Pet care experience

Large fenced yard, dogs are family!

My brother and I work from home, so your fur baby will get plenty of love and attention throughout their stay! I’ve cared for dogs for over 10 years, to include caring for senior dogs through end of life care. During the day I’m a special education tutor, so have tons of patience and empathy! I’m comfortable administering medication, caring for hot spots or other treatments to vet orders, and keeping a watchful eye while you’re away!

Schedule

Part time tutor, part time studying for law school, so your pup will get plenty of belly scratches and one on one attention. My dog loves being around other four legged friends, so they will have a built in bestie to run around with (or just sit around with). I either work from home or have two hour sessions with my clients. My brother lives with me, so someone will almost always be around to let the dogs out and give them plenty of love and attention.

Safety, trust & environment

I have a fenced in backyard, with one playful and sweet young dog who loves everyone she meets. We are a very dog focused household, and are in the process of installing a doggy door so the pups can go in/out as they please (when we are home, it will be locked when out running errands).

Pets

A typical day

The day starts with Libby doing her jumps and twirls in the day excited to run her morning laps around the backyard. She occasionally gets distracted with that darn squirrel who taunts her from the top of our fence. She will undoubtedly attempt to get your pup to join in on her shenanigans (such as running laps around the trailer, and exploring all the fun spots in the backyard. We play ball for a bit and then head inside for breakfast. After breakfast, Libby digs through her toy bins and comes to remind me that I’m not allowed to work for longer than a few minutes without giving belly rubs or playing with her toys. She lays on the couch while I’m working on the computer. Libby usually presses her “outside potty” button, and we head outside to get some Vitamin D. At this point, she’s usually tuckered and will take a nap while I head out. I’m usually gone for no longer than 2-3 hours at a time and will make sure all of your pups needs are met right before leaving, and upon my return. My brother will usually play ball with her outside and give the pups plenty of attention and playtime. Dinner time happens, and then we all hang out in the living room with the pups. Before bed, we go outside for one more play session, and then grab a snack (chicken foot, freeze dried sardines or salmon bits, strawberries, or peanut butter) and then head to bed. I would love to say my dog uses her fancy bed, however prefers to be cuddled up on the pillow beside me. Your pup will most likely be right beside her, however will have their bed in the room in case they need their space.
