“Thank you so much for taking such wonderful care of my baby. Leaving her with someone new is always a bit nerve-wracking, especially since she’s a senior dog. But the updates and photos you sent made it clear that she was comfortable and happy, which means the world to me. I really appreciate how well you took care of her.”

“Margarita was just the person we were looking for to care for our older, small dog. She was loving and attentive to him, and sent photos throughout his stay. “Debra and Wendy took such a good care of Crystal! I am so grateful that I am sure I will leave Crystal with them every time that we need care for her. They sent me pictures of Crystal every day. I felt so happy! Thank you again! 5 ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️”

“Our biggest worry for when we travel is who to leave our Luna with. Luna is a little nervous and timid with other dogs, and by putting her in dog hotels she would be scared for a few days. We decided that putting Luna in big dog hotels was not the way to go, and maybe finding independent people who cares for smaller groups is the best option. Luz is the first person we booked for Luna. Luz is very nice and accommodating. She is very understanding for Lunas needs. When Luna returned home she was chill and happy! I really like how Luz gave us frequent update photos.”

“Rebecca was awesome. She sent us daily pictures and updates which was so wonderful. Zoe looked so happy in those pictures. I would recommend her 110% to anybody that is on the fence about dog boarding. Give Rebecca a try. You won’t be disappointed because Rebecca was awesome!!!!”

“Here’s a polished draft of your Rover review: ⸻ Sarah was wonderful with Millie! She watched her for 3 nights and made the whole experience easy and stress-free. Sarah is very friendly and welcoming, and Millie had a great time during her stay. We really appreciated the daily updates and photos—her consistent communication gave us peace of mind while we were away. We’d definitely recommend Sarah and look forward to her caring for Millie again.”

“Alexander is absolutely wonderful!! While on our trip away, he sent daily updates about our dog, Lykin, and sent lots of pictures. He made us feel at ease and very comfortable, and his passion for working with dogs really shows. We are so happy we decided to have Alexander watch Lykin. We definitely recommend him to watch any dog, and we look forward to having Lykin stay with him again! ☺️?”

“Hailey took amazing care of my special needs little Bruno during his stay with her. From the moment we met her, it was obvious she truly loves animals and treats them like family — and she treated Bruno like one of her own dogs. She kept us updated every few hours with messages and pictures, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. Bruno can be very attached and sensitive, so seeing how comfortable and happy he was meant everything to me :)”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
