“Great services, highly knowledgeable, and will send lots of cute pictures of your dog to check in! Highly recommend booking with her, just don’t take all the time slots 😆”

“Nina was amazing. We felt completely comfortable with her watching our 2 pups. We love knowing they got lots of outside time, play, and snuggles. She also sent us lots of pictures and updates.”

“Another great sit with Adam! I think milo enjoys himself and the socialization he gets with Adam is good for her nervous personality. I get daily updates and photos which I appreciate! We will continue to book with Adam whenever he is available for Milo!”

“Anas and Tate are truly exceptional— they treated Kaine and Lyuba like family with so much care and attention. Always reliable, thoughtful, and communicative. We appreciate them sending updates, videos and pictures. We feel completely at ease knowing our fur babies are in such compassionate, responsible, and capable hands.”

“We had Terra watch our puppy Stella while we were at a family gathering. It was our first time leaving her since we’ve gotten her and I was so anxious. Terra made it so easy and made my anxiety go away! We were able to meet before I dropped Stella off so that Stella could meet her and make sure it was a good fit. When I dropped her off Stella was already so excited to play and I knew we picked the right lady! She sent me updates and pictures all day and it made being away so much better, I’m so grateful for Terra and will use her any and every time we have to leave Stella! Thank you times a million for everything!!!”
“I’m so thankful for Vanessa! She was able to take in Marshall very last minute and watch him for the whole weekend. She was great at sending pictures and updates of him throughout the weekend too. He loved it and came home a happy dog!”

About: I not only grew up around dogs, but I’ve worked in animal shelters and a pet resort, where I was responsible for the needs of dogs and cats. I earned 44 hours of volunteer work at the Humane Society in St. Thomas, U.S.V.I., where I gave tours to potential dog owners. I worked at Pet Suites and LifeLine, where I ensured all pets received their food and/or medicine in a timely manner. I have fostered dogs for Angels Among Us and found homes for all of them. I also take an interest in dog training. I’m not a licensed trainer, but I enjoy teaching dogs manners and tricks. I have availability on Friday-Sunday. I’m very organized and plan my schedule carefully to ensure every pet receives the time, care, and consistency they deserve. I live in a pet-friendly apartment with other dog neighbors. There’s a lot of grass surrounding the complex. While at work, I prefer letting dogs roam unless they need to be in a crate.
“High quality sitters, I’m a repeat customer and I am always impressed with their work! Great communication and obvious effort and care to my puppy’s needs.”

“Paola was absolutely amazing! She took such great care of my baby and gave me complete peace of mind while I was away. She kept me updated with photos and messages, and it was clear my pup was happy, comfortable, and well loved the entire time. When I got home, my dog was relaxed and clearly had a wonderful experience. I would 100% trust Paola again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and attentive pet sitter. Thank you so much, Paola!”

“Great with my high energy pup. She makes sure that every stay is safe and fun for the dogs. Bonus points for giving my dog a slow feeder puzzle with pumpkin puree. Great communicator, responsible and punctual. She really cares for your dogs as if it were her own.”

“This sitter was so friendly and reliable! Your pet will be in good hands with him. My pup had a blast with his family and came home as happy as ever. He is very attentive and sends lots of pictures and updates throughout the stay. He was also very helpful in accommodating our dogs dietary concerns and food. Definitely recommend him!”

“These two are simply awesome. They loved my dog and my dog loved them. They are very diligent, experienced with animals, and very friendly. The accommodations were wonderful highly recommend.”

“We are very pleased with the care Axel received at Shalom's. Not only did she send us regular reports about how he was doing, she even included pictures! We can't thank her enough.”

“Autumn was awesome. Our Sealia had an awesome time and was spoiled. I highly recommend Autumn’s services. Great price and flexibility makes her an awesome choice.”

“Autumn was great. She communicated clearly throughout the whole booking process and gave me updates of my dogs' behavior throughout his stay. Will definitely be using her again!”

“Kimberly is amazing. She treats Leo like one of her own and he is always so happy and tired when he comes home. She is a great communicator and you get cute pictures of your happy pup regularly. She is very available and I have used her multiple times and will continue!”
About: I always had cats growing up and have been a dog sitter for friends/family the past eight years. I’ve had a pup of my own for four years now and can’t imagine my life without her. I treat animals like children and understand how important it is to take care of others’ pets to their standard and beyond! I am a full-time teacher leaving my availability more limited during the school year but I am extremely open during the summer (unless I’m already booked). I do need a bit of notice but am willing to work out a plan at the last minute if possible! House sitting/Drop-Ins: I will always treat your home and belongings with the utmost respect. I’m a firm believer in leaving the home as clean or even cleaner than when I entered it. I will ensure your fur baby’s daily routine is met with careful attention to detail and comfort! Boarding: I have a fenced in backyard and a fur baby of my own to help keep yours company (but let’s do a meet and greet to make sure they get along to ensure their safety)! We love going on walks around the neighborhood, playing fetch in the backyard, hanging out inside in the AC during the hotter months, and cuddling on the couch. Sally is my only dog (Beatles is my sister’s and stays with Sally during our joint vacations). Sally is crate trained for anxiety while alone, so as a safety measure, you are required to bring a crate for your dog when boarding. Dogs will only be crated when we aren’t home. My husband will also help out with your fur baby at times, so if you’d like to meet him too, just let me know! :)

Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Alachua home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
