“Caroline took my last minute request and was very communicative. I truly appreciate her disponibility but above all the great job she did with both of my babies. Thank you Caroline!”

“We had a great drop-in experience with Kayla! She is extremely responsive, we appreciated the timely and thorough communication. She easily managed our 3 dogs, big, small and a foster pup. She was patient with our shy little lady and seemed to gain their trust quickly. We will be booking again!”

“Mariah was great! We have a pit bull that needs special care and attention, she’s was able to handle all of the request properly. Gave our dog all of the love and attention she needed while we were gone on vacation. It was a stress free experience. We will definitely use her again.”

About: I have over 15 years of experience caring for dogs of all ages, including puppies and seniors, as well as northern breeds like Siberian Huskies, Alaskan Malamutes, and wolf-dog hybrids. I'm highly observant of behavior and body language, recognize early signs that something may be wrong, and provide attentive, individualized care. I'm also comfortable administering medications and following specific care instructions to help keep pets healthy, safe, and comfortable.. I work remotely with a flexible schedule, so I'm able to plan my day around a pet's needs. Whether that's potty breaks, walks, playtime, medication, or keeping a consistent routine, I have the flexibility to provide reliable care. I enjoy staying active and am happy to accommodate each pet's energy level, from walks and jogging to playtime, enrichment, or simply relaxing and keeping them company. Every pet is different, and I'm happy to adapt to what makes them happiest and most comfortable. I review all care instructions with the owner before they leave to ensure I understand their pet's routine and needs. I make sure doors, gates, and fences are secure, follow all safety instructions, and stay attentive to the pet's behavior and surroundings. My priority is keeping both the pet and the home safe while they're in my care.
“Ava was so helpful to me while I was away! She took amazing care of my kitty boy! I gone for almost a week and she sent me so many pictures which reassured me that my boy was well taken care of and was happy😊 the next time I go on vacation, Ava would be my first choice to book!”

“Haley took great care of our dog stopping in on two occasions while we were away for the day. Our dog is older and bit grumpy and she had the magic touch to get him to go outside after just one meet and great a few days beforhand. We will definitely use her again!”

About: I’ve been taking care of animals since I was little, friends and family rely on me to pet sit for their babies all the time! I have a dog and cat at home so I know how to handle both cuties! I’d love to get to know more animals and help out with your animal needs :)) I only have one class that's in the mornings (8-10AM) and I'm free for the whole day after that on Mondays and Wednesday! Thursdays I work during 5-11pm so I can do morning walks, Saturdays I work morning so I’ll be able to do evening walks! Tuesdays and Sundays are free all day! I can accommodate to any environment, if your dog would like to go out into the backyard that will happen, if they want to sit around and be lazy, that can also happen! In your home I will only be where your dog and will only touch things that are needed for your pet.
“Orly did such an amazing job watching over our cats during the Thanksgiving holiday! We felt very comfortable with her stopping in and looking over them. Very accommodating and sweet. Will definitely be a repeat customer for our next getaway!”
“Natasha was a babysitter for Tofu, my 2-year-old Shiba Inu dog, for 4 days. Tofu is a pretty shy and house guarded dog, and within just three visits she was able to break through to him and even give him belly rubs. I was very impressed with her thorough communication, photos, and even videos. I will be looking to have Natasha look after my dog anytime I am out of town. The fact that she became such great friends with Tofu is a testimony of how much of an animal whisperer she is.”

“Christina was amazing! She met with me prior to drop in to make sure she was a good fit for our fur baby. Super sweet and our dog loved her! Also, her communication is great. During the visit, she asked if I had any questions about her and her experience which no walker has done before. 10/10 recommend!”

“Sharyn was a pleasure to work with. She was punctual, reliable, and thoughtful in her care and communication. She did more than was required to ensure my pets had the best experience possible. I will, without hesitation, reach out to her for my future pet-sitting needs.”

About: I am a dog mom all the way. I always had a family dog growing up, for 16 years, and now I have one of my own. Espresso is my 70 pound American Bully, the sweetest bulldozer. He is my whole world and I take him to training biweekly, so I have become well acquainted with dog care, responsibility, and love. Although I have one hand, I am extremely capable of caring for animals. I love to take my own dog on long walks, so I would love to do the same for others babies as well! I am also available for pop ins full of love, treats, or both. I work Tuesday-Saturday’s, so Sundays and Mondays are my best days. The other days of the week I am off by 4pm, so I don’t mind evenings as well! I love walking with the doggos letting them get all the sniffs! I will abide by any instructions given to me by the pets owners. Food instructions, leash/collar/harness preferences, and walking routes. I’m comfortable with whatever will make you and your fur baby comfortable.

About: I’ve been around dogs my whole life and genuinely love being around them ❤️ I’ve cared for all kinds of breeds from pit bulls, cane corsos, schnauzers, yorkies, and chihuahuas 🐶🐕🦺 So I’m comfortable with both big and small dogs and understand that every dog has their own personality. I also have my own Yorkie Chihuahua mix that I’ve had since he was a puppy 🐾 I’ve personally trained him, & he’s very well behaved & obedient 💕 That experience has taught me patience, consistency, and how to properly care for and communicate with dogs. Your pet will be treated with love, attention, and care like they’re my own 🐾💖 I’m self-employed, so I have a very flexible schedule and am home most days 🏡💕 This allows me to give your pet lots of attention, care, and supervision throughout the day. Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Plymouth
Brandi was fantastic! I had someone cancel last minute to watch my cat for a two week vacation out of the country. I was terrified to leave my cat with someone new. She was amazing! I could tell by the pictures that he loved her and she took amazing care of him.

The communication was incredible. I got consistent updates and photos, so I never had to wonder how my cat was doing. When you're traveling, it's such a relief to have someone in your corner checking in on your baby like they're their own. I look forward to working together again. Highly recommend!

We couldn’t be happier with the care Stormy and Baker receive. Michael is reliable, caring, and treats them like family. It gives us peace of mind knowing they are in such good hands. Stormy and Baker always come home happy and well cared for. Highly recommend!

Always a helping hand in unexpected situations. I never want to take people away from their own busy schedules when something unexpected occurs, but Jaya has always been able to accommodate and has been great with the animals she has watched for us. You won’t regret having her as a sitter.

Mariah was great! We have a pit bull that needs special care and attention, she’s was able to handle all of the request properly. Gave our dog all of the love and attention she needed while we were gone on vacation. It was a stress free experience. We will definitely use her again.

Katherine was hired last minute to take care of my dog, and she was absolutely wonderful! Her communication was excellent from start to finish, which gave me peace of mind while I was away. She was very friendly, professional, and clearly cared about my dog’s well-being. My dog was well taken care of and happy when I returned. I truly appreciate her reliability and kindness, especially on such short notice. I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring dog walker! 🐾💕

Denice was a total pleasure to work with. Our meet and greet went fantastic and our dogs loved her. So much so, that the little one normally will not eat when we are gone, ate all her food. If we are ever in this area again, I will definitely use her again We highly recommend her.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
You and your sitter can agree on a care schedule that fits your pet’s routine and the sitter’s availability. Pet Sitting can be booked as a one-time or recurring drop-in visit. If you need overnight care or dog walks, you may also be able to book House Sitting or Dog Walking through Rover with the same sitter, provided they offer those services.
Before booking, confirm:
- the timing, length, and frequency of visits;
- the care instructions the sitter should follow;
- which parts of your pet’s usual routine should be prioritized;
- how often you would like to receive messages, photos, or other updates.
Not every sitter offers the same services, availability, or booking options. Review their profile and discuss the care you need through Rover before booking each service.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poop breaks occurred. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available 24/7 by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalized, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first .
