowing my dog is in good hands with Rosalie while we travel. 10/10 will be using Miss Rosalie again.”

“Kristin was so caring and loving with my senior dog. I knew he was in great hands the entire time I was away and did not need to worry about him. I will definitely be booking with her again in the future.”

“Li was great in her care of our cat. She provided daily updates and even let our cat partake in a bit of holiday celebration dressing up. Even though she had two pets of her own she made sure our cat felt comfortable during her stay. I definitely recommend her and her family as they are great clients here on rover.”
“Jonathon & Aimee Such a beautiful experience letting our baby on your hands, we are very lucky to find you and be able to be away from him having the peace of mind of knowing he was totally fine. You guys were awesome from the day we contacted you, you were always available for us and keep us updated about Brownie the whole time, we know how comfortable he felt the whole time with you. We loved how attentive, caring, reliable and loving you were throughout this weekend! We really appreciate it. Thank you also for taking the time to send all those cute pics and send brownie home with a goody bag to keep having fun. WHOEVER IS OUT THERE LOOKING FOR A HOME AWAY FROM HOME FOR YOUR BABIES. JONATHON AND AIMEE ARE THE ONES. Thank you guys!🫶🏼🫶🏼🫶🏼”

“Thank you so much for taking such wonderful care of my baby. Leaving her with someone new is always a bit nerve-wracking, especially since she’s a senior dog. But the updates and photos you sent made it clear that she was comfortable and happy, which means the world to me. I really appreciate how well you took care of her.”

“We were very happy with our choice to have Kayla and her husband take care of our dog for a few days. Kayla was flexible, great with communication while we were away and made Delmas was well taken care of. I highly recommend Kayla for anyone looking for a caring & trustworthy petsitter and would definitely choose to book with her again.”

“Ellen was great... She took great care of my 130 pound lab. Great communication. She keeps you updated with pictures and communication on how your pet is doing. Definitely use again.”

“We had a wonderful experience with Julissa!!! Our toy poodle puppy, Milo, was very well cared for during his 6-night stay. We received daily updates and photos, which gave us great peace of mind while we were away. Julissa went above and beyond by replacing the battery in Milo’s AirTag, making him comfortable while he was teething, and helping keep him cool on a hot sunny day. Communication was excellent, and it was clear Milo was happy and well cared for. We would definitely book with Julissa again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and reliable Rover sitter!!! :)”

“I have been leaving my dog, Leo, with Helene since 2019 and recommend her 100% to anyone who needs an honest, caring, and kind person to take care of their sweet pups! Leo has seizures and joint issues which both require medication, and Helene has always been attentive to his needs. About two years ago, we got another puppy who was rescued from a hoarding situation and was extremely scared of the world. Helene has such patience with him and really helped socialize him with other people and dogs. I can't say enough good things about my experience with her and Nutmeg :)”

“Reakha and her daughter were WONDERFUL dog sitters! VERY quick response to my last minute request. A BEAUTIFUL, comfortable home and yard with a high fence. They have 2 very FRIENDLY dogs that ours enjoyed being around. We got multiple pics of our pup looking very HAPPY and relaxed. I care about my dog so much and I felt completely at ease and confident with them. Would HIGHLY recommend for dog sitter services in the Orlando area. Worth the commute no matter where you’re at!”

“Breatice took care of our Chanel for 3 nights, and we couldn't be happier with the experience. She was incredibly attentive and made sure Chanel felt right at home. Beatrice understanding of Portuguese made communication so much easier for us, and it was a huge plus. I highly recommend her, especially for Brazilian pet parents. Thank you Beatrice.”

“Mango loves going to see Rennan. Her tail starts wagging before we even get out of the car. She knows it’s playtime with her friends. Rennan is our go to dog sitter. Mango is happy. And I get peace of mind because she is given the best of care. Thanks Rennan.”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
