“Carol Ann was an exceptional caregiver for our dog, Oreo. She was always checking in with us every day and sending us videos and/or pictures of Oreo. She also went above and beyond taking care of our home during a storm that came through ensuring our patio/porches were secured. We came back very late due to flight delays and she stayed late just to ensure Oreo was cared for until we got home. We would highly recommend Carol Ann to care and sit for your pet.”

About: I absolutely adore animals. I love dogs and cats equally, I also have experience owning/caring for rodents and fish. I worked at a vet for a while so I have experience with animal care along with medicine distribution. I’m open to any hours of the day!l I’m very flexible when it comes to same day visits. Just contact me and I’ll work you right into my schedule! I always approach an animal with caution and care, I allow the animal to sniff my hand first and let them approach me. I am careful when reading their body language and I am adamant about respecting an animal’s boundaries.
“Donna did a wonderful looking after my 2 labradors. She didn't hesitate to reach out if she had a question and sent me photos of the dogs every day. Professional, caring, on-time. I'd recommend her to anyone and definitely use her again.”

“Sabrina was a great sitter and took good care of our senior dog well while we were gone for a week. She sent cute photos and daily updates, as well as took care of some tasks at home while we were away. We highly recommend her and her would hire her again!”

“Ernest was wonderful with my 2 Senior dogs! They were calm and happy when I got home after a weeklong business trip. He stayed in my home with both of my pups and did a great job with everything. THANK YOU ERNEST!!”

“Anthony is unbelievable! He is the dog whisperer. Our dog Elvis loves him! We couldn’t be happier with the care and attention Anthony gave to him. He stayed in our home and took care of it like his own. We are so happy that we were blessed to find him.”

“Wow! Katherine was Amazing! Great personality and she kept me informed and went the extra mile! She was on time, super nice, and Luna seemed so happy when we got home! She will definitely be my go to person! So don’t book her, because she’s all mine! lol! Just kidding!”

“Terry was great! We were visiting Florida from out of town and needed a sitter for 8+ hours with fairly short notice. Our sweet pup isn't always a fan of strangers - especially when we're leaving him with them. Terry was able to win him over - and even sent me a video of her giving him a belly rub! Not only was she willing to stay with him the entire time, but she brought him two toys - one being a stuffed alligator which has become his favorite since we've returned home! Terry clearly loves animals and I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for someone to spoil their pet while they're away - she's Dudley approved!”

“Shay is the absolute best! She stayed at our house for a week taking care of our four pets. She clearly loves animals, and it shows in how comfortable they were with her from the start. Shay sent photos and updates every day, was extremely responsive, took great care of our home, and even left Christmas presents for our two dogs. We weren’t stressed at all while we were away knowing she was staying at our place. We will definitely reach out again to invite her back!!”

“Misty was great with my golden retriever, understanding with my touch bases, and left incredibly detailed notes for the night she watched him in my home. She was clean and respectful, and she adored my puppy with lots of love. Would recommend her for anyone considering her services, and I’m looking forward to booking another a trip with her looking over my fur baby.”

“Matt was great with our doggos. Both dogs have separation anxiety, but he was able to work with them and make sure they were comfortable. He sent multiple pictures throughout the day that just confirmed they were in the right hands.”
“KayLynn was awesome as usual! She bailed us out with a very short notice request with our niece coming to visit! Took great care of our furry children and of course our home. We recommend her most highly!”

“Megan was a pleasure to meet and she spoke highly about the Rover service and helped answer questions I had, as this was my first time using. I Highly recommend, Megan and the Rover service. She sent photos and took great care of my ESS, Ghia. I will always request her first - and I was very happy with the Rover service too.”

About: Hi, my name is Denny! I began caring for pups on Rover at the encouragement of a good friend as a way to heal the hole left in my heart when my beloved BearBear crossed the rainbow bridge in 2022. Caring for dogs has truly become a source of comfort, joy, and purpose for me. I work from home, so your fur baby will always receive individualized love, attention, and companionship. Each guest may stay in their own private room or alongside me, depending on their comfort level and your preferences. My four-bedroom home is lovingly shared with your pet—think of it as visiting their favorite auntie, an empty nester with plenty of time, space, and affection to give. I live in a beautiful, dog-friendly neighborhood for daily walks and have a huge fenced yard for safe roaming and play. During their stay, your pet will also meet my sweet pup, Jinger (a Bichon Poodle). There may be other guests from time to time, but to avoid stress or behavioral challenges, dogs only interact if they are similar in size, well-socialized, and have compatible temperaments. Every guest receives one-on-one time for playing, walking, eating, and relaxing—without worrying about sharing toys, food, or attention. My goal is to create a calm, low-anxiety environment where your dog never feels territorial, overwhelmed, or uncertain. I also honor your preferences regarding crates. While I do have crates available, I choose not to close them. Instead, they are kept open with pillows and blankets so they feel like a comfortable “safe space,” not a form of confinement. BearBear always viewed his crate as his home—not a punishment—and that philosophy continues here. Your pet will be treated like family, surrounded by love, patience, and genuine care every step of the way. Hi! I’m fortunate to work from home, which allows me to give your fur baby plenty of attention, care, and companionship throughout the day. Lots of playtime in my yard, on the lanai, or just running around the house. Your pet will never feel bored or overlooked here!

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Lady Lake
This was our fist experience using Rover, and we were a bit apprehensive about having someone stay at our house with our dog. We chose Hailey based on her experience, description, and reviews. We couldn't be more please with her. She was responsive to our inquiries and listened carefully to our needs. Every interaction was professional and she asked good questions. Once we met her, we knew we made a great choice. She kept us updated during her stay with Macro, and managed the house well while we were gone, again asking questions for anything sure was unsure about. Macro clearly was happy and enjoyed his time with her. We appreciated the pics and videos of their interaction. I think he wondered why she didn't come back the evening after we returned. I can't say enough positive about her, and we wouldn't hesitate using her again as the need arises.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Lady Lake walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Lady Lake maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Lady Lake choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

- 99% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
