“We are new to the area and were feeling anxious about finding a pet sitter that would be kind and loving to our babies. We could not be happier that we found Jaclyn on Rover and gave her the chance. From our first time doing a meet & greet, she was genuine, honest, and explained everything she would take care of while we were out of town. Our 3 kitties loved her from the moment they met her. She did a wonderful job of sending us daily reports and photos of our babies. She checked in daily through the Rover app, always on time. One thing that stood out was how detail-oriented Jaclyn is and how she paid attention to a subtle difference in one of our cats. She reported that our 17 year old kitty was breathing differently and sent us a video. Sure enough, our girl had an upper respiratory infection and had to go to the hospital for care. We are so grateful we found Jaclyn. She is trustworthy and responsible. More importantly, she loved our babies and our babies loved her!”

I’ve spent my whole life around dogs and cats and caring for animals (and people) has always been a part of who I am. Whether your pet needs an energetic walking companion, gentle care, medication support, or simply someone they can trust while you’re away, I’ll treat them with the same attention and compassion that I give my own. I’m currently working with my family which allows me to have an extremely flexible and open schedule. Generally available from 8:30a.m-11p.m 7 days a week Long walks and backyard or park playtime. It’s obvious how much she cares about animals and will treat yours like her own. She even brought in my packages and took photos to share on every trip to my home. She happily checked in on the fishy and took the dogs for walks which is so appreciated!”

About: I have one dog that is turning 5 and have had her for over 4 years. I have taken care of other dogs in the family as well. I also have stayed over nights for extended family pets! I'm currently working part-time and in school Monday and Wednesday mornings. So I still have lots of time to spend with your pets! The safety and comfortability of your pet is my number one priority. So I will do my best to give them time to get used to me and prevent anxiety. I take my dog on several walks during the day when it isn't too hot (don't wanna burn any pet paws!) And I play with her all throughout the day. We practice tricks I've taught her and we snuggle up on the couch!

“Ana was nothing short of amazing! She stepped in at the last minute and went above and beyond to make sure Ollie was well cared for. She is an absolute gem! I will definitely be booking with her again in the near future!!!”

“Holly took very good care of my kitties and followed my care instructions perfectly. When we returned from an extended trip away, my kitties we happy and well cared for. I received photos of my kitties from Holly during her visits and she was easy to schedule and promptly returned my messages before and during her visits. I'm definitely booking her again! Thank you!!”

About: I am currently a volunteer at the local animal shelter called The Animal League. I clean, walk, and play with dogs of all ages and sizes. I work for free at the shelter because of love being able to help dogs in my community. Most of the money from here will be given back as a donation to the shelter! Some will be used for my gas to get your buddy! I work as a medical assistant from 8-5:30 Monday to Thursday. On Fridays I’m off at 12:0. I go to the animal shelter for about 2 hours in the afternoons after work but I between this I can come walk your dog! I don’t have any pets currently I’ve only owned small pets myself. However my experience comes from the animal shelter. I’ve learned how to gain the trust of anxious dogs. How to walk sicker dogs with heart worms. And how to do basic training with puppies including socialization, desensitization (important if they may be around kids), how to walk on a leash, basic tricks.
“Wes did a terrific job with our malti-poo, Rio. He sent pictures everyday and provided status. Wes definitely went above and beyond when we had a security system issue and we asked if he could provide assistance to our security system guy as we had a loud beeping noise, and it was clearly upsetting our dog. Wes was kind enough to come early for his visit and help. I will definitely book with Wes again!”
About: I've always cared for pets since I was little. I can train and treat animals just as my own. Love to take dogs for walks and can bathe them once a week. I'm currently working part-time and can spend time and walk your dogs more throughout the day and week. I love spending time with dogs and cats. I've always been an animal person. I play with my dog and she lays in the bed when I'm there and lays beside me. Give her treats, walk her outside to the bathroom, walk, feed her in the evening, love on her.

Margaux is so nice that we hired her twice!! My wife & I consider Margaux to be the most professional and trustworthy pet sitter we could possibly ask for! She is an active listener. Takes notes. Punctual as punctual can be! Our two cats are very shy around people they are not familiar with. With us present and in our absence, both of our cats will come out of hiding to see Margaux. This will tell you everything you need to know about what a kind and caring person Margaux is. Margaux provided us with updates on our two cats while she was still at our house. Both times we hired Margaux was for while my wife & I were away on cruises to other countries. If something went sideways with one of our cats, it's not as if we can hop on the next flight to come home. This is where my wife & I have placed all of our trust in Margaux. Without Margaux, our ability to travel for a week would not be possible. We are hopeful to secure Margaux services again in 2026.
Kyle was an amazing drop-in sitter for my pets while I was away. He went above and beyond to make sure everything was taken care of — he sent me pictures and detailed updates with every visit, which gave me so much peace of mind. When my automatic feeders stopped working, he let me know right away and made sure my pets still got fed without missing a beat. I really appreciated his clear communication, reliability, and genuine care for my pets’ well-being. Highly recommend Kyle to anyone looking for a responsible, attentive, and trustworthy sitter. I will definitely be booking with him again!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
