“Ashley was amazing with our pups!! One of our dogs is very shy and Ashley was extremely patient, friendly and kind with him, which made us feel very happy and comfortable during our quick trip. Highly suggest & will use again!”

“James was wonderful with my birds! He was reliable and clearly cared about making sure they were well taken care of while I was away. He also watered my plants which was such a thoughtful extra. I came home knowing everything had been taken care of, and I really appreciated his help. I would definitely recommend James and would be happy to have him watch my birds again! 🐤🐤”

“Prompt, professional, friendly, caring, knowledgeable and a nice person. We were fortunate to find Margarita using Rover.com; specifically searching for a sitter with first aid and immunization experience. Our boy, Max the Cat has diabetes and requires injections twice a day. During our meet and greet with Margarita she arrived at our home dress in business attire, and a note pad. After our meeting with her, we knew we found the right person to care for Max. Margarita arrived each day (twice a day) on time and provided care and insulin injections in a caring and professional manner. Max walks right up to her, and instantly bonded. It’s so comforting knowing there are dedicated people like Margarita who choose pet care as a profession. We plan on having her care for Max in the future. We highly recommend her services.”
“Super duper sweet and friendly! Provided great updates on my animals and cute pictures! So glad I could find someone to trust with my babies while I’m out of town”

“Kayla came through for me at the last minute. Tax season is summing up and breeder could not delay delivery and good thing I got him when I did because the rest were gone in a week so got him earlier than I wanted and needed help, so I reached out late at night on Rover.com and Kayla responded. I have used Rover in the past so I was familiar with them but I am so grateful for Kayla and Kou Kaz loved her on first meeting her. Kayla has a very sweet spirit. Perfect spirit for a 10 week old pup with a lot of energy.”

“Alexandria was great with my dogs. She came the night before we were scheduled to leave for the weekend to meet the dogs, and was extremely accommodating with such short notice. One of my dogs, who is incredibly skittish around humans he doesn't know, came to like here which is very uncommon for him. She took care of the accidents that the dogs had in the house due to a slightly altered schedule of someone being with them 24/7 vs having three drop-in visits a day. She was also extremely fast with initial responses. All in all my dogs loved being at home with Alexandria dropping in vs them staying the entire weekend at a boarding facility. I would highly recommend Alexandria to anyone looking for someone to take care of their doggos in any way while they're gone.”

“Wonderful experience w Lilly watching our kitties while we were away. Our one skittish cat came out each day and was very friendly with her!!! She brought packages in the house too:) Excellent communication, punctual and sent pics each day🐱 Lilly made going away so easy with peace of mind knowing they were cared or so well‼️”

About: I am currently a volunteer at the local animal shelter called The Animal League. I clean, walk, and play with dogs of all ages and sizes. I work for free at the shelter because of love being able to help dogs in my community. Most of the money from here will be given back as a donation to the shelter! Some will be used for my gas to get your buddy! I work as a medical assistant from 8-5:30 Monday to Thursday. On Fridays I’m off at 12:0. I go to the animal shelter for about 2 hours in the afternoons after work but I between this I can come walk your dog! I don’t have any pets currently I’ve only owned small pets myself. However my experience comes from the animal shelter. I’ve learned how to gain the trust of anxious dogs. How to walk sicker dogs with heart worms. And how to do basic training with puppies including socialization, desensitization (important if they may be around kids), how to walk on a leash, basic tricks.

“Katie was a pleasure to meet and attend to my dog's needs. She is extremely reliable and flexible, which I appreciated especially during the holiday season. She sent the cutest pics of my pup and showed her the love she needed while I was away. If I were still living in Orlando, I would book her again and again! Thanks, Katie :)”

“Karrie was absolutely amazing with our dogs, Frank and Rocco! They loved her right away, which gave us so much peace of mind. She was caring, reliable, and clearly great with animals. We came home to two very happy pups and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy dog sitter!”

“Bethany and Jeff took care of my dog, bunny and cockatiel for more than 20 days when we left for summer vacation. Always showing love with the pets, providing photos and what they did every drop in visit. I recommend a lot of times to all Rovers.”

“Idalis was great! She was punctual, great with communication, and took great care of our dog. I highly recommend her and will definitely book her for services in the future.”

“I couldn’t have asked for a better person to care for Ollie while I was away on vacation. Knowing he was in such loving and attentive hands gave me complete peace of mind. I came home to a happy, well-cared-for pup, and it was clear he received plenty of attention and affection. I highly recommend Alli to anyone looking for someone trustworthy and genuinely caring to look after their furry family member!”

“Tracy did an excellent job caring for my achnauzers. She was attentive, responsible, and went above and beyond by keeping the crate area clean and organized after every visit. I truly appreciated her professionalism, communication, and the care she showed to my pets and my home. I would absolutely recommend Tracy to anyone looking for a reliable and thoughtful pet sitter.”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs my whole life! Since I was a kid, I’ve had real responsibilities caring for my four dogs. I also help neighbors with pet care while they were away, from feeding to walking. Last summer, I worked at pet paradise as a playtime coordinator. In this role I supervised play groups, read body language, and made sure every pet was safe and having fun. I’m a recent graduate from UF and my schedule is very flexible right now. I’m dedicating time to study for the LSAT, but that gives me a consistent routine at home, which makes me a reliable option for regular walks, drop ins, or longer sits. Your pets safety is my top priority, and I’ve take multiple online courses on this for my previous pet care job. I stay alert and know how to stop signs of discomfort or stress. I always follow specific care instructions from the parents. If anything unexpected comes up, I communicate right away, I treat every pet as if they’re my own!
About: Helping my mom foster dogs made my love for dogs grow even more. Any kind no matter how big or small will always receive love! I currently only work 4 days out of the week, but am in a transition of changing jobs leaving me with more time for sitting. I have a fenced big yard with 3 other super friendly pups. Daily walks, potty every 2-3 hours, and fed when needed is their lifestyle.

Olivia was wonderful with our two cats! She was reliable, caring, and excellent with communication. She made sure they had plenty of food and fresh water and that their litter box stayed clean. Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
