“Viviana and her husband have been absolutely amazing with my puppy. By day 3 he was running from my car to go have the best day with them. They’re great about keeping you updated with photos and videos to give you peace of mind while you’re at work.”

“Jen was a great dog-sitter! Our dog was excited to explore her home, which seemed very dog-friendly, and there was a great long road to take walks on. Jen sent us updates, pictures, and was overall an easy-going and conscientious person! She asked us how we wanted our dog to be treated, what rules we have at home, what he can and can't play with, etc. She seemed to be really confident around dogs, and our dog liked her immediately.”

“I cannot say enough how much I appreciate Carolina! BEST pet sitter EVER! She sent me countless videos and photos of my fur baby all day, and made sure she got plenty of exercise and fun with her dogs. I will not be bringing her to anyone other than Carolina ever again! So grateful. She even responded late at night to my last minute request to watch her. They need to add extra stars to this rating! I've never taken my dog to someone I don't know and I'm so lucky to have found Carolina!”

“We LOVE Nicole and her entire family! Bailey’s 2nd Florida home where she is loved and well cared for. Nicole provides a comfortable, relaxed, fun and stress free environment. Highly recommend!!”

“I don’t know how I could add to the reviews, except to say you can believe every great comment. Scout is a very energetic strong puppy. I can see with the photos and video that he had a blast today. I might have to wake him up for dinner. He’s sideways on the couch! Thanks Krista”

“⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Rebecca is an absolute gem! She takes such amazing care of my pups, Willow and Gizmo, and I always have peace of mind knowing they’re in her hands. She’s reliable, attentive, and clearly loves animals—plus, her dog Sophie is the perfect companion for my two! Whether it’s a long workday or an overnight stay, I know they’re getting all the love, attention, and care they need. I can’t recommend Rebecca enough to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring sitter. Thank you so much for everything you do!”

“Alexus was able to accommodate Sammy on short notice for a day stay. This was the first time I needed to leave him in awhile so it was the first time I met Alexus. I immediately liked her demeanor which is very calming. Her home is lovely and clean and she allows pets in home which is good especially in warmer humid weather. She took Sammy on several walks. I was very rushed that day, late dropping Sammy off and picking him up. I would like to spend more time with Alexus next time I book!”

“My dog had a great day with Alexandria. He was comfortable from the beginning and received the care and attention he needed. She did an awesome job caring for Lucky. Not to mention the picture updates throughout the day (my favorite part of his stay). Alexandria was consistent with keeping me posted during his stay and he was happy!”

About: Hi! My name is Alyssa. I am a lifelong dog owner and former dog foster parent. I have experience caring for dogs of all natures - senior dogs, reactive dogs, and administering medications. I know the anxiety that comes with leaving your fur baby. Leave that worry at the door when your pet stays in my home! I will love and care for you let as if they are our own! My work allows me to be home all day, allowing me to provide personalized care and attention, never miss medication doses, and plenty of cuddles! My husband also works remotely two days a week. Although he will not be responsible for care, he shares my love and compassion for dogs and will love your pet like his own too! We own a 5 year old, 80lb Catahoula Leopard Dog Mix named Duke. He is neutered, well-trained (he talks with buttons!), very socialized, and adapts well to visiting dogs. He will lie down when playing with smaller dogs and respects boundaries when playtime is over. My home is currently child-free, creating a quiet environment with a perfectly sized, fenced in backyard. My home and yard provide a variety of enrichment and separate spaces for dogs who prefer their own area. I look forward to welcoming and caring for your pet in our home! I am incredibly grateful to be able to be fully remote 7 days a week. My husband works remotely two days a week, in office 3 days. My dog and I love spending time outdoors, either playing out in the yard or relaxing in our screened in porch! When my husband gets home from work we like to take family walks around our quiet, safe community. I provide a safe, calm, and structured environment where every dog can feel comfortable and secure. My home is child-free with minimal clutter for dogs to get into. We have a full fenced backyard with no neighboring dogs, for supervised outdoor playtime. I am home throughout the day, allowing me to closely monitor pets, maintain routines to elevate stress, administer medication, and provide plenty of attention, exercise, and love. We have crate trained my dog and can give him crate time to provide separate spaces and help all dogs feel comfortable. My dog may be big but he is incredibly intelligent and empathetic. He has been noted to comfort and welcome new dogs at his day care. He is impressive with understanding boundaries and can either give your dog space or be your dog’s new BFF (best furry friend!)! I
“My rescued doxie, Buzzi, loves staying with Judi. When we get to her home, Judi opens the door and Buzzi waltzes in like it's her house. I'm pleased that my separation anxiety, stressed, little girl feels so at ease with Judi. I highly recommend Judi, and Rover.”

About: I've had animals all my life. Dogs, cats, bunnies and guinea pigs! I have always been an animal lover! Currently my husband and I have 2 toy poodles-Teddy and Tucker-both turning 10 this year (2025). I was a stay at home mom to my two children, my son who almost 20-he's off at college and my daughter who is 28 and married. So now I'm officially a stay at home dog mom to Teddy and Tucker. We own our home, we have a fenced in yard and our two sweet pups would love to play with your little one. I'm a non smoker, almost never drink and taking care of the pups is what I love to do.

“Helene was great with our dog, Annie. We are nervous leaving her with new people, but when we met Helene she put us at ease and asked plenty of questions to get to know Annie and her quirks. She also sent photos during the stay to keep us updated. Definitely would recommend!”

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
