About: I've grown up with pets around me my entire life. My first pets included a rainforest macaw named Peter, and a Shih Tzu named Bala. Since then we've owed many pets and they all have a special place in our hearts. There is always someone at home, so the dogs are never home alone. They are part of the family when they are in our care. The kids love the company too! I have a fenced in yard and we currently do not have pets as our 15 year old Chihuahua recently passed. Now we get to share memories with all the ones that come stay with us at our home.
“Kacey was absolutely wonderful! She sent me pictures or videos of my beloved dog having a blast. He was well exercised and loved. He was very excited to see me return and wasn’t anxious to leave right away. I could tell he felt completely at home. Kacey responded quickly and went above and beyond to take care of my pup. I really could t be more pleased and will definitely be a returning customer!”

“This was my first appointment on Rover and Ann was wonderful helping me set the request and of course also great while taking care of my 3, attention demanding, frenchies! She was also very flexible on adjusting to the time needs of the day, dogs loved her right away like they knew her for a long time even though this was the first sitting. Thanks Rover and pet sitters for all you do !!”

“We’re repeat customers… Korie is the best! We are completely comfortable leaving our girls with her and know they will have excellent care and a great time- lots of love and plenty of room to run and play. It’s a holiday for them!”

“Saira was absolutely wonderful! I didn't have to ask for updates or pictures as she made sure to send them throughout the day. She definitely made me feel at ease knowing my 2 dogs were being taken care of. Thank you so much!!!”

“Judi did an amazing job caring for our two Chihuahuas! She and her husband are so loving. Staying in an unfamiliar place with new people can be very stressful for our little dogs. Judi went above and beyond to ensure they felt comfortable and loved. She took the time to find out about their routine, likes, and dislikes. One of our dogs is almost blind and Judi used her own throw pillows to make a soft barrier so Leah wouldn't run into their sliding glass doors. We could tell from the photos that our dogs felt safe and comfortable. We highly recommend Judi as a care giver!!”

“So very pleased with the care our dog was given! Charles kept in touch with pictures and comments. We have never left our dog this long before and couldn’t be happier. Will Definately use him again!”

“Mack now knows when we are getting close to Madolin’s house; I can tell he loves going there b/c he walks right in & makes himself at home...so glad he’s excited to go stay with her.”

“Carla was an amazing pet sitter for my dog! She took in my anxious Chiweenie at the last minute for a whole week. She was extremely gentle, kind, and patient with his occasional bad behavior. I loved getting her daily updates and pictures while I was away. Carla is a wonderful communicator, and I highly recommend her to anyone!”

“Shayla treated my furbabies like they were her own- I’ve never seems them so happy at a sitter. They were safe and snuggled - just like at home. Constant updates and pics is such a great touch while traveling. Will use her again and again - for as long as she will have us!!!”

“Had a great first experience using Rover thanks to Rebecca. From the initial meet and greet through the boarding, Rebecca was warm, friendly, and accommodating. She provided excellent care for my two dogs, as well as sending me several pictures and updates throughout the day. Would definitely book with Rebecca again”

“Lynnette and her hubby did a great job! Lots of pics and even video of our doggies during the week we were gone. I would feel TOTALLY comfortable using them again. NO HESITATION. Also, very accommodating on timeframe for pick up and drop off.”

“Feliksa has watched my dog several times since the beginning of the year. She is attentive to my dog's needs and provides a stress-free environment. I highly recommend her if you are in the Apopka area.”

“When our dogs are sad to leave you know they had a good time; Rinske treats them like family. She was awesome with our dogs, and while it's sad to be away from our dogs, knowing they are safe and having a good time, makes being away from them so much easier.”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
