“Lucy and I are SO glad that we found Courtney! She is so good with Lucy, She is communicative, responsible and a hard worker. Lucy literally waits for her arrival, and I’m so grateful that I have this help from such a nice person.”

“The nice lady came over with treats and took us outside. It was raining. We didn’t get to play in the mud. When we came back inside she dried us off. It was like a massage. Then the nice lady played with us and our toys. She took all these pictures of us for our moms to see. We know our moms are so happy we are well taken care of. Thanks for playing with us.~ Kya and Karat”

About: I’ve been surrounded by dogs my entire life and have hands-on experience with a wide range of breeds, including Great Danes, Huskies, German Shepherds, Belgian Malinois, and Blue Heelers. Caring for dogs isn’t just something I do—it’s something I genuinely enjoy and take pride in. Over the years, friends and coworkers have trusted me to help care for their pups, whether that means walking, bathing, providing a safe and fun place to spend the day, or simply giving them the attention and exercise they need. I’m comfortable handling dogs of all sizes, temperaments, and energy levels. I also have experience with essential training and care routines, including potty training, basic obedience, and crate training. I understand that every dog is different, and I’m patient, attentive, and committed to making sure each pup feels comfortable, happy, and well cared for. Whether your dog needs a reliable walker, a playful companion, or a calm and structured environment, I’m here to help! I work from home and create my own schedule, which gives me a great deal of flexibility and reliability when it comes to caring for your fur babies. My availability is generally very open, and I’m always happy to stay in full communication—providing updates, answering questions, or checking in whenever you need. I do have two kids who are active in sports, so there may occasionally be a soccer game on the weekend or a practice during the week. That said, I plan my schedule carefully to ensure the pets in my care always receive the attention and consistency they deserve. If you happen to see limited availability on certain dates, please don’t hesitate to reach out directly. I’m often able to adjust my schedule or make accommodations to help meet your needs! Your pup will feel right at home here! We have a fully fenced-in yard for safe outdoor play, as well as kennels/crates available if needed to match your dog’s routine and comfort level. We also have two playful and friendly dogs who are great with both kids and other pups. They love making new friends, whether that means running around the yard, playing together, or relaxing inside. (And yes—zoomies around the house do happen from time to time!) Of course, any interaction with our dogs is always based on your comfort level and your pet’s needs. Our home is a loving, relaxed environment where dogs are treated like family. They’re welcome to snuggle on the couch, get plenty of exercise, and enjoy a consistent routine. Feedings are typically twice a day, with the occasional well-earned treat. While your pet is in my care, I’ll stay in close communication with you—sharing updates, photos, and reassurance so you always know your furry family member is safe, happy, and well cared for.
About: I have had a dog since I was a kid and taken care of friends' dogs too. I love animals and will make your dog my own. I am not doing this to make money (that is why my prices are lower than most) but to teach my daughter responsibility. She loves dogs and all the money is going to her as she is my little assistant. I currently work full-time, but will take your dog on long walks (if desired) and give your little boy/girl lots of love and attention. If needed, I can come home during the day to let your dog out. I have a fenced in yard and a walking trail by my house. Also, lots of room and a kid to take care of and love your pup.
“David did a great job (confidently) walking my large dog with a prey drive. He went above an beyond by sending picture updates, taking extra time to walk her in a park, and refilled her treat toy after the walk. I already rebooked another walk and plan on booking more.”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was 6 years old when we got our family Doberman. Since then we have had several dogs and now I have a miniature dachshund named Maggie! I’ve taken care of dogs of all sizes. I’m in nursing school so I will have time outside of class to care for your pet! I generally do not have evening plans so I can accommodate your pet in the evenings and afternoons. I have a clean home with adequate space and live in an apartment community with paved sidewalks. I have extra blankets, food bowls, and live near several parks as well.
About: I have 17 years of animal care experience from growing up on a farm to volunteering at many animal shelters. Experience with walking and feeding cats and dogs, training, medication administration, bathing, and play time. I am an animal lover and have owned animals most of my life. I am comfortable with all types of animals and am very mindful of their individual personalities. I am currently a student who is home full time and able to provide lots of attention to animals. I am free most of the day to take pets to the park or on walks depending on their needs. I have a large yard for animals to run around safety and live in a gated community. I am open to crating or letting pets free in my home depending on the owner's preference. My husband and I have no kids or other pets so they will get our undivided attention.
About: Hi! My name is Isabel, and I am a second year veterinary student at the University of Florida. Before veterinary school, I worked as a small, equine, and exotic animal veterinary technician. I have years of hands-on experience caring for animals of all ages, sizes, and medical needs. With my veterinary background, I am comfortable caring for senior dogs, puppies, and pets with medical needs. I understand that trusting someone with your dog is a big deal, so I do my best to make you and your pet comfortable from the start. Whether your dog is high-energy or prefers the couch, I am happy to adapt to their needs and routines. I also prioritize clear communication and will keep you updated with plenty of photos and messages. I’d love the opportunity to meet you and your pets! While I am attending veterinary school, I am available in the evenings and on the weekends! I am happy to watch your pet for weekend trips :) I care for pets in their home by prioritizing consistency and individualized care. I know pets feel most secure in their familiar environment, so I do my best to maintain their normal routine (feeding schedules, walks, playtime, medications, etc). I also take the time to get to know each pet’s personality and needs to make them feel most comfortable. I treat every client’s home with respect by keeping things clean, following all care instructions, and providing regular updates. With my veterinary background, I am also comfortable monitoring for any changes in behavior or wellbeing.
“Hannah is amazing with my very grumpy and feisty dog! She’s not deterred by his attitude and handles him so well for walks a couple of times a day! I feel so comfortable knowing Hannah is so capable and loving toward him despite his attitude problem!”

About: What sets me apart is my genuine love for all pets, backed by skills in training both puppies and older animals. I first got started when I was around 13, going around the neighborhood to care for pets. One house, in particular, had two senior cats that required extra attention. Despite the additional work, I remained patient, attentive, and dedicated to creating a safe, happy environment for all furry friends, ensuring they feel loved and cared for. Making sure your pets are safe while you’re away is one of the most important things to me. I have two fur babies myself, so I understand the importance of their well-being. I can’t wait to spend time with your pets and ensure they are happy and secure in your while you’re away. I do have a car so I can visit several times a day. As a college student at the University of Florida, I have a flexible schedule, allowing me to be available most hours of the day. If you’re in need of a dog walker or someone to check in on your sweet little angels, feel free to reach out!🫶🏼 Pet care fits into my daily and weekly routines very well. While balancing my responsibilities as a college student day starts and ends with caring for scheduled visits and check-ins for other pets in between classes and study sessions. My car allows for convenient travel, ensuring regular and attentive care. I plan my schedule to accommodate both academic and pet care duties, maintaining consistent and flexible service for pet owners. This helps a lot so all pets receive the love and attention they need! I offer pet care both in my home and clients homes, tailored to each pet's needs. In my home I have a pet-friendly space for playing, resting, and eating. I also have a nearby dog park. I do regular feeding, fresh water, and bathroom breaks. Also plenty of walks and playtime! In Clients Homes I do regular regular visits multiple times daily. Regular feeding schedules and providing fresh. Walks and playtime to keep pets active. I like to maintain litter boxes and feeding areas. And to be sure that the home is secure and pets are safe.

She was amazing with my dogs! She made sure they fully did all their business before bringing them back inside, which I really appreciated. She also went above and beyond by cleaning up after them without hesitation, which gave me so much peace of mind. On top of that, she sent a great amount of pictures during their walks, so I always knew they were happy and well taken care of. Highly recommend her!

I can’t recommend her enough! She has amazing communication and always keeps me updated, which gives me so much peace of mind. She goes above and beyond—she’s cleaned up my dog’s accidents without hesitation and even takes my dog out longer than requested just to make sure they were happy and well cared for. My dog liked Lilianna from day one but now after just a few walks he practically does backflips when he sees her. And she sends me cute photos during their walks. I feel lucky to have found Lilianna and will have her watch our cat too when needed. If I trust her with my babies, that says everything. She is perfect!

“Mr Jackson” has been walking Lucy for a week-he really saved us after I had surgery! Lucy is a sweet dog with a lot of personality, and Jackson has been patient and also very willing to listen and learn how to best care for her on walks. Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
