“Danielle was amazing to my baby boy Mellow! He loved her and I felt secure having her around him and in my home in such a short notice. I had last minute thing and Danielle was there for the rescue. She visit Mellow twice a day for three days in the row, she made sure to feed him and play with him with his favorite toy and kept his litter clean. Thank you so much for taking great care of my baby. I will definitely have Danielle as my cat sitter again!”

“Yelena provided outstanding care for my Giant Schnauzer, Jager. From the moment we met her, it was clear that she genuinely loves animals and takes her responsibilities seriously. She kept us updated, was attentive to Jager’s needs, and made sure he was comfortable and well cared for throughout his stay. Jager came home happy, relaxed, and clearly enjoyed the time he spent with her. Knowing that he was in such caring and trustworthy hands gave us complete peace of mind. I highly recommend Yelena to anyone looking for a reliable, compassionate, and professional dog sitter. Thank you, Yelena, for taking such wonderful care of Jager. We would gladly trust you with him again!”

“Julie has been such a wonderful person to work with and look after our pup! Would highly recommend her services to anyone! Fantastic communication, detailed reports, and the cutest videos of Honey’s day checkins.”

About: I am a dog mommy to a very energetic & sweet Aussiedoodle named Harley. I have experience with all types of dogs - basic level puppy training, reactive dogs, high-energy or even the most laid back kissy dogs. I am a cautious & alert person who always thinks safety first - your pet is my top priority! I will love them like my own. I currently work full time as a server, only at nights (Sunday-Thursday from 4:30-12:30). I spend mornings at the gym for around an hour & am looking to fit pet care into every day from around 11-2. I unfortunately do not have a yard which means my own dog gets 2 20-minute walks a day with a few pee breaks normally. I have a “dog house” under my stairs with an open/ barred door for safety measures. Although I don’t keep my own dog crated, I have a space if needed. Trained dogs are allowed on my furniture (it’s their space too) with lots of toys to choose from!
“Rebecca is awesome! She came and met our pups and learned all about their schedules and needs and has been amazing. Even with short notice she has great communication and is very flexible with our drop in requests. She sends great updates and pics and we feel like she really cares about the pups and their well being. We are so happy to have connected with her on rover and to have her as our new puppy sitter in Lakewood ranch.”

“If you're looking for someone who will go above and beyond to care for your pets, Jenn is absolutely amazing! She took incredible care of our furry family members while we were away, and we couldn't be happier with her service. From the start, Jenn was professional, kind, and attentive to every detail of our pets' needs. She made sure to keep us informed throughout her stay, sending us regular updates and lots of adorable pictures of our pets. Seeing how happy, relaxed, and well-cared-for they were gave us so much peace of mind. Jenn clearly has a natural connection with animals and treated our pets as if they were her own. Whether it was feeding, playing, or just giving them snuggles and love, she went above and beyond to make sure they were comfortable and happy. It was clear that they adored her! We can't thank Jenn enough for her amazing care and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a pet sitter who is trustworthy, compassionate, and communicative. Thank you, Jenn, for everything, you’re the best!”

“Reece was amazing! I didn’t have to worry at all about the care of our dogs. My daughter left a last minute note to care for a toy and we received updates on the toys at each visit. It was so much fun! I can’t recommend enough.”

About: I have loved and care for animals my whole life. I volunteered at a horse rescue from ages 10-15 and worked at a pet store from age 15-20. After graduating high school I perused and graduated with a bachelors degree in wildlife biology from Coastal Carolina University. No matter your loved ones shape or size, scales or fur, 4 legs or no legs, I’m here for all your animals needs and wants ! Dogs/ cats: Growing up we had about 4 dogs in the house at one time. My family always owned large breed dogs (mastiffs, saint Bernard’s, pit bulls, Akitas) and we also fostered dogs for about 4 years having as many as seven dogs in the house. I had one cat growing up and currently own two cats and one dog. In the pet store I worked in we had a doggie daycare where I supervised ~30 dogs at one time. Handling dogs my whole life I have become accustomed to specialized care for puppies, seniors and special needs. I am able to administer medications, help potty train, provide extra comfort to my senior critters, and do nail trims/ touch up haircuts and grooming. Small animals: I currently own 2 ferrets and 2 bunnies and grew up with 4 bunnies and 3 ferrets. In the pet store I worked in growing up, I also conducted animal husbandry and am familiar/ comfortable caring for small animals such as hamsters, guinea pigs, rabbits, chinchillas, ferrets etc. I am able to administer medications, clean enclosures, and do nail trims. Birds: I have very little experience handling birds but, am open to caring for them if needed. I am not uncomfortable with birds just have less handling experience. I am currently not working and am waiting to start more school in the fall. I take care of my small animals cats and dog on a daily basis and am pretty much available anytime. I have a fenced in yard. The small animals are kept caged and are not accessible to the other pets in the house. The dog (kleya) gets taken on multiple walks daily and brought to a local dog park.
“Darryl is just EXCEPTIONAL! He is incredibly flexible and easy to work with! He payed very particular attention to my pets need and did not hesitate to inform me if they were missing anything! He is definitely worth working with ! Will definitely contact again in the future ! 😀”

“Brandi did such a great job with our babes. Our cats are generally pretty shy, but got Callie to warm up to her immediately and made progress with our little Luna. Highly recommend!”

“Grey was so sweet and wonderful with our three cats while we were on vacation for almost 3 weeks. She sent detailed reports, so many pictures and was very communicative. We will definitely be booking with her again in the future!”

“Sharon was absolutely amazing! On time every time and always sure to provide an update. Matilda loves her and we'll definitely try to book Sharon again the next time we go on Vacation.”

So happy I came across Yelena on Rover! What a gem!! 💎 She was so good with my little Sophie. Normally, Sophie is a scary cat and tends to hide, but Yelena worked her magic and got Sophie’s buy-in immediately. So happy to see how much she cared for her, provided me a lot of comfort especially being out of the country. Thank you so much Yelena!!

Tracy was truly phenomenal with our dogs while we were out of state for a few days. From the very beginning, she was professional, reliable, and incredibly kind. She followed every instruction perfectly—including carefully administering medication to one of our dogs—and made us feel completely at ease knowing our boys were in such capable hands. Tracy went above and beyond by sending regular updates and adorable photos at each visit, which meant so much to us while we were away. It was clear from the pictures and notes that our boys were not just being cared for, but were genuinely happy, comfortable, and loved. We are very particular about who we trust in our home and with our dogs, and Tracy exceeded every expectation. Having her stay in our home allowed our boys to remain in their normal routine, and we could tell they felt safe and relaxed with her. We are so grateful to have found someone we trust so completely with the two dogs we hate leaving behind. We would absolutely book Tracy again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring, attentive, and dependable dog sitter.

Thank you Kellie!! We are so grateful to have Kellie look after our cats over two years, while we are away. My diabetic cat needs insulin with his food every 12 hrs and has difficulty peeing in the letterbox so he uses several puppy training pads. Kellie understands his needs and takes great care of him. She was booked on the last day of our trip so we planned to come home early but she was able to fit him into her already busy schedule so we didn't have to worry. She is a real blessing!! 🙏

Excellent job! Went above and beyond by taking photos of our girl to let us know how she was doing (even though it took detective work to find Callie). They were also were nice enough to bring in packages that arrived while we were gone so they didn’t get stolen before we returned! Thanks again for a wonderful job.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
