“Rebecca is an outstanding dog sitter! She has a dedicated private room with hard floors, providing a safe space for the puppies to roam freely without any worries about them chewing on anything. She consistently sends daily updates and photos, keeping me informed on how my pups are doing :) On multiple occasions, she's gone above and beyond to assist when unexpected issues arose with my dogs. I feel completely confident leaving my pets in her care, knowing they are in great hands. I've used her services several times and will continue to do so as long as she's available.”

“Jennifer and her family took care of our pups like family would. We felt comfortable and received lots of pictures. She was also flexible with timing. You could tell how much she loves animals.”

“It was great having Caroline watch our fur-baby. As first time Rover users we were nervous about leaving our boy with someone new. As soon as we met her we knew he would be in good hands. She sent us regular updates and pictures, which put us at ease. I could tell he felt right at home staying with her and that she took great care of him.”

“Christina was amazing! We used her as our first dog sitter who wasn’t family. She took amazing care of our baby and even sent us daily updates of their adventures while we were away. Highly recommend and would use her again in the future!”

“Koda stayed for an extended visit and everything went really smoothly. I got videos regularly, which made me feel totally at ease while I was away. He clearly had a blast — especially making new dog friends. He came home happy and tired in the best way. I’d definitely book again.”

“Brooke and her sister took such good care of our three cats! They were very flexible with pickup and drop off since we hit traffic. They even sent our cats home with a gift bag of goodies! Would definitely book again!”

“Omg! Michael D. was so wonderful with my big red bone coonhound. He had lots of chill space and long exploring walks. I got daily pics showing what he was doing and he answered any contact I had with him promptly. I highly recommend this sitter. But don't take my spot😉”

“I have to say this experience has been the best one since moving to Florida and possibly the best one yet. I received photos and videos the entire time, and received responses quickly when I was running late or was on my way. My pup has been with other sitters in the area and he never came home so happy and healthy. I recommend this sitter and will definitely be using them again and again ?”

“Andrea and her family did a fantastic job of taking care of our fur babies. They got lots of play time in her large yard and socialized with her family and other dogs. Would definitely recommend.”

“We had a great experience with Maria she was very attentive and communicative throughout the days. Our German shepherd was very happy with her. Would definitely recommend her and use her service again ❤️”

“Just so kind and patient. Very knowledgeable and helpful. I had a last minute request and I got an answer right away. I got frequent updates and pictures along with some training tips and just an overall great communication. Will be booking with Denys and only Denys again. :)”

“Luke took care of our two little doggos and also my in-law’s dog. Though there was some complexity with drop off due to the home being in a gated community, Luke kept in touch and was quite flexible about adapting to changes in our schedule. We were traveling for a funeral and his kindness and accommodations were very much appreciated. The doggos came home happy and clearly well cared for.”

“Alex and his family were wonderful to Ellie. It was her first time ever staying away from a family member taking care of her. The photos that were sent were amazing and communication was fabulous. We would highly recommend Alexander to take care of your puppers!”

“We usually take our dogs, Cleo and Louis, with us everywhere, so leaving them behind for a week while we were in the Virgin Islands wasn’t easy—but Sam made it such a smooth and comforting experience. She took amazing care of them, showing so much affection and attention. When we picked them up, they were calm, content, and clearly felt secure and loved in her home. It honestly felt like they belonged there. We’re so grateful to Sam and her family for the genuine care they provided. We will definitely be booking with her again in the future!”

“Linda was absolutely amazing taking care of Dante and Amora. She went above and beyond, especially with Amora, who can be quite picky with her food. Linda took the time to find creative ways and options to make sure Amora was eating well, which gave us so much peace of mind. Both dogs were clearly happy, well cared for, and loved while we were away. It’s not easy to find someone you can fully trust with your pets, but Linda exceeded all expectations. We highly recommend her and will definitely book with her again!”

“Another great visit for our girl. We normally take our dog with us when we travel to family and friends, but this past few days we were going on a college visit in NC and Lucy wasn’t able to come. Being able to let her stay with Judi and Al is such a huge relief! They genuinely love our girl as their own, I also am thankful for the updates of their activities and included pictures. I NEVER worry about her AT ALL while she is staying with them. I do worry that she won’t want to come home with us when it’s time to pick her up, 😀. Thank you Judi and Al for another great experience.”

“Mimi is so Wonderful, Buttercup made herself at home as if she has know Mini for years. She informed me during buttercups stay and took such wonderful and loving care gif her. Thank you so much !!”

We left our puppy with Jerarlin for the first time yesterday. He seemed to have a great time and came home happy and tired! lol I imagine that was from all the playing he did while he was there. Communication was great and I really appreciated the pictures and updates Jerarlin sent us. I would definitely leave Theo with her again in the future.
We highly recommend Judi! First time leaving our Cavapoo and Judi did an amazing job of loving her and sending pictures often. We felt very relaxed knowing she was taking good care of her. She walked her often and kept us updated on how she was doing. Thank you sooo much Judi!!!

Kimberly was wonderful taking care of Ruby (a Corgi/CattleDog mix) over the Christmas Holidays. She sent great pictures & updates so I could relax knowing Ruby was comfortable and in good hands. Kimberly was also very understanding as bad weather delayed my flight and planned pick up time. I would recommend highly for future stays.

Samantha is great. She sent pictures of our dog (Max) during his stay and was communicative regarding any questions she had about him. Max loved to play with her dog Oliver and they got along great. She is very caring and we felt comfortable with Max staying with Samantha while we were away.

Peyton was amazing! She took such great care of my dog, Zeus, and he absolutely loved her. From the moment they met, I could tell he was in great hands. Peyton was super communicative and sent plenty of updates and photos, which made me feel completely at ease while I was away. I came home to a very happy pup! I’ll definitely be booking with Peyton again — highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and reliable sitter!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
