“This was my first time using this service and Vivian answered all of my questions about the process. My pup was a bit nervous but she came out like she ran the place. :)”

“I just wanted to say how much I appreciate everything. Seriously, when it comes to the practical stuff, I never have a single worry; everything always feels super secure and well-managed. And honestly, the Idalis team , they’re just the absolute best! I have such immense trust in them, and they always make everything so pleasant and easygoing. Plus, my dog absolutely *adores* coming over. He always has the most fantastic time playing with all the other pups – he practically begs to go 😄. It's such a wonderful spot for him (and for me, too!).”

About: I have always had pets in my home. Life is complete with the 4 legged friends around and makes a home complete. Your fur babies will get unconditional love ❤️ I'm currently home and have all my time to spend with all the fur babies. They will get love and attention as long as they are with me. I have a pet friendly home and a fenced yard. I don't currently have any pets of my own at this time. Unfortunately my fur baby crossed not long ago. He is missed dearly and I look forward to having some in my home

“We would highly recommend Helene to any one. She was so caring and loving to our 15 year old Havanese. Has a very clean home, let’s your pet roam free. Has a great fenced in yard to do their business. She was wonderful. Cora and Denny”

I’m home all the time, so day, evening or overnight care is easy for me, I’m available holidays. I typically vacation 3 weeks a year, I give plenty of notice for planned vacations. I have a large fenced in yard, pets are allowed anywhere in our house. I will travel within 10 miles of our home to care for your pet.

About: I have 30+ years of experience training, grooming, and providing a high standard of care in the animal world. I have trained birds for production, stage shows, and free flight. I have worked with parrots, birds of prey, and exotics. I have trained service dogs, K9 dogs, taught puppy classes, basic obedience classes, and dogs for film, production, and stage shows. I can cater to anything you need from walking difficult dogs, boarding difficult dogs, teaching and enriching the bond between animal and human, enriching the daily lives of your pet, and so much more! I have been working with bird behaviors in the home for the past several years and can help transform unwanted pet bird behaviors into a happy and healthy feathered family member! Tours by appointment. I own a small business called Feather and Fur Academy. I devote my entire week to my passion: enriching the daily lives of animals and strengthening the bond between pet and human with training, reinforcement, and enrichment. I live on a small 5 acre farm. We have been here since September 2023 and are still slowly setting up, but I have kennels available for boarding, plenty of land for training, a dog yard with a confidence course, pools and sprinklers for the water dogs, and an area in the back for bird flight training. We are still building and adding things as we grow.
“Maria had a great way with Onyx. It was his first time doing any daycare in his time with me, and I wasn’t sure how he’d feel about it. He did great! Onyx will be staying with Maria any time I need a sitter, and in fact I’ve already booked Maria for a family trip in July.”

“Great experience! Elisabeth is terrific with Henry, my 2 yr old miniature poodle mix. Henry is timid and not used to being away from me at home. He did exceptionally well with Elisabeth. She sent pictures and videos so we could see how he was doing. He was playing and was 100% happy when I picked him up. Her house is very clean and there’s a lovely fenced yard. I will definitely use Elisabeth for our upcoming trips!”

“I could tell Candie knows how to handle dogs. I just wish I had thought to ask ahead of time how many dogs she would have the day I took mine. Mine is a little bit too submissive to a big pack and she was a bit stressed at the end of the day. Not sure I understand why only one potty break for the 7 hours she was there with a fenced in yard in spite of the extreme heat. But overall I think Candie is a great dog sitter.”

“The meet and greet with Brittany and her 7yr old Great Dane was amazing! My 4 yr old Boxer dog is super energetic and I was excited to see how well Brittany and her Great Dane dealt with him. We spent an hour with them in the fenced yard and I feel very comfortable with leaving my Boxer dog in her care. I really appreciate the time she has take to answer any questions I had and just share her experience with caring for dogs of different breeds. I'm excited to have met Brittany!”

About: Hi! My name is Alyssa. I am a lifelong dog owner and former dog foster parent. I have experience caring for dogs of all natures - senior dogs, reactive dogs, and administering medications. I know the anxiety that comes with leaving your fur baby. Leave that worry at the door when your pet stays in my home! I will love and care for you let as if they are our own! My work allows me to be home all day, allowing me to provide personalized care and attention, never miss medication doses, and plenty of cuddles! My husband also works remotely two days a week. Although he will not be responsible for care, he shares my love and compassion for dogs and will love your pet like his own too! We own a 5 year old, 80lb Catahoula Leopard Dog Mix named Duke. He is neutered, well-trained (he talks with buttons!), very socialized, and adapts well to visiting dogs. He will lie down when playing with smaller dogs and respects boundaries when playtime is over. My home is currently child-free, creating a quiet environment with a perfectly sized, fenced in backyard. My home and yard provide a variety of enrichment and separate spaces for dogs who prefer their own area. I look forward to welcoming and caring for your pet in our home! I am incredibly grateful to be able to be fully remote 7 days a week. My husband works remotely two days a week, in office 3 days. My dog and I love spending time outdoors, either playing out in the yard or relaxing in our screened in porch! When my husband gets home from work we like to take family walks around our quiet, safe community. I provide a safe, calm, and structured environment where every dog can feel comfortable and secure. My home is child-free with minimal clutter for dogs to get into. We have a full fenced backyard with no neighboring dogs, for supervised outdoor playtime. I am home throughout the day, allowing me to closely monitor pets, maintain routines to elevate stress, administer medication, and provide plenty of attention, exercise, and love. We have crate trained my dog and can give him crate time to provide separate spaces and help all dogs feel comfortable. My dog may be big but he is incredibly intelligent and empathetic. He has been noted to comfort and welcome new dogs at his day care. He is impressive with understanding boundaries and can either give your dog space or be your dog’s new BFF (best furry friend!)! I

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Clermont commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
