Pet care experience

Can't wait to meet you and your dog

I’ve always had a genuine love for animals, and pets have been a constant in my life for about a decade… from caring for my family’s dogs when I lived with my parents to helping friends and neighbors with both dogs and cats. These days I continue pet sitting partly to help support my family and partly because I truly enjoy the companionship and the built‑in excuse to get outside for walks. My daughter is a teen now and not as involved with dog sitting as she used to be, but she still enjoys helping out with our feline guests, especially shy or quieter cats. When you book with me, you’re primarily getting my care and attention, with occasional “bonus” help from her for cat visits. While you’re away, I’m happy to send photos and short updates so you can see how your pet is doing and feel at ease. I respond quickly to messages and do my best to reply within an hour whenever possible. My home is smoke‑free. If your dates show as unavailable on my calendar, feel free to reach out anyway… sometimes I can adjust my schedule or make exceptions for the right fit.

Schedule

I currently work a hybrid schedule. On most days I’m home and able to give pets plenty of attention, walks, and potty breaks. Two days a week I go into the office, but those days are flexible and I do my best to plan them around bookings whenever I can. I may occasionally step out briefly for errands or to drop off/pick up my daughter. During those times, your pet will either relax safely at home (following your crate/house rules) or, if appropriate and allowed, join me for a short car ride. If your pet has a specific routine or time‑sensitive needs, let me know in advance and I’ll be upfront about how my schedule lines up so we can be sure it’s a great fit. My priority is keeping your pet’s day as predictable and low‑stress as possible.

Where your pet will stay

Home characteristics

Lives in a house
Has an unfenced yard
Non-smoking household
Has no pets
Children 6-12 years old
Dogs allowed on bed
Dogs allowed on furniture
Potty breaks every 0-2 hours

Safety, trust & environment

Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priority. I keep a clean, calm home and always supervise pets when they’re outside or interacting with other animals. Doors and gates are checked carefully, walks are on secure leashes, and I follow your rules for crates, furniture, and feeding so your pet has a familiar routine. When I’m caring for your pet in your home, I treat your space with the same respect and care I give my own. I follow your instructions closely, double‑check that your home is locked and secure, and keep you updated so you always know how things are going. My goal is for you to feel completely at ease while you’re away, knowing your pet is safe, understood, and well cared for.

A typical day

A typical day with your pet is a mix of walks, potty breaks, and downtime so they feel relaxed and at home. In the morning we start with a potty break and a walk around the neighborhood, followed by breakfast and some time to settle in. During the day, I offer regular leashed walks and check‑ins, plus playtime or couch snuggles depending on your dog’s energy level. Because I live in a townhome with no fenced yard, all outdoor time is supervised and on leash. I focus on safe, structured walks rather than constant high‑intensity play, which works especially well for small to medium dogs and calmer large dogs. For cats, a typical visit includes fresh food and water, a clean litter box, and as much play or quiet company as they’re comfortable with. I follow your routine as closely as possible… meal times, meds, crate use, and any house rules… so your pet’s day feels familiar even while you’re away. My goal is for them to get just the right mix of exercise, attention, and rest, and to send you updates so you can see how their day is going.

To make sure I’m a great fit and can keep your pet safe and comfortable, please share: - **Feeding & food behavior** - Any food guarding or resource‑guarding around bowls, toys, or treats - Diet details, allergies, and feeding schedule - **Crate use & home routine** - Whether your dog is crate trained, prefers a gated area, or free‑roaming - How long they’re comfortable being left alone - **Energy level & exercise** - Usual walk length and play style (chill strolls vs. lots of fetch) - Any physical limitations, joint issues, or vet restrictions on activity - **Barking & sensitivities** - How vocal they are and common triggers (doorbells, noises outside, other dogs) - Fears or reactivity (men in hats, skateboards, other dogs, thunderstorms, etc.) - **Experience with people & pets** - Comfort level with children, strangers, and other dogs - Any history of biting, snapping, or serious behavior issues (no judgment—just safety) I want your pet to have fun and feel secure while they’re with me, so the more details you can share up front, the better I can match their normal routine and make their stay a happy one.
