About: I have a big home with a large fenced in yard, I have a 2 year old 77 pd Greadoodle and a 16 year old chihuahua, I’ve owned Great Danes since I was 18, so love all doggies. I welcome well behaved, non-aggressive, housebroken dogs, please have all vaccines and flea prevention as well. I’m home all the time, so day, evening or overnight care is easy for me, I’m available holidays. I typically vacation 3 weeks a year, I give plenty of notice for planned vacations. About: Hi there, fellow Fur Families! My name is Jenna and I am an animal enthusiast and experienced animal care provider. I have experience caring for all types of domestic pets (plus experience with exotics and wildlife!) I have volunteered for zoos in both Florida and Alabama as well as a wildlife center, also serving as a docent for the Gulf Breeze Zoo many years ago. I missed my calling earlier in life to be a veterinarian, so I am getting ready to go back to school to first obtain a masters in zoology then work my way toward veterinary school. I do not remember a time in my life when I wasn't taking care of animals. I am from a family of small dog breeders, first with cocker spaniels when I was very young and then with schnauzers into my teen years. I assisted with births and puppy care starting when I was a young teen and spent my younger years spending all of my time with our cats and dogs. I started grooming our schnauzers when I was 12 and worked for a groomer for a short time when I was in college. Family and friends consistently come to me with any of their pet questions (particularly when related to dogs) and I am usually their first choice for caring for their pets when they are out of town. I share my home in Groveland with a 17 year old son (who is also a huge animal lover, like his Mama!) a German Shepherd, a Doberman, a Shepherd/Husky mix, a Havanese, a miniature dachshund, 2 cats, a ferret, and a Senegal parrot. I offer pet sitting in my home - or yours - and am available for drop-ins or daily walks. I can even work from your home on my work-from-home days if you would like someone to be with your pets all day in the comfort of their normal surroundings. *For the safety of my pets, any animals boarding in my home will require confirmation from your veterinarian that each pet is up to date on vaccines, including Bordetella.* I currently work full time for a homebuilder, working from home 3 days per week during the workweek – and my job is very flexible so I am home most of the time. I have a small fenced yard, 2 small dogs & 2 cats to keep your babies company- and three big dogs who love to play if your fur kids are social. We also have plenty of room to keep everyone separated if that is preferred. I am also a firm believer in the "double-door" policy that I learned from volunteering in zoos. We do not use our front door and have a screened in patio in the back. The door to the patio must be closed before the screen door is opened (and our utility room door must be closed before we open the door to the garage) - safeguarding against any unexpected escapees.

About: I worked at a dog boarding and daycare facility for 3 years, where I completed multiple courses on canine behavior and handling. I hold a degree in Animal Behavior and have been dog sitting for friends and family for several years. Currently, I work part-time as a Zoological Specialist, and previously gained years of experience caring for and training exotic animals. I have a strong foundation in animal training techniques, and my background gives me a deep understanding of behavior, safety, and enrichment — insight I bring to every pet I care for! My own dog, Moxie, was my best friend & lived a long, happy life of 15 1/2 years. She taught me how deeply we love our pets & how much they mean to us. That’s why I treat every animal I care for as if they’re my own! I currently work 40 hours as a Zoological Specialist, with a rotating schedule. My weekend falls on Wednesday and Thursday, when I’m most available. Since my shifts vary, I often have availability during weekday mornings or evenings, depending on the week. Safety has always been a top priority in my work. While at the dog daycare, I was responsible for closely observing canine behavior to ensure safe and positive interactions within playgroups.
