“Katie is a very caring person taking it very seriously in regards of our dog's age (13.5), her allergies and preferences. She was always quick to respond, sent our dog's pictures and videos, and daily progress reports. She'd always accommodate our dog in case of stress or discomfort. We were very happy with Katie's service and are planning to book her again in the future. Would highly recommend this service.”

“She was absolutely amazing. Sent pictures and stayed in communication. She was able to meet all of my pups needs and did a fantastic job. Thank you so much!!!!! She will be ask to sit again for sure :)”

About: Hi! My name is Alyssa. I am a lifelong dog owner and former dog foster parent. I have experience caring for dogs of all natures - senior dogs, reactive dogs, and administering medications. I know the anxiety that comes with leaving your fur baby. Leave that worry at the door when your pet stays in my home! I will love and care for you let as if they are our own! My work allows me to be home all day, allowing me to provide personalized care and attention, never miss medication doses, and plenty of cuddles! My husband also works remotely two days a week. Although he will not be responsible for care, he shares my love and compassion for dogs and will love your pet like his own too! We own a 5 year old, 80lb Catahoula Leopard Dog Mix named Duke. He is neutered, well-trained (he talks with buttons!), very socialized, and adapts well to visiting dogs. He will lie down when playing with smaller dogs and respects boundaries when playtime is over. My home is currently child-free, creating a quiet environment with a perfectly sized, fenced in backyard. My home and yard provide a variety of enrichment and separate spaces for dogs who prefer their own area. I look forward to welcoming and caring for your pet in our home! I am incredibly grateful to be able to be fully remote 7 days a week. My husband works remotely two days a week, in office 3 days. My dog and I love spending time outdoors, either playing out in the yard or relaxing in our screened in porch! When my husband gets home from work we like to take family walks around our quiet, safe community. I provide a safe, calm, and structured environment where every dog can feel comfortable and secure. My home is child-free with minimal clutter for dogs to get into. We have a full fenced backyard with no neighboring dogs, for supervised outdoor playtime. I am home throughout the day, allowing me to closely monitor pets, maintain routines to elevate stress, administer medication, and provide plenty of attention, exercise, and love. We have crate trained my dog and can give him crate time to provide separate spaces and help all dogs feel comfortable. My dog may be big but he is incredibly intelligent and empathetic. He has been noted to comfort and welcome new dogs at his day care. He is impressive with understanding boundaries and can either give your dog space or be your dog’s new BFF (best furry friend!)! I

“Roseli provided VIP treatment to Tobi. He loved it so much, that he was mopping, when he got home. He was missing Roseli & his fur friends. Her place is like a puppy playground. Her personality is loving & contagious. I looooved that she had other puppies Tobi's size. She provided videos an updates, throughout Tobi's stay. Loved her services. Yes!! I would recommend her!!”

You guys were awesome from the day we contacted you, you were always available for us and keep us updated about Brownie the whole time, we know how comfortable he felt the whole time with you. We loved how attentive, caring, reliable and loving you were throughout this weekend! We really appreciate it. “This was the first time my babies have been with a stranger in their whole lives, and Vanessa kept me updated with photos and was very responsive through texts. I appreciated her last minute availability and will definitely use her again if needing a sitter! My girlies seemed to have really enjoyed themselves!”

“Breatice took care of our Chanel for 3 nights, and we couldn't be happier with the experience. She was incredibly attentive and made sure Chanel felt right at home. Beatrice understanding of Portuguese made communication so much easier for us, and it was a huge plus. I highly recommend her, especially for Brazilian pet parents. Thank you Beatrice.”

About: What sets me apart is the depth of my animal care experience: I’ve been caring for animals since I was 10 years old, and it spans far beyond dogs and cats. I’m comfortable handling reptiles (lizards, snakes, turtles), rodents, and fish, so if you have a less-common pet, I’ve likely worked with something similar. On the dog and cat side, I have hands on experience with both ends of the spectrum: senior dogs with special needs (including managing medications, mobility issues, and extra-gentle care for sick or aging pets) and young puppies (housetraining routines, socialization, and the extra supervision they need). I treat every pet like my own and adjust my approach based on their specific needs, energy level, and health. I work part time Tuesday-Thursday so I am available on long weekends from Friday to Monday! I can do early morning visits through late night visits for those that work late nights! While visiting your home I will make sure to leave the pet in a clean and secure home. I will make sure they have the exercise requested and have had any food plus water as needed. I have a fenced in backyard and my 2 dogs are create trained if any separation is required for a pet in my home.

“Wonderful experience! Loved getting updates and pictures of my girls. I felt totally comfortable leaving them with jill and her family. They even came home with toys and treats!”

“Alberto was absolutely amazing with our dog. He sent videos, pictures and updates every day, and responded immediately each time we reached out. I actually think our dog was sad to leave him! I'd recommend Alberto to anyone looking for a safe, caring place for their pet!”

Chella is definitely going to be my new go to for my boys! I’m always anxious finding a sitter for my large dog because he can be a handful but Chella was wonderful and so reassuring. She kept me updated on how they were doing and in every picture she sent my boys looked right at home.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
