About: Since high school, I've looked after small and big dogs alike. Friends and family have depended on me to take care of their dogs for both short and long trips. The biggest dog I've taken care of is a Labrador mix. High energy dogs are not a problem! I'm capable of spending quite a bit of time outside either on a walk or in a backyard. I've spent time around young dogs and puppies so if there are specific boundaries that need to be enforced, I'm capable of continuing the boundaries and rules so there isn't a lapse in their training. I'm currently in a work from home position, so I have a fluid schedule. I'm able to adjust my schedule to accommodate a wide variety of times. Early mornings are not out of the question, I just need enough time to adjust daily tasks to accommodate them. Mornings and evenings are the easiest times to fit in at the moment. All animals are given specific care that meets their individual needs. I try to ensure that I give ample time to any visit to ensure anything from outdoor time to spending one-on-one time is given to each and every animal. I refrain from wearing anything with a strong perfume/scent and hand creams are never worn around someone else's pets. If I'm looking after puppies or younger dogs, I try to ensure nothing that they could chew on is left in their reach, including shoes and bags. The only food animals receive from me are the pet foods their owners want them to have. I have a very strict rule that 'people food' is never given to animals in my care. Begging and puppy dog eyes have no effect on me! If it's required for the health of animals, I have no problem doing light cleaning such as vacuuming or dusting. One of my current pets has a sensitivities to some allergens, so I understand it's important to keep a clean environment for them.
