“Once again, Cooper and Ginger were very happy with David staying with them. He kept them safe, exercised and fed. We came home to nice Spa music on and the pets were nice and happy.”

“Kiara was by far the best dog/house sitter we have ever had stay in our home & take care of our fur baby. She was very attentive to our dog & communicated with us on a regular basis. She was extremely respectful of our home. Highly recommend!”

“This is my first time using Rover.Com and Karrie and the experience was awesome! Easy to find the best qualified sitter by the photos/reviews, easy payment and follow up. Karrie was perfect for my pups! We chatted beforehand about my expectations, gave her background on my Doxies who both had IVDD surgery this past year, their unique personalities and explore Karrie’s qualifications. Perfect match! She stayed with my 2 Doxies 8 hours in our hotel suite while we attended a football game. She arrived on time, followed my instructions and my pups were safe & happy upon our return. Would definitely use her and Rover.Com again!”

“First of all, I must say that Brenda and Dwain are great ambassadors for Dog setting. Prior to us going on vacation our dog Molly suffered two seizures in one day and we were about to go on vacation in a month and a half, having Brenda and Dwayne taking care of Molly and ensuring she got her medication while we were on a cruise in the Caribbean. There was a point during the vacation. Molly didn’t want to take her medication with the pill pockets. Dwayne and Brenda got some peanut butter and insured that Molly had her medication the entire time we were gone. I plan on using Dwayne and Brenda more often because of the care that they gave Molly, also they took pictures and gave us daily reports and how she was feeling while we were on the cruise. I would highly recommend if you have a pet that you love very much hire Brenda and Dwayne.. I want to thank both Brenda and Dwayne for taking care of our puppy. I highly recommend them. David & Denise. 🙏”

“This was a first time leaving our pups with a dog sitter. And Melanie was fantastic… attentive, kind and kept us updated on how the pups were doing, including pictures. I highly recommend Melanie for anyone looking to have someone watch over your fur babies.”
“Linda was incredible, we will definitely use her again in the future. She sent pictures of our dogs often. Tokk very good care of them and our house. We are extremely pleased with her. I'm glad we found her here in your app. Thank you so much!”

“Meghan was awesome! Our dogs loved her and her dog Raven!! Meghan was great at communication and sent us lots of pictures of our pups. We came home to a clean house and happy dogs :) Highly recommend!”

About: 4 years around dogs from big dog ranch & past work at puppy stores. I do watch my neighbors dogs as well. Frequent updates (with pictures) of your dog. Former police officer😁 Hi! I’m a reliable and caring dog sitter who genuinely loves spending time with animals. Whether it’s walks, playtime, or just keeping your pup company, I make sure every dog feels safe, comfortable, and well cared for while you’re away. I understand that every dog has their own personality and routine, so I take the time to follow your instructions closely from feeding schedules to favorite toys and habits. I’m patient, attentive, and always prioritize your dog’s well-being. You can count on regular updates, photos, and clear communication so you have peace of mind knowing your pet is in good hands. Whether it’s a quick drop-in or extended care, I treat every dog like they’re my own. Your dog’s safety always comes first. I carefully follow all instructions, keep a close eye on behavior, and make sure your pet is always secure whether we’re at home, on walks, or during playtime. I’m patient, observant, and quick to respond to any changes in your dog’s needs. I maintain a clean, stress-free environment and treat every dog with the same level of care and respect I would expect for my own. You’ll also receive regular updates and photos so you always feel connected and reassured while you’re away. My goal is simple: give you peace of mind and make sure your dog feels safe, comfortable, and genuinely cared for at all times.
“We just had Margarita watch our dog, Scout, for the second time and she did another fantastic job! She’s a great communicator, sent lots of pictures, left our home in great shape, and most importantly, Scout (who is usually super anxious) absolutely loves her. Highly recommend!”

About: Hi! I’m a former paramedic who is currently working helping my family run our small business. I’ve spent my whole life around dogs and cats and caring for animals (and people) has always been a part of who I am. I have experience with dogs of all ages, from newborn puppies to senior dogs, and I’m able to provide care tailored to each pet’s individual needs. I’m comfortable working with cats and dogs that may be shy, fearful, reactive, or considered less than friendly. I understand the importance of patience, reading body language, and creating a calm, safe environment so pets feel comfortable and secure. Whether your pet needs an energetic walking companion, gentle care, medication support, or simply someone they can trust while you’re away, I’ll treat them with the same attention and compassion that I give my own. I’m currently working with my family which allows me to have an extremely flexible and open schedule. Generally available from 8:30a.m-11p.m 7 days a week Long walks and backyard or park playtime. I am comfortable caring for pets with special medical and physical needs. I can provide basic grooming if needed for pets that will allow.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats most of my life, I own 2 dogs and 5 cats of my own! The rest of my family owns pets of all kinds, so I’ve grown up around all types of animals. I’ve spent a lot of time helping out friends and family when they need someone to watch their pets, I’m always a go to for them! I’m always willing to do whatever is needed of me when it comes to helping out with animals. I have experience with dogs and cats all the way from puppy to end of life moments. I’m currently unemployed, so my schedule is very flexible for all of your pet needs. I’m available most days of the week, weekends and nights. I am extremely careful when it comes to watching animals, I know that an animal is a precious member of any family and I will do all I can to keep your pets safe and happy while feeling loved. I never bring pets into my own home because I am very cautious about how my cats and dogs will react. When I enter other people's homes, I try to work with the owner first to make sure their pet is comfortable with me before leaving. I treat all pets as if they are my own, so rest assured that your pet will be just as spoiled as mine for the times I am with them! I follow ALL instructions given to me by pet parents, and check in anytime I have questions.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Astatula walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Astatula maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Astatula choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Astatula. On Rover:

- 94% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
