“We really appreciated Kiara staying at our house and taking care of our dog and cat. With Callie being 12 years old, it was nice for her to be able to stay at home. Kiara kept us updated on how things were going. We will definitely use Kiara again.”

“Kelli goes the extra mile to make sure that my fur babies are loved and taken care of. I feel so comfortable and lucky when I know she is with my pets when I’m out of town! Kelli will continue to be my choice of pet/house sitters every time!”
“We were very happy with Meghan. She treated our pets (cat and dog) like her own. They were both very relaxed when we got back home. Also she left our home even better than before we left. Will definitely hire her again!”

“Natalie watched our 12 year old dog and she did an amazing job! Natalie provided daily updates and photos and communicated well with us while we were gone. I would recommend Natalie to anyone needed in home care!”

“Amy stayed in our home to care for our 2 seven year old dogs for 8 days. She was in constant communication with us and updated us with pictures on a regular basis on how things were going and how the dogs were behaving without us. When we returned from our trip, we noticed our home had been treated with the upmost care and respect. We are definitely using her again.”

“Jennifer was amazing! Had to book last minute and first time using Rover but will definitely use her next time we need anyone to watch our fur babies! Excellent communication and care.”

“We would highly recommend April to take care of your pet. She stayed in our home for almost a month with our senior dog. We were out of the country and she communicated with us almost daily to let us know how our dog was and also by sending pictures. She had to give her medication and eye drops every day. She is a very caring, compassionate and trustworthy person.”

“Tonya, was exceptional. Dogs loved her, I was able to relax and enjoy my time at my daughters wedding in Dominican without having to regularly check in at home. I received updates and photos which is something I need and she just checked all the boxes. I trust her and would absolutely use her again! (she evan had to administer meds to one dog daily and no issues) Thank you for everything!”

“Savannah was an amazing pet and house sitter. She went above and beyond to not only take care of our furr babies, but take care of our house too! She is very accommodating, communicative and great with our animals. Thank you once again for taking care of our zoo!”

“So happy to have found Carli. We have a very lovable golden who loves everyone and a hound mix who can have her moments. Carli completely understood having an animal with some anxiety and put us at ease when our girl warmed up right away. Will definitely be using her again for house sitting and drop ins in the future.”

“Taylor took excellent care of our dog and cat! We have quite a few "special" requirements for our senior four-legged family members and Taylor was up for the task. She stayed in our home and fit in like a champ! In fact, we've booked Taylor for another (longer) visit. Thank you, Taylor!”

“Cynthia was incredible! Very communicative and sent lots of pictures and videos of our girl. This was the first time we have left our baby girl since the death of our other fur baby, Dexter, in December, so we were really nervous leaving her. Cynthia eased all of our nerves by spoiling our girl rotten, which I personally believe every dog deserves. Thank you, Cynthia, for loving on our fur baby so well. Will definitely be using Cynthia on a regular basis for doggy sitting.”

“Hannah was great! She took wonderful care of my three dogs and six chickens. I received pictures and updates daily, and never worried about my babies while gone. I will definitely call on her again in the future!”
“Maria was great! She took great care of my golden (Wally), sent lots of pics, and provided excellent communication throughout her stay with him. I would fully recommend her and would not hesitate to have her stay with Wally again.”

About: Hi! I work from home and I love spending time with dogs and getting to know their personalities! I have had dogs my whole life ranging from a mini dachshund to a great dane. With my schedule I am able to provide plenty of potty breaks and play time. I have a puppy who loves playing with other dogs and he seems to help make pets feel more comfortable while I'm boarding them! I work from home so I am able to fit in pet care easily! I already have 3 dogs and a big backyard so pet sitting does not change the daily routine much for me. I have a high privacy fence for the backyard to ensure all dogs stay securely in the yard during potty breaks. My home is already puppy proofed for both large and small dogs to accommodate my own pets.
“Angel did an excellent job watching our dog Jumba, very responsive whenever I sent a message to see how things were going, providing pictures of my boy, and asking questions whenever she was unsure about any of Jumba's behaviors (he's a goofy boy). She also cleaned up the day she left and the house was in the same order as when we left it. Could not recommend Angel enough to any other person who may enlist her services for house watching/dog sititng!”

I love making new fuzzy friends and providing care for your best friend with peace of mind so you can enjoy your day, vacation etc. I work part time and am in school online. With that I can be readily available for your pet during the time you need. My schedule is always the same to make time for your pets schedule and needs. I have 3 cats and a dog. I take my dog on long walks everyday and go to the dog park about twice a week. He has a set schedule for his feeding and needs. Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Mascotte walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Mascotte maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Mascotte choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
