“Susan has repeatedly cared for our dog Mossy in our home and brought her into her home for longer visits. She tends to Mossy's mastif needs with great care, including daily walks, her specific meal needs, giving oral medications, putting in her ear drops, and playtime with all of her many toys. She manages to keep Mossy calm when she gets anxiety from separation or storms. I would highly recommend her to any dog lover!”
About: I have always had animals in my life my entire life. My first job was at a dog kennel as a kennel attendant. My family has even fostered animals and helped them find their forever homes. I currently work for the Humane Society. I am currently a part time college student, but I will have plenty of time with your fur babies. Willing to make yours and my schedule work. At the moment I am not accepting animals at my home, but I am willing to go to client's homes to care for their fur babies. Anywhere from letting them outside to play and go for walks to making sure they have food, water, and a clean bed to relax in.

About: I have fur baby myself, an American Pit bull named Pooh Shiesty. I cared for him since a pup and I would love to spend more time with your pets. I have pet sit for a couple of family friends pets, so I have experience walking, feeding, and handling animals. I work part time, as well as being in school full time. I have pretty flexible schedule that allows me to work mornings and afternoons Mon, Wed, and Fri as well as sometimes on the weekends. I am also comfortable with going wherever your pet is most comfortable that fits their schedule and needs.
“Gage and Ann were amazing and helped me out last minute. They were very prompt, great communicators, and clearly showed a lot of love to my pup, I could see it on my camera, which gave me total peace of mind. Overall, a great experience and I would absolutely book with them again!”

About: I have owned a pit bull for the past five years, so I fully understand the energy and responsibility that can come with caring for a strong and spirited dog. In addition to this, I’ve had the opportunity to care for a variety of other breeds, including a Chihuahua, Golden Retriever, and several Labradors. Each one has been a joy to look after—friendly, affectionate, and full of personality. By the end of the day, they were happy, well-exercised, and ready to rest. I am currently a college student with a flexible schedule. My mornings and evenings are consistently available, while my afternoon availability can vary from day to day. However, I am reliably available for morning and evening care every day, if needed. I will walk your dog only in the areas you designate and for the distance you are comfortable with. I also carry a backup leash in case of emergency, as well as waste bags to ensure the area is kept clean.

About: Hi! I’m an experienced and reliable dog walker with a genuine love for animals and a passion for providing safe, attentive care. I’ve worked with dogs of all breeds, sizes, ages, and personalities—from energetic puppies who love adventure to senior dogs who need a slower pace and extra patience. I understand that every dog is unique, so I take time to learn their routines, personality, and individual needs to make sure they feel comfortable and happy. My goal is to give your dog not only exercise, but also companionship, attention, and a positive experience while you’re away. I’m dependable, patient, and committed to treating every dog like family. Safety is always my top priority, and I believe in positive reinforcement, consistency, and building trust with both pets and owners. You can count on regular updates and communication so you can feel confident knowing your furry friend is in caring hands. I look forward to meeting you and your pup and becoming someone both of you can rely on! I don’t have a daily routine or pets of my own at this time, I have learned that pet care becomes a set of repeating rhythms spread across the day rather than one big task. A typical routine often looks like this: * Morning: feeding, fresh water, a walk or litter-box cleanup, and a quick check that the pet seems normal in energy and behavior. * During the day: exercise, play, mental stimulation, bathroom breaks, and attention that matches the animal’s needs. * Evening: another meal if needed, more activity or bonding time, grooming for some pets, and preparing a comfortable sleep setup. * Less frequent tasks: brushing, nail trims, cleaning habitats or bedding, training, medications, and vet appointments. Different pets shift the balance a lot. A dog may anchor your day around walks and exercise, while a cat may need shorter play sessions and litter maintenance. Good home pet care usually includes consistent food and fresh water, regular exercise and play, a clean living space, grooming, and attention to health and behavior. Dogs often need walks and training; cats need litter-box maintenance and play. I also watch for changes in appetite, energy, or behavior because those can be early signs that something is off.

About: I've always been a dog lover. We have had experience watching our family and friends dogs for periods of time, prior to joining Rover. We grew up with dogs and have had pets all of our lives. I currently own a miniature dachshund named Mushu. I take watching your dog seriously. It’s important that they are cared for, loved, safe, and most importantly that they have fun. Because they are on vacation too! They'll have free rein of my apartment with plenty of room to play and places to curl up and nap. I don't have any kids and only board one dog at a time, so your pup's "vacation" can be as stress-free as possible! I live near lots of walking paths and enjoy going on long walks myself, so if your dog can walk (or even run) for 2-4 miles at a time, then we can certainly do that! If not, we can stay closer to home for some short walks or hanging out in several large grassy areas close by. I love taking lots of pictures of my furry sleepovers, and will be happy to send you updates and pics as often as you like while you are away! We look forward to having the opportunity to watch your furry family member.
About: I used to live on a farm and have all kinds of animals. I have loved and cared for animals all my life. I am ready to care for your animals too! I work from home, so I have the flexibility to check in on your pets as needed. Making a schedule that fits your needs, is my priority! I’m very trustworthy and reliable. I’ll leave things the same way, or better than I found it. I’ll care for your little loves as if they were mine.

About: I’ve had dogs and cats ever since I could remember, many are astounded at the bond I can create with different animals, and I intend to continue showing each one a tremendous amount of love and care that every pet deserves. I’m currently working part-time which gives me lots of valuable time to spend with your pets! I am available most days besides Thursdays between 5:30pm-9:00pm and Sundays between 12:00pm-3:30pm. I can provide whatever your dog may need within your home such as walking them or letting them o ur side if you have a fenced in yard. I can also crate them as well if you prefer, whatever is best for your furry family member.
About: Hi! I'm someone who truly loves being around dogs and caring for them like they're family. I’ve had plenty of experience walking, boarding, and spending quality time with dogs of all sizes and personalities. Whether it’s a daily walk, weekend stay, or just some daytime play and snuggles, I make sure every pup feels safe, happy, and loved while you're away. I work remotely so your fur babies won’t spend too much time alone, if any. This also allows me flexibility to cater to your pets needs whether it be fun activities, long walks, or couch snuggles. When I'm home I have a fenced yard for your pups to run around in or they can hang inside. Nothing is off limits to the fur kids in terms of sofas or beds. I have also spent time at client's home and am always clean and organized. I leave places as clean as I find them, if not cleaner.

“Jennifer is amazing and takes care of my Lacey as if she is her own! Lacey actual makes gleeful noises when she knows Jennifer is about to arrive! Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
