About: I've grown up with pets around me my entire life. My first pets included a rainforest macaw named Peter, and a Shih Tzu named Bala. Since then we've owed many pets and they all have a special place in our hearts. There is always someone at home, so the dogs are never home alone. They are part of the family when they are in our care. The kids love the company too! I have a fenced in yard and we currently do not have pets as our 15 year old Chihuahua recently passed. Now we get to share memories with all the ones that come stay with us at our home.

“Jill is fantastic! It's obvious she loves the pups and connects easily with them; her daily updates are reassuring, and the pics are great. She has rearranged her schedule to accommodate mine, which I truly appreciate. I foster dogs, and when the occasional boarding need arises I always use Jill. Her calm demeanor and the socialization with other dogs, cats and horses is so very helpful for them to gain confidence and learn the skills that will help them find their forever families. I encourage you to use Jill the next time your pup needs a place to crash- she's the absolute best!”

“Cherie was great with our dog and so accommodating. We were nervous to leave our dog Fera because she has really bad separation anxiety, but Cherie put us at ease. She kept us up to date with lots of pictures and Fera got along great with her dog. We had a few hiccups in our trip and had to push back the pickup time and Cherie was super understanding about everything!”

“Sandra was great with communication and pics of Lola during her stay! She made me feel very comfortable leaving for my trip and I knew my pup was in good hands. Highly recommend!”

“Needed to board our dog max for 2 weeks during an international trip at the last minute. They were both very friendly and accommodating of our dog! Will definitely book again!”

“Rosie had an amazing time staying at Korie's house and we will definitely use again. Korie had excellent communication and sent pictures and videos of her time there. Don't hesitate to use Korie for your pet, you will not be sorry!!”

“I'm so grateful I found this place! Carla accepted my same-day reservation, which was a lifesaver. It gave me a reliable place to leave my dogs while I enjoyed my vacation. The prices are very affordable and the service is great.”

“I had a family emergency, so there was no meet and greet. In a moments notice, Charles stepped in and picked up my two dogs and kept them at his home for a week. He sent me pictures and reassured me my dogs were being well cared for. When I picked them up they had been freshly bathed and were happy. Thank you for being there when I needed you most!”

“I had never used Rebecca before and needed someone to watch my senior dog last-minute. Rebecca took a chance on us, and I am so happy she did! She was very friendly and sent lots of pictures and updates. Even though I had not used her before this stay, I felt very comfortable dropping my dog off with her and he returned happy and healthy. Will definitely use her again!”

“Kacey was absolutely wonderful! She sent me pictures or videos of my beloved dog having a blast. He was well exercised and loved. He was very excited to see me return and wasn’t anxious to leave right away. I could tell he felt completely at home. Kacey responded quickly and went above and beyond to take care of my pup. I really could t be more pleased and will definitely be a returning customer!”

“Shayla did an awesome job! She was very good at sending pictures and letting me know how my 2 fur babies were doing. We came home a day early and she went above and beyond to help work out the refund! Thanks Shayla :)”

“This was the first time we ever boarded our 2 dogs so I was definitely on edge. What a relief that we found such a wonderful caring sitter! Lynnette sent us pictures and a video which was greatly appreciated! Dogs loved their mini vacation where they had a fenced in yard to play, and we enjoyed our vacation without worrying about their care!”

“Ann did a great job watching Pepper for the week. She kept me update with messages (which I asked for). Ann was observant and asked good questions. I felt my dog was well cared for. Would I hire Ann again, yes!”

“Mack now knows when we are getting close to Madolin’s house; I can tell he loves going there b/c he walks right in & makes himself at home...so glad he’s excited to go stay with her.”

About: Growing up i took care of my grandmas 5 dogs, 8 cats, And 2 birds because she loves animals but she can’t walk so i took care of them all and found my love for animals. I’m available all days of the week and have a flexible schedule. I’m able to provide pet care on weekdays and weekends, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, and overnight stays. I’m happy to work around your schedule and make sure your pets get plenty of attention, playtime, and care! “When our dogs are sad to leave you know they had a good time; Rinske treats them like family. She was awesome with our dogs, and while it's sad to be away from our dogs, knowing they are safe and having a good time, makes being away from them so much easier.”

“Judi is an amazing pet sitter who took excellent care of our baby. Since day one of meeting her, she was very welcoming. She was also very informative and send daily messages to give us updates on how our baby was doing. When we came home after our week vacation, our baby wanted to stay another week with Judi. We are looking forward to our next vacation knowing Fluffy will be in great hands.”

“Nikhol absolutely came to our rescue! We had to cancel another Rover last minute and had no idea what to do. We contacted Nikhol and she was more than willing to accommodate us. From the initial meeting we were beyond confident that Indy would be very comfortable with Nikhol and her family. We loved the constant communication during the visit complete with pics and videos. Indy even made a new friend with Chapo, the family’s dog. Some sitters just watch your dog, that’s pretty easy. Nikhol and her family really make your pup feel like part of their family. We’ve used Rover quite a few times and this is one of the best experiences we’ve had. Thank you!!!”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
