About: I have grown up and been around dogs my entire life. Before my kids were born my dogs were my kids and I treat them as family members. My dogs would sleep in my bed and I would take them everywhere I possibly could because they were my best friend. I feel that all dogs love their owners unconditionally as long as you treat them appropriately. A concept that was brought to my attention a long time ago regarding dogs is that they might not be the most exciting part of our day, but we are the most exciting part of theirs and they look forward to seeing us every day. I wake up every day appreciating that fact and my dogs have always return the favor I work close to home and I’m off on weekends. I have a lot of flexibility from my regular job to facilitate any pet need. I’ve always treated any of my pets like my children. They get a lot of attention, exercise, and play time. Pets that I have watched over for friends and family get sad when they leave my house because they have had such a good time.
About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats since I was 8 years old. My family and friends have always relied on me to feed or take care of their pets when they are away traveling. I have previous experience working as a volunteer tech vet. I have a full time job M-F 7am-4pm. In the afternoons I am available to walk dogs. Weekends are more flexible. We can go over a schedule that would best accommodate your pet individually. I live in a small apartment, it has accesible green areas and a dog park near by. No dogs or cats living with me at the moment. I’m very responsible and will take any measure necessary to make the owner feel safe with their decision.
“Thank for the great care of puppers. It was interesting being on this side. I care for animals as well and it felt good knowing someone is just as passionate and caring. Highly recommend .”

“Jennifer was such a blessing!!! My Labrador can be a bit much at times!!!!! She sent so many pictures and videos. When I got home my dog was in good spirits! Actually, he watched down the driveway for a couple days after we got home, hoping for Jennifer's return. Thank you so much for everything!!! Till next time!”

“Carrie is amazing. She took care of our old English sheepdog with so much love and attention. Her communication was constant and she followed our instructions for caring for our dog perfectly. Definitely recommend!”

About: I've taken care of multiple neighbors pets as well as friend's and family's pets for years. Love taking them out for walks and making them wag their tails! I’m currently a graduate student in PA school and am about to start my clinical rotations! Because my schedule varies from rotation to rotation, my availability may change throughout the year. Some rotations allow me to be home much more frequently than others. Before accepting any house-sitting request, I’ll always discuss my schedule with you to ensure it matches your pet’s potty break, exercise, and companionship needs. I only accept bookings when I know I can provide the level of care your pet deserves. I tailor my care to each pet’s individual routine and needs. In my home or a client’s home, I make sure pets receive plenty of attention, exercise, fresh food and water, potty breaks, and lots of love. I carefully follow any feeding schedules, medication instructions, and house rules. Our old baby was blind and diabetic so I know how important a consistent schedule can be. I love providing regular updates with photos as well so you know how loved your fur baby is :)

“Kayla came through for me at the last minute. Tax season is summing up and breeder could not delay delivery and good thing I got him when I did because the rest were gone in a week so got him earlier than I wanted and needed help, so I reached out late at night on Rover.com and Kayla responded. I have used Rover in the past so I was familiar with them but I am so grateful for Kayla and Kou Kaz loved her on first meeting her. Kayla has a very sweet spirit. Perfect spirit for a 10 week old pup with a lot of energy.”

About: Other than having two pups of my own, I’ve cared for friends and family pets with joy. I love giving attention to pets by taking the on walks, throwing the ball, or even just petting them on the couch. Currently on summer break from college, so I have plenty of availability for your pets. Mornings to evenings 10am-8pm is my ideal availability 7 days of the week. Clients will find that I am very respectful in their homes as I will leave them better than I found it, with happy and cared for pets.

“Linda was exceptional as always. I’ve used her for dog/house sitting in the past, but this was my first time having her do dog walking. She let my dog out to potty, stayed outside with her, and even fed her—totally didn’t need to be reminded. I can’t recommend her enough for any pet care needs.”

“Mariah was great! We have a pit bull that needs special care and attention, she’s was able to handle all of the request properly. Gave our dog all of the love and attention she needed while we were gone on vacation. It was a stress free experience. We will definitely use her again.”

About: I have one dog that is turning 5 and have had her for over 4 years. I have taken care of other dogs in the family as well. I also have stayed over nights for extended family pets! I'm currently working part-time and in school Monday and Wednesday mornings. So I still have lots of time to spend with your pets! The safety and comfortability of your pet is my number one priority. So I will do my best to give them time to get used to me and prevent anxiety. I take my dog on several walks during the day when it isn't too hot (don't wanna burn any pet paws!) And I play with her all throughout the day. We practice tricks I've taught her and we snuggle up on the couch!
About: I have over 15 years of experience caring for dogs of all ages, including puppies and seniors, as well as northern breeds like Siberian Huskies, Alaskan Malamutes, and wolf-dog hybrids. I'm highly observant of behavior and body language, recognize early signs that something may be wrong, and provide attentive, individualized care. I'm also comfortable administering medications and following specific care instructions to help keep pets healthy, safe, and comfortable.. I work remotely with a flexible schedule, so I'm able to plan my day around a pet's needs. Whether that's potty breaks, walks, playtime, medication, or keeping a consistent routine, I have the flexibility to provide reliable care. I enjoy staying active and am happy to accommodate each pet's energy level, from walks and jogging to playtime, enrichment, or simply relaxing and keeping them company. Every pet is different, and I'm happy to adapt to what makes them happiest and most comfortable. I review all care instructions with the owner before they leave to ensure I understand their pet's routine and needs. I make sure doors, gates, and fences are secure, follow all safety instructions, and stay attentive to the pet's behavior and surroundings. My priority is keeping both the pet and the home safe while they're in my care.
About: I treat every pet as if they were part of my family. I understand that every animal has unique needs, from energetic puppies to senior pets who require extra patience and specialized care. I have experience caring for elderly pets, including administering medications and following detailed care routines to keep them comfortable, healthy, and happy. Whether your pet needs playtime, cuddles, or a little extra attention, you can trust they'll receive compassionate, dependable care in a safe and loving environment. I offer pet care seven days a week and maintain a fairly flexible schedule to meet your needs. I spend my daytime hours caring for my young child and studying at home, which allows for plenty of attention and companionship. I have a very large fenced in yard that's perfect for getting those zoomies out! I do also have one other dog (a border collie named Nori). She is very friendly and would love to play with your fur baby during the day. We have plenty of toys to go around from frisbees, to tug-of-war, to balls, to squeakers, to chew toys. We don't really restrict off-furniture rules, so unless you want me to, your fur baby will be free to chill on the couch or our bed as if they were at home. I do ask that you do not bring your dog's toys. If you would like, you can bring a bed with you.

About: I am a dog mom all the way. I always had a family dog growing up, for 16 years, and now I have one of my own. Espresso is my 70 pound American Bully, the sweetest bulldozer. He is my whole world and I take him to training biweekly, so I have become well acquainted with dog care, responsibility, and love. Although I have one hand, I am extremely capable of caring for animals. I love to take my own dog on long walks, so I would love to do the same for others babies as well! Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
