About: We are a retired couple who truly enjoys having pets around and being able to give them the attention, love, and care they deserve. Since we are home all the time, your pets will have plenty of companionship and supervision throughout their stay. We have almost half an acre of fully fenced yard, giving dogs plenty of safe space to play, explore, and relax. We also have experience caring for both dogs and cats. For our feline guests, we have a special cat area with a fun tunnel and plenty of space, designed to help cats feel comfortable, entertained, and happy during their stay. Most importantly, we believe pets deserve personalized attention rather than being treated like they are in a kennel. That's why we accept a maximum of only 2 pets per booking per night. This allows us to give each pet the individual care, attention, and affection they need. Our goal is simple: to provide a safe, peaceful, spacious, and loving home where your pet can feel comfortable while you are away. Pet care is an important part of my daily routine and something I genuinely enjoy. I organize my schedule around the pets I care for to ensure they receive plenty of attention, playtime, walks, and rest. Since I only accept a maximum of 3 pets at a time for boarding or daycare, I’m able to give each one the personalized care they deserve. This also helps me create a calm and safe environment, especially for smaller dogs, as it prevents them from feeling overwhelmed or at risk around larger or more energetic pets. Safety, trust, and a welcoming environment are at the core of how we care for pets in our home. Our spacious, half-acre fenced yard ensures your pets have a secure and safe space to play, explore, and relax. We take great pride in creating a calm, loving atmosphere where pets feel at ease. As a retired couple, we're home all the time, which means your pet will never be left alone for long periods. With our experience caring for a variety of animals, we focus on building trust and making sure each pet is comfortable, happy, and well-looked after. You can rest assured knowing that we treat your pets like they are our own, offering a safe, caring environment while they’re in our care.

About: I have always had pets growing up as a child and my love for them has grown into my adulthood even more. My experience in pet care is from living on a farm and having pets since I was 6 years old (Dogs, cats, horses, cows, rabbits, geese, chickens, ducks, turtles, fish, peacocks). Being a lifelong animal lover, I appreciate their distinct personalities and understand the importance of trusting someone to care for your "kids". I want you to feel confident leaving them with me and know that they are safe and comfortable. I have done work for VOCAL (Voices of Change Animal League) and have been involved with the Humane Society. I enjoy being a part of such wonderful organizations that help animals who need a little extra care. One of the best benefits of working from home is being able to structure my day so it meshes with my pet care lifestyle. I schedule walk breaks so your fur baby and I can get out for a breath of fresh air throughout the workday. I have a secure vinyl fenced back yard and screened in lanai. Our home has security doors and windows and the entire property is monitored by security cameras. I have 4 adult inside rescue cats that are more like my children. If by chance your fur baby doesn't get along with other pets, my cats have their own space away from visitors. I have a dedicated room if your pet needs private space or time to adjust.

About: I’ve been caring for animals for over 15 years. I speak fluent Spanish! I’ve raised my dog Zoso since I was 14 when she was a puppy, she recently passed away at 17 years old so having other dogs around makes me so happy. I also have two cats who are young, orange, and friendly, and I own horses, so I’m experienced with pets of all sizes and personalities. Friends, neighbors, and family have trusted me to walk, feed, bathe, and care for their pets, and I treat every animal as if they were my own. I am an expert on giving medication too from having a senior dog for many years! What sets me apart is my reliability, genuine love for animals, and the peace of mind I give owners knowing their pets are safe, comfy and happy. I spend most of the time at home working remotely so they will get all my attention! I currently work part-time from home, which gives me plenty of time and flexibility to care for pets during the week and weekends. I’m available for walks, drop ins, and boarding. I love spending time playing with animals, giving them attention, and making sure they feel comfortable while their owners are away. I provide a safe and comfortable environment where pets are treated like my own. I have a private yard linked to trails that I walk daily, and I’d love to bring your dog along for exercise and fresh air. Most importantly, I always follow the owner’s instructions closely to make sure every pet feels secure, comfortable with routine, and well cared for!

About: What sets me apart from other sitters is my experience caring for pets in every stage of life and with a variety of unique needs. I’ve cared for newborn kittens, expecting mother cats, and senior cats with anxiety, so I understand the patience and individualized attention they require. I also have a special interest in large working breeds and enjoy providing the structure, enrichment, and care they thrive on. In addition to dogs and cats, I have experience caring for farm animals. I’m highly attentive, reliable, and committed to following your pet’s routine as closely as possible. Every pet is different, so I take the time to listen to your needs and provide flexible, personalized care to help both you and your pet feel comfortable and confident. Pet care fits seamlessly into my daily routine because I have the flexibility to create my own schedule. This allows me to dedicate the time and attention each pet deserves, whether it’s sticking to a specific routine, providing midday visits, or accommodating last-minute requests whenever possible. I enjoy making pet care a priority and ensuring every pet receives reliable, personalized care. I will care for your pets in the comfort of their own home, where they can feel safe and relaxed in their familiar environment. My goal is to learn each pet’s unique routine, personality, and preferences so I can provide the love, attention, and care they deserve. About: My name is Emma, and I have over a decade of experience caring for both dogs and cats, personally and professionally! I love animals, they’re such gifts, and I would love to help you with your special family member! I’ve trained dogs in both obedience and hunting professionally, as well as rescuing and adopting a cat personally, so I’m experienced caring for and loving both our canine and feline friends! I stay at home now, and would love to help you care for your furry companions! I’m currently staying at home, so while I always make sure to shower my little cat with love, I have plenty of time and flexibility throughout the workday to help care for your furry family members! This includes making sure they have plenty of playtime, long walks for our canine friends, and plenty of stimulation, as well as a clean environment (scoop litter boxes, make sure food/water are distributed appropriately, etc)! Each fur baby has different needs! I believe that owners know best, so my first step is to see what you want for your furry companion in terms of care! I love going on long walks, so happy to get plenty of exercise in with dogs, as well as letting them off leash (with explicit owner permission) within a fenced area! With our feline friends, I’m vigilant about doors, ensuring they don’t sneak out, and also love playing with them, and providing mental simulation!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
