We live on 5 acres in Howey and have two dogs and one senior potbelly pig. Rover is a full time job for me, pet care has been my primary job for 15 years. When house sitting, I do generally need to go home twice a day for a couple hours to keep things at home running smoothly and to take other walk and drop in appointments. If your pets cannot be left alone for 4 hours, constant care can be arranged in advance for an additional fee. Constant care, means I stay with your pet full time, do not leave once I arrive, and am caring for your pet exclusively.

A typical day
For boarding and daycare clients: We live on 5 fenced acres at the dead end of a dirt road, it is very quiet in terms of traffic, neighbors, and life as a whole. There is lots of room to run and play and we have smaller fenced yards outside the front door and back door. This way, dogs do not have unchecked access to full 5 acres when going out to potty, this is for safety. They absolutely will get to run and play on all 5 fenced acres multiple times a day, but only under close supervision.

January 2026 update - I am now also accepting boarding requests for dogs up to 40 pounds. I will only be hosting one family at a time. After graduating from UCF in 2011, I worked as a manager and service provider for Citizen Hound, a top rated dog walking and pet sitting company in CA. I moved to northern California in late 2015 and provided doggie daycare and boarding while I completed a masters degree in business administration. I relocated back to central Florida in 2022 and am happy to offer my house sitting, drop-in, walking, and boarding services here. Aside from k9 care, I have equine and farm animal experience. I am happy to discuss any farm animal care you may need as well. I'm accustomed to handling and caring for pets of all shapes, sizes, and ages, lots of experience with seniors and special needs.

Margaux is an absolute blessing. She is so professional and reliable, we kept her on for months after her initial assignment (relieving my husband after hip surgery), because we just liked having her come. Her sunny disposition and kind heart make her an amazing joy to have. Our dog just loved her!!! He would wait by the window on the days she came and squeal with happiness at the sight of her. We will definitely use her again and again for all of our pet needs!!
Margaux is so nice that we hired her twice!! My wife & I consider Margaux to be the most professional and trustworthy pet sitter we could possibly ask for! She is an active listener. Takes notes. Punctual as punctual can be! Our two cats are very shy around people they are not familiar with. With us present and in our absence, both of our cats will come out of hiding to see Margaux. This will tell you everything you need to know about what a kind and caring person Margaux is. Margaux provided us with updates on our two cats while she was still at our house. Both times we hired Margaux was for while my wife & I were away on cruises to other countries. If something went sideways with one of our cats, it's not as if we can hop on the next flight to come home. This is where my wife & I have placed all of our trust in Margaux. Without Margaux, our ability to travel for a week would not be possible. We are hopeful to secure Margaux services again in 2026.

This is the second time we used Marquax, both times she stayed at our house for a week at a time and took care of our dog and cat. First thing that comes to mind is TRUSTWORTHY!!!! Never worry about anything in the house and the care she provides is absolutely the BEST!
