About: I have a big home with a large fenced in yard, I have a 2 year old 77 pd Greadoodle and a 16 year old chihuahua, I’ve owned Great Danes since I was 18, so love all doggies. I welcome well behaved, non-aggressive, housebroken dogs, please have all vaccines and flea prevention as well. I’m home all the time, so day, evening or overnight care is easy for me, I’m available holidays. I typically vacation 3 weeks a year, I give plenty of notice for planned vacations. I have a large fenced in yard, pets are allowed anywhere in our house. I will travel within 10 miles of our home to care for your pet.

“Ana was wonderful! She came out for a meet and greet and was quick to learn my pups routine and special needs and get hands on right away! During her visits while I was away she kept me updated with thorough reports and pictures. She’s was awesome and I would definitely rebook and use her again in the future!”

“It was such a relief to have a sitter who gave us updates and we could tell when he was there. Much better then having a friend of my husbands doing it. I could tell by the updates my old gal really grew to be comfortable with Andrew🐶. When I got home too she wasn't overly obsessed and attached like she usually is, this tells me she got the attention she needed!! Would definitely use again 😁”

“Lilly is FABULOUS! My babies LOVE her! She has experience with the bully breeds and knew exactly how to manage them! The caring photos and messages made my day when they would arrive on my phone! I will have to travel more now that I know Lilly!! Thank you Lilly you’re the best!! ❤️🐾🐾❤️”

About: I love all animals (minus frogs lol). I look forward to sharing my love with your fur babies & showcasing them all the attention they deserve. :) I am a teacher so I am home everyday by 4:00 p.m. I am open on weekends, including during the week (just depends on what you need me for). I live in downtown Clermont above Cosa Nostra. There are various walking paths, many outdoor locations, as well as other pet-friendly areas & people around.
“Margarita did a great job. It was her first time with the pups and when I returned home they were happy and healthy. She was great about sending updates and pictures of them which always makes me feel better while I am away from them. I would like to hire her again in the very near future.”

“Niki was wonderful! She and her husband took care of my kitty while i was out of the country and gave me total peace of mind. My cat got sick one day and Niki made an extra stop at my house to check on my girl just to make sure she was okay. She went above and beyond! I can tell from the pictures that my cat felt comfortable in her care and look forward to using her again and again!”

“Tammy was extremely detail oriented and made sure all care details for our dog were taken care of. She communicated constantly and kept us up to date on all drop in visits with photos and updates. We felt very comfortable knowing our fur baby was in good hands with Tammy!”

“Shannon was amazing, will use her again and again. She accepted my last minute request for booking and took photos of my dog Lady that belonged in a magazine lol and Lady enjoyed her long walk too. Great communication!”

“Lindsey is great with my two girls. She has great availability, is prompt with her visits, and trustworthy. She also came and did a meet and greet before we booked. Highly recommend.”

“Services were provided as promised all 3 days that I needed Bob to visit the house and walk/feed our dog. Will definitely book with Bob And Kathy again in the future! Our dog Hilo enjoyed the time Bob spent with him.”

About: I am excited to provide drop in visits for potty breaks, exercise and playtime, and lots of loves. I can also provide just walks if that’s what your fur baby needs. I have had fur babies of my own for over 40 years and will treat yours just like family. I have also looked after many friend’s and family’s pets. I work part time from home and could provide drop ins and walks morning, noon, and evening. I currently work from home part time with a very flexible schedule so that leaves me with a lot of down time to look after others pets. I would love to drop in on your pets for feeding, potty breaks, playtime and lots and lots of love. I can take them on walks or just let them out in your backyard to potty and play.
“Karrie was absolutely amazing with our dogs, Frank and Rocco! They loved her right away, which gave us so much peace of mind. She was caring, reliable, and clearly great with animals. We came home to two very happy pups and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy dog sitter!”

“Needed a drop in visit on a whim and Jen came through and saved the day! Our boys love her, she’s kind, efficient and thorough with our dogs that we are particular about. Thanks so much!!”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats most of my life, I own 2 dogs and 5 cats of my own! The rest of my family owns pets of all kinds, so I’ve grown up around all types of animals. I’ve spent a lot of time helping out friends and family when they need someone to watch their pets, I’m always a go to for them! I’m always willing to do whatever is needed of me when it comes to helping out with animals. I have experience with dogs and cats all the way from puppy to end of life moments. I’m currently unemployed, so my schedule is very flexible for all of your pet needs. I’m available most days of the week, weekends and nights. I am extremely careful when it comes to watching animals, I know that an animal is a precious member of any family and I will do all I can to keep your pets safe and happy while feeling loved. I never bring pets into my own home because I am very cautious about how my cats and dogs will react. When I enter other people's homes, I try to work with the owner first to make sure their pet is comfortable with me before leaving. I treat all pets as if they are my own, so rest assured that your pet will be just as spoiled as mine for the times I am with them! I follow ALL instructions given to me by pet parents, and check in anytime I have questions.
About: I grew up with cats, but began to be around dogs in my 20s. I owned my own for 16 years along with my cat for 20. I have studied behavior analysis and used some of the techniques with my dog. I have been pet/house sitting for years. I teach during the school year, so am unavailable for midday walks until the weekend and prefer to be within 10 miles of Minneola when working. I have cared for pets in a variety of homes with a variety of duties, ranging from just checking on a cat, to taking dogs for multiple walks, administering medications, checking mail, watering plants and feeding fish.

Margarita did a great job. It was her first time with the pups and when I returned home they were happy and healthy. She was great about sending updates and pictures of them which always makes me feel better while I am away from them. I would like to hire her again in the very near future.

We couldn't be happier with Molly as our cat sitter! She was incredibly patient and attentive, especially with one of our cats who was nervous at first. Rather than rushing the process, Molly took her time with a gentle, slow approach — and it worked beautifully. By the second day our shy cat was already warming up to her, and by the last day both cats were completely comfortable in her care. As a bonus, she even helped us troubleshoot some technical issues with our cameras, which we really appreciated. Molly went above and beyond, and we'll definitely be booking her again!

Denise goes the extra mile with our gur kids while we travel. She even tries to win over our grumpy cat that hates everyone, even us! She takes the time to give us real information during her visit with them, even pics. We really trust her and never worry about them while we are away.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
