“Super duper sweet and friendly! Provided great updates on my animals and cute pictures! So glad I could find someone to trust with my babies while I’m out of town”

“Thank you, Lilly for the last minute availability & for caring for Otis so well! Otis was clearly well loved. We look forward to entrusting you again later this week.”

“Niki is the BEST as always, going above and beyond and leaving the best pics and reports for me so I know my kitty is in the absolute best care. I would trust Niki with any pet and home - she’s your girl!”

“Tammy was absolutely wonderful with my pet! She was reliable, caring, and kept me updated throughout the visits, which gave me great peace of mind while I was away. It was clear that she genuinely cared and made sure my pet was comfortable, happy, and well taken care of. I came home to a happy pet and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. I highly recommend Tammy and would definitely book with her again! Thank you, Tammy, for taking such great care of my furry family member! 🐾❤️”

“Jennifer is excellent and highly recommend. We were nervous about leaving our fur babies for the first time with a stranger as we usually take them on vacation with us but we were on a cruise. This was much better than boarding them as we did years ago. They were comfortable in their own home with visits from Jennifer. She followed some complicated directions with their feedings and spoiled selves to keep them on their routines. We came home and they seemed to only act as we were gone hours versus days and they were back to normal right away. This is so contrary to when we have picked them up from boarding and they looked sickly, depressed and upset for at least a week after. I’m so happy I tried Rover and Jennifer agreed to take care of our fur children. We feel comfortable traveling again soon and will definitely have Jennifer as our sitter.”

“Shannon is amazing! Very comunícative, was great with dogs , highly recommend. Great person to deal with . Will definitely use again . This was our first time and she set the bar real high”

“Excellent communication with Chella before and after the visit. Arrived when requested and stayed the amount of time I had requested. She sent a couple pictures, and when I contacted her about the visit, she was quick to reply with an update. I appreciate when someone is reliable and can be counted on to take care of my babies when I am unable to be there, and Chella was all of that.”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats most of my life, I own 2 dogs and 5 cats of my own! The rest of my family owns pets of all kinds, so I’ve grown up around all types of animals. I’ve spent a lot of time helping out friends and family when they need someone to watch their pets, I’m always a go to for them! I’m always willing to do whatever is needed of me when it comes to helping out with animals. I have experience with dogs and cats all the way from puppy to end of life moments. I’m currently unemployed, so my schedule is very flexible for all of your pet needs. I’m available most days of the week, weekends and nights. I am extremely careful when it comes to watching animals, I know that an animal is a precious member of any family and I will do all I can to keep your pets safe and happy while feeling loved. I never bring pets into my own home because I am very cautious about how my cats and dogs will react. When I enter other people's homes, I try to work with the owner first to make sure their pet is comfortable with me before leaving. I treat all pets as if they are my own, so rest assured that your pet will be just as spoiled as mine for the times I am with them! I follow ALL instructions given to me by pet parents, and check in anytime I have questions.
“I used Kiara again to watch our baby while we were out of town. She did an amazing job with Rosey and kept us informed of everything. She sent videos, pictures, and updated throughout her drop ins and made sure to let me know of any changes or concerns while we were gone. Rosey’s official dog sitter! I will not use anyone else ❤️”

“Jennifer is awesome! She always sends adorable pictures during her visits that my kids always look forward to. We love knowing Chloe is being loved on while we are away!”

“Molly was communicative and attentive - took great notes on how best to care for Bear during our initial meeting and kept in touch during each visit. Thanks for the great care, Molly!”

About: I have been pet sitting for about 4-5 years now while having about 7 of my own. I am about to be a Pre-Veterinary student and am looking to spend my time just caring for pets in any way possible! I am very clean, organized, and will always put your pets care first! I am currently working part time, but I am able to work out just about any time that you need:) can be as flexible as possible! I have a fenced yard, and three small dogs and two cats. They are all playful once the excitement of a new friend dies down. But I am currently in the process of moving so I am more willing to sit in the comfort of their home rather than have them nervous with the chaos of moving!
About: I will love your pups. (Or kitties!) ALMOST as much as you. I only say “Almost” because, let’s face it, they are YOUR babies. I totally understand being a doggie mama of 2 fur babies myself. I will treat your pets like they are my own. Also, if you are anything like me, I want you to know that you WILL be getting regular updates. I hate being anxious about my babies when I’m away from them. So don’t worry, I got you! I currently work from home, and I can chose the hours I work. So, when my boyfriend said “no” to another pet, I found a workaround: Rover! Now, I can help you with a peace of mind, while spending time with MORE fur babies! It’s a win-win for everyone! I currently work from home, and I can chose the hours I work. I have the freedom to chosen when it’s time for a break to spend time with spend time with your baby. And I also have had animals around me since I was old enough to breathe. (From day 1.)

Emily was so kind and attentive to my cat. She made sure she was well taken care of and recieved plentt of pets! I loved all the cute photos she sent me. I would feel confident leaving my cat in her care in the future. I highly recommend her for all your pet sitting needs!! THANK YOU EMILY!!!

Wonderful experience w Lilly watching our kitties while we were away. Our one skittish cat came out each day and was very friendly with her!!! She brought packages in the house too:) Excellent communication, punctual and sent pics each day🐱 Lilly made going away so easy with peace of mind knowing they were cared or so well‼️

We couldn't be happier with Molly as our cat sitter! She was incredibly patient and attentive, especially with one of our cats who was nervous at first. Rather than rushing the process, Molly took her time with a gentle, slow approach — and it worked beautifully. By the second day our shy cat was already warming up to her, and by the last day both cats were completely comfortable in her care. As a bonus, she even helped us troubleshoot some technical issues with our cameras, which we really appreciated. Molly went above and beyond, and we'll definitely be booking her again!

Denise goes the extra mile with our gur kids while we travel. She even tries to win over our grumpy cat that hates everyone, even us! She takes the time to give us real information during her visit with them, even pics. We really trust her and never worry about them while we are away.

Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
