“Great services, highly knowledgeable, and will send lots of cute pictures of your dog to check in! Highly recommend booking with her, just don’t take all the time slots 😆”

“Adam is great with my dog, Zena. She has stayed with him several times, and he always goes above and beyond to make sure she has what she needs. We'll continue to do stays with Adam.”

About: (¡Español es mi primer idioma, por si se te hace más cómodo/fácil hablarme en español!) • SATURDAYS ARE FOR FREE!! As a seventh-day adventist I observe the Sabbath, so I do not charge for Saturdays. However, I challenge you to use that money to help someone in need!🙏🏻 Drop off by Friday night: 100% off Drop off on Saturday 7am-11am: 50% off Drop off on Saturday 12pm-5pm: 25% off • There is an extra $5 charge for high energy dogs (meaning dogs that require constant/frequent attention, supervision and/or stimulation). Right now I'm preparing myself for a professional certification so I'd rather not be constantly interrupted and this is the condition I can provide to help you out. • 8 nights or more are $23/night (first adult dog) • 1 dog + 1 cat $30/night • $17/day (first dog) for 3 days or more of weekly daycare. Daycare is closed on Saturdays. • I encourage last-minute bookings! If your pet is socialized there shouldn't be any problem. In any case we'll talk about the details and I'll see if I can help you out💪🏻 • Important! Please, let me know of your pet's misbehaviors before booking. I'd really appreciate your honesty, especially if it's a last-minute booking. • Both my apartment and the surrounding neighborhood are very quiet and peaceful. There's a lot of green areas AND a small dog park where they can walk (or run) freely! • Your pet will be part of the family while they're here! They'll receive frequent attention and love if they need it or simple constant caring company if they just want that. • Cats are more than welcome! We love cats too—especially my mom. And don't worry about my dog; he has been surrounded by cats since birth, so he simply ignores them. I occasionally need sitters myself so I know how hard it is to find one that's not painfully expensive AND that you're comfortable with. That's why I want to provide the experience I'd love to receive myself: an affordable care for your pets IN COMBINATION with the most approachable and relaxed atmosphere for you as possible, ESPECIALLY if you're going away for weeks and if you have multiple pets! Let's face it. You're only looking for someone who'd simply be there and take care of them because there's no other option. You'd do it yourself if you could! So shouldn't you find sitters that make you (and your wallet!) feel at peace with leaving your loving companion behind? That's why I'm here to help! A pet parent for pet parents =) I am at home every day, all day long—except when I go out for groceries, which takes no more than two hours. Aside from that, I stay present and keep myself busy in the apartment. I cook, exercise, read, and am currently also studying for a professional certification. I don't have any visitors, nor do I go out for anything else. I moved in a few months ago. Here there's only my dog Mylo, my mother and me. • All of your pet's physical and emotional needs will be met—that is my absolute priority, including their absolute safety. • Regarding male and/or bigger dogs, since my dog is a bit picky at first with some of them, it may be necessary a 5-10 minute 'Parallel Walk' at the meet & greet. We'll just walk around the pond in front of the apartment 1 or 2 times. It’s the safest way to make sure both dogs are 100% comfortable before they share a home. Only then we'll know if I can accept your doggie. • Hey, we all want this to work out but if the dogs don't like it, well....that's why we do the meet and greet: to know if the choice fits everyone involved and choose accordingly🙏🏻 • I would NEVER intentionally harm an animal. I'd never lay even a finger on pets (to discipline them) that do not belong to me. • I never give human food to pets. Occasionally, I share certain fruits with my own dog (specifically those that are safe and non-toxic for them) or, occasionally, a boiled egg; aside from that, nothing else. BUT, your pet will strictly follow the diet you specify. • I clean the bowl and pour fresh filtered water daily. • I have set my account available to no more than 2 pets at a time; however, if you wish to ensure that your pet is the *only* one in my care (other than Mylo I mean) during their stay (for your own peace of mind), I can arrange it for a small additional fee. It is worth noting that, regardless of the number of pets present, I guarantee that I can manage their interactions appropriately, as I am always at home. • If the pet has socialization issues to the point I'm not able to serve other pet parents, that might incur in additional fees. • I operate with complete transparency, and my mission here is to serve you—to be your assistant and EXACTLY the help you're looking for right now. I'll provide as regular communication as you need and pictures of your blessing daily. My goal is your peace of mind and their comfort! • I encourage you to ask me whatever else you need to know!
“Luna had so much fun that she didn’t want to leave! I also appreciate Alex for creating a safe, comfortable environment for Luna to hang out with other dogs without being overwhelmed 🐾”

“This was the perfect place for my dog! She is very nervous and shy but got along well with their two little dogs. I got lots of pictures and updates and felt very confident that she was happy and safe. She is very picky about which humans she trusts so it means a lot that her first Rover experience was so amazing.”

“Joseph took great care of our dog, Poppy. His entire family showed Poppy love & kindness the entire time we were away. I would highly recommend this sitter as your next go to!”

“Lindsay did a great job taking care of our two pups! She is very friendly & our dogs warmed right up to her. She was also great at communicating & asking questions to make sure that she was meeting our pups needs.”

“Michelle and Heidi were the sweetest sitters! They took great care of our 1-year-old pup, sent us photos and videos, were super responsive, and most importantly, when we came to pick him up, he seemed happier than ever! Their living room is stocked with dog toys, and their home is quiet, calm, pet-safe, and has plenty of space for dogs to play. Thank you, Michelle and Heidi! We’ll definitely be back!”

About: I not only grew up around dogs, but I’ve worked in animal shelters and a pet resort, where I was responsible for the needs of dogs and cats. I earned 44 hours of volunteer work at the Humane Society in St. Thomas, U.S.V.I., where I gave tours to potential dog owners. I worked at Pet Suites and LifeLine, where I ensured all pets received their food and/or medicine in a timely manner. I have fostered dogs for Angels Among Us and found homes for all of them. I also take an interest in dog training. I’m not a licensed trainer, but I enjoy teaching dogs manners and tricks. I currently work part-time Tuesday through Thursday from 9 AM to 5 PM, which means I have open availability in the mornings, evenings, and full availability on Fridays through Mondays. I’m very organized and plan my schedule carefully to ensure every pet receives the time, care, and consistency they deserve. I live in a pet-friendly apartment with other dog neighbors. There’s a lot of grass surrounding the complex. While at work, I prefer letting dogs roam unless they need to be in a crate.

“Laquita & James where so helpful and friendly. They gave me constant updates (with pics) of how my dog Millie was while I was gone. They genuinely care and it shows. Millie will be back next time we need a sitter for sure!”

“Teagan was a wonderful host for my Five Year Old pups first time boarding. She helped me out in a last minute booking while we were at the hospital for a day. She went above and beyond for the care she gave my little one. I am very much thankful for Teagan, and if we have to ever again do an overnight stay or just a day visit to Shands again I will always seek Teagan out every time.”

“Britney was amazing. Very communicative, kind and took care of maddie like she was her own. Highly recommend to anyone looking for someone to care for their dog and will leave maddie there again!”

“So fortunate to have found Miranda 2 years ago. She is the only dog sitter I call when needed. Archer and I are so blessed to have her to take care of him. Thanks, Miranda”

“Amanda has been so great in taking care of our dog. We went out of the country for a family vacation, she regularly sends us pictures, videos and updates us how he is doing. We can truly tell our fur baby enjoyed his stay with Amanda. Amanda is so reliable, trustworthy and goes above and beyond. She treats our dog as if they were her own. We highly recommend her.”

“Kaylee is amazing! Our dog Lilly was well taken cared of. Kaylee followed all of our instructions and we know Lilly had fun! Thank you, Kaylee! We will definitely book with her again and recommend her to family and friends!”

“I’m so thankful for Vanessa! She was able to take in Marshall very last minute and watch him for the whole weekend. She was great at sending pictures and updates of him throughout the weekend too. He loved it and came home a happy dog!”

Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Micanopy home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in FL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
