“My dog loves her visits with Sarah and her family and they do an amazing job making her feel welcome and taking care of her. I recommend Sarah to anybody looking to watch their dog while they’re gone.”

“Wilfredo was extremely professional and provided our Senior Dog excellent care. From the first meeting “Get to know each other” to the actual dog sitting time Wilfredo gave us the best assurance we were leaving Dory in the best hands. Even when I had a returning flight delay, he worked with me to meet up later on with no issues. Thank you Wilfredo! We 100% look forward to the next time.”

“Jordi and Jewels are always happy to arrive to Jeralins and sad to go. We get updates whenever we ask. She always makes any concerns known (such as their eating). Jewels has severe anxiety and Jeralin is the only sitter she has done well with.”

“My dog is very attached, I work from home and he has separation anxiety. He very much needs to be a part of the family. It's always nerve wracking for me to leave him. We went away for a week and things seemed to go great with Polina however I ended up needing a sitter again a few days later and I felt so bad leaving him again so soon. When I dropped him off for the 2nd time a few days later I got all the confirmation I needed. My pup ran to Polina and jumped right up on her giving kisses and walked right into her house a minute later without even looking back. This will be his new home away from home when we travel 2/3 times a year.”

About: Hi! My name is Alyssa. I am a lifelong dog owner and former dog foster parent. I have experience caring for dogs of all natures - senior dogs, reactive dogs, and administering medications. I know the anxiety that comes with leaving your fur baby. Leave that worry at the door when your pet stays in my home! I will love and care for you let as if they are our own! My work allows me to be home all day, allowing me to provide personalized care and attention, never miss medication doses, and plenty of cuddles! My husband also works remotely two days a week. Although he will not be responsible for care, he shares my love and compassion for dogs and will love your pet like his own too! We own a 5 year old, 80lb Catahoula Leopard Dog Mix named Duke. He is neutered, well-trained (he talks with buttons!), very socialized, and adapts well to visiting dogs. He will lie down when playing with smaller dogs and respects boundaries when playtime is over. My home is currently child-free, creating a quiet environment with a perfectly sized, fenced in backyard. My home and yard provide a variety of enrichment and separate spaces for dogs who prefer their own area. I look forward to welcoming and caring for your pet in our home! I am incredibly grateful to be able to be fully remote 7 days a week. My husband works remotely two days a week, in office 3 days. My dog and I love spending time outdoors, either playing out in the yard or relaxing in our screened in porch! When my husband gets home from work we like to take family walks around our quiet, safe community. I provide a safe, calm, and structured environment where every dog can feel comfortable and secure. My home is child-free with minimal clutter for dogs to get into. We have a full fenced backyard with no neighboring dogs, for supervised outdoor playtime. I am home throughout the day, allowing me to closely monitor pets, maintain routines to elevate stress, administer medication, and provide plenty of attention, exercise, and love. We have crate trained my dog and can give him crate time to provide separate spaces and help all dogs feel comfortable. My dog may be big but he is incredibly intelligent and empathetic. He has been noted to comfort and welcome new dogs at his day care. He is impressive with understanding boundaries and can either give your dog space or be your dog’s new BFF (best furry friend!)! I
“From dropping our Koda off to picking her up was a very pleasant experience. House very clean, her fur babies and family were very welcoming to her stay. Koda came back with a giant smile on her face!!! Very communicative and shared the best pictures. Koda didn’t come home with any new bad behaviors traits lol. We will be 100% rebooking with her again soon.”

“Rebecca took such amazing care of my little dog and treated him like her own. She sent lots of pictures and an update every day and he looked so happy! I was at ease being away from him knowing he was in such incredible care ☺️”

“I want to give you 5 stars Karrie. I want to thank you for all the care, spoiled, love and all the attention to my babies as if they were yours. Keep sending me pictures and videos every day. You made my mini vacation go smoothly and safely with my babies. I recommend you 100% and if I need a babysitter again it would be you. Thank you for everything, take care and continue your good work.”

“Jay is awesome. He treats my Apollo like he's his own. We use Jay all the time. We know he's safe and happy when he's with Jay. It like an extended play date when he is boarded.”

“Jared was really great! I I needed a sitter last minute and luckily he was able to watch my two boys. He was a great communicator and sent me daily pictures of my boys!! I loved that his dogs liked to play with my dogs! I would highly recommend Jared and I will definitely use him again !!”

“Ashley was great with Macy! She had no problem with giving Macy time to warm up to her dog, sent updates and pictures, and made me feel 100% comfortable leaving my girl with her. I would/will use her again in the future if the opportunity arises.”

“Hello. Sheena and her family were wonderful and her communication was great. She sent many pictures and updates. I really appreciated how she kept me updated. I really felt extremely comfortable with my dog being there. Thank you so much Sheena, I will definitely be using you again and would highly recommend you to anyone looking for a great dog sitter.”

“John was absolutely amazing with our dogs, Bleu and Simon! Bleu is our 80 lbs, 6 year old rescue mix and Simon is our energetic 1 year old Italian Greyhound, and John was incredibly patient, attentive, and loving with both of them. One of the things we appreciated most was how welcoming his entire family was. His three kids were so sweet with our dogs, and it was obvious that Bleu and Simon had an incredible time playing with them. It truly felt like they were part of the family instead of just being boarded. Throughout the weekend, John kept us updated with messages and photos, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. It was clear that our pups were getting plenty of attention, exercise, affection, and love. We couldn’t have asked for a better Rover sitter. If you’re looking for someone who will genuinely care for your pets like they’re his own, John is the one. We will absolutely be booking with him again the next time we need someone to watch Bleu and Simon. Thank you, John, for taking such great care of our babies!”

“Tina was fabulous! She attended to Sadie and made sure she felt safe. Took her on walks. Sadie seemed to adjust and it worked out perfectly! So glad I found Tina to be with our girl, Sadie! Thank you so much!”

“Roseli was professional and caring, I was confident my dog would be taken care of with lots of attention while I was away. Roseli sent LOTS of photos and videos during the stay. Will definitely book again.”

“Kymry is the best! Our Sushi has visited her a number of times now, and it's always perfect. She really cares for her guests – that's obvious. But she also runs her Rover business like a business. She is always incredibly responsive, sends updates, and reassure us about how our little guy is doing. We are so happy we found her!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Minneola
First time using Rover with our corgi. Steven was great, his place was clean (very important to us), and he was super responsive and gave us updates whenever we asked. Our corgi seemed to love his time, enjoyed playing with the other dogs and cuddling up when he wanted.

We couldn’t be happier with the care Lady received! From the moment I dropped her off, I felt completely comfortable knowing she was in such good hands. It gave us so much peace of mind while we were away, and it was clear that Lady was well cared for and loved. We truly appreciate everything Elizabeth and Logan did to make her stay such a great experience. We’ll definitely be booking with them again and can’t wait for Lady’s next stay! 🐕 🐾

We had such a great experience with Lindsey watching our dog, Grizzly! I really appreciated how organized and thoughtful she was from the beginning. She set up a meet and greet beforehand, which made me feel much more comfortable, and her home was beautiful and clearly a great environment for dogs. Her dogs were also incredibly sweet and welcoming! Communication was also great. Whenever I reached out to check on Grizzly, she responded very quickly and was always happy to let me know how he was doing. I’ve tried several other dog sitters in the area, and she has definitely been the best experience we’ve had. We will absolutely be using her again in the future!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
