About: I’ve been pet sitting for friends, neighbors, and family for over 4 years, caring for pets of all sizes and personalities. From energetic puppies to gentle seniors, I provide walks, playtime, feeding, and plenty of love. I also have experience caring for cats, birds and fishes making sure they feel comfortable and safe with feeding. Pet parents can trust me to treat their pets like family and give them the same care and attention they’re used to at home. I’m a freshman in college! All my classes are online so I have plenty of time on my hands! I currently am not working. I provide pet care directly in my home. I follow your routines closely, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, and any special instructions. I’m careful with doors, gates, and leashes to keep pets secure, and I give updates so you always know how your furry family member is doing. My priority is treating your home and pets with the same respect and care as if they were my own.

“Rachel is one of the best sitters I’ve had for Eli. She sent multiple photos and updates every day, took him on several walks, and even found a dog he’d play with, which is rare for him. She was flexible when my plans changed, and I’d definitely book again. She knows dogs!”

“Brynn was responsive, communicative, and easy to work with. Gucci and Prada had a great time with Brynn and her housemates, including Kuna! They were very tired and dirty (which is great coz we know that they were playing alot on the backyard :)”
About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats for the last 18 years, since I was six years old! I understand that pets are members of the family, and I will treat your pets with care and compassion! I can walk, run, play or do whatever is necessary to make your pets happy! I work from home with flexibility, so I am available at most hours of the day to walk. In the evenings, I am free whenever for home stays. I can care for pets in my clients homes. There is a potential they can stay in my home for short stays as well, which is in a peaceful, residential neighborhood.

About: I have grown up with dogs and cats. I want to help you with whatever you need, and make things easier and comfortable. I am able to follow specific instructions, and do whatever is needed to welcome the pet into my home or at make them comfortable at yours. I am currently looking for work opportunities, so I am home often/most of the day, so I will be able to play and hang with your animals for a bit, or be with them often if they are at mine. I take care of my animals everyday so it is not a big deal to add an extra. I have a fenced in back yard to let the dogs run free and three dogs and a cat at home. They will have at least one play partner to hang with them (the other two are a bit more reserved, but are good with others) or if you would like them separated, that is also okay. I am also able to walk the dogs if they need more exercise than just running around. I am willing to come to you if that is preferred and let your pets out or walk them. I do have a spare cage that can be used for your pet if you forget yours.
Dog parents share their Rover experiences - West Hills
Vanessa is an excellent caregiver. My dog Zeus spent several days with her when he was still recovering from surgery and had some stitches. She was attentive to his medical, emotional and nutritional needs, kept me up to date with everything and Zeus had a wonderful time playing with his furry friends and the family. He was full of love and kept a bright smile the entire time. I am very thankful for Vanessa’s support.

Nicholas was able to help me out on short notice, which I really appreciated! He was a great communicator and made the whole process easy and stress-free. Kodiak had a great time with him, and I would definitely recommend Nicholas to anyone looking for a reliable dog sitter!

Brenda and her family are absolutely amazing. Brenda sent me multiple pictures throughout the entire stay and I appreciated that so much. My pet son is a little high maintenance (because of me haha) but Brenda was so patient with him. I 100% recommend for everyone to use her services!

Autumn exceeded every expectation! She was incredibly responsive from the moment we reached out, making the booking process easy and stress-free. After drop-off, anytime I sent a message, she responded quickly, and sent lots of photos and updates of Sparky that we absolutely loved receiving. Most importantly, it was obvious that Sparky was getting so much love and attention in her care. Every picture showed a happy dog, and we felt completely confident that she was being treated like part of the family. The only downside to leaving this review is that more people will discover how wonderful Autumn is, and she might not be available the next time we need her! We would book with Autumn again in a heartbeat.

I would happily leave my dog Gordon with Halle again. She gave him a lot of attention and time to play. She was also quick to respond to me and helpful in accommodating a last-minute request. I appreciate that she has carefully reviewed the care instructions. She is a great dog sitter!

Kaylee was fantastic with Freya! Leaving your dog with someone new is always a little nerve wracking, but she put my mind at ease immediately. She was reliable, communicative, and sent regular updates with photos throughout the stay. It was clear from the photos that Freya was happy, relaxed, and well cared for. I’ll definitely be booking with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy, caring sitter.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their West Hills home-away-from-home, packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your West Hills.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your West Hills sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
