About: I have never lived a moment of my life without a pet by my side. Currently I just have my sweet cat Deku, but throughout my entire childhood and adulthood I have always taken care of my family and friends dogs and cats. I also have rabbit care experience as well. I have a lot of experience with administering medication for both cats and dogs, and I have worked with cats with neurological disorders as well. I am a full time artist and I run my independent business from home, so I have a very flexible schedule. (I can also offer hand painted pet portraits!) I am very easily able to check in on pets for walks or play time as needed throughout the week! I am able to come into your home to do any kind of check ins for play time and to take dogs on walks. I can also offer overnight sitting if your pets may be anxious and need that level of attention!

“Today is the first day on our own again and we already miss Courtney. What a gift it was to find her! It was so cute to see her talk to Lucy all the way when walking, to pick her up or redirect her when she was being stubborn-Courtney displayed genuine concern and affection for my Lucy and myself during the four weeks she was employed. She is absolutely the first person I will call if I need help with Lucy again. I have no questioning about courtney’s ability to care for animals or her character. She is such a sweet soul and is welcome to remain our friend forever!! 🐾💕 THANK YOU”

About: I did a lot of pet sitting in my neighborhood when I was in middle and high school which involved watching and walking several dogs as well as cats and even some ferrets. I also helped raise and trian 3 puppy's with my parents. I also did some voulenteer work for hailes angels let rescue in gainesville. When I'm home from college I walk and feed my 2 dogs everyday. When they were puppy's I was solely responsible for them for most of the day while my parents were working I am very flexible and perfectly happy to tailor my behavior to whatever makes your pet most comfortable. I've met and watched many pets so I'm used to making skittish pets feel safe around me.
“Brooke was great with our Labrador, Wimby, and she did an outstanding job. Wimby isn’t the easiest dog to walk—he’s strong, full of energy, and can be a handful—but Brooke handled him with total confidence and care. She was always on time, reliable, and clearly experienced with dogs. We really appreciated her professionalism and how quickly she built trust with Wimby. Highly recommend her to anyone looking for a dependable and skilled dog walker!”

About: I’m a second-year veterinary student at the University of Florida with years of hands-on experience caring for dogs of all ages, sizes, and temperaments. I have dog sat numerous times for friends, neighbors, and families, including extended stays lasting several weeks. Through veterinary school and personal experience, I’m comfortable monitoring pets closely, administering basic medications if needed, and providing attentive, compassionate care. I understand how important consistency, communication, and trust are when leaving your pet with someone else, and I strive to make every pet feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. I’m currently on summer break from veterinary school, so I have a very flexible schedule and am available throughout the week at all hours of the day to meet your pet’s needs. If you’re looking for a long-term sitter, I will also make sure to prioritize time for your pup during the school year (August–May). When caring for pets in my clients’ homes, I focus on maintaining their normal routine so they feel safe, comfortable, and stress-free while their owners are away. Whether your dog enjoys long walks, playtime, and staying active or prefers a calmer, more relaxed environment, I’m happy to provide the care and attention that best fits their personality and needs. As a veterinary student with experience pet sitting for extended periods of time, I’m very attentive to animals’ behavior, routines, and overall well-being. I carefully follow all owner instructions regarding feeding, exercise, medications, and household routines to ensure your pet is cared for exactly the way they are at home. My goal is always to make pets feel loved, comfortable, and well cared for while giving owners peace of mind. I also enjoy sending regular photo updates so owners can feel confident their pets are safe and happy while they’re away.
“Miranda was great and even took howie to play at the tennis courts like I do and he loves!! She communicated with me everytime she came to walk and let my young guy get his energy out! Definitely recommend!”

“Hailee was amazing! This was our first rover experience. Our dogs are quirky but she was incredible with them and they love her. Very responsive and responsible. Will definitely be booking again.”

“Ariana was AMAZING with our pup Luna. We have used her services twice and plan to continue as long as she is available. She even let Luna get some afternoon sunbathing in during her visit. Luna loves her, and she made us feel at ease while we are at work.”

About: I have a flexible schedule! I am willing to work with you to give your dog the best care possible and make life easier for you! Dogs are welcome on furniture for cuddles and comfort. There is plenty of space inside for them to roam AND a patio/backyard area for fresh air. There is also a dog park in the neighborhood for your dog to play with other dogs if you want him/her dog to socialize. Exercising a dog isn’t always important! I have experience training dogs. I have been assisting in training future guide dogs for the past 3 years. I would love to take in your cute pups even if they are not potty trained; I have experience and am willing to help potty train or any other forms of training you would like your pup to continue while you are away. I am also willing to administer any medications your dog needs during his/her stay. I am here to make your life easier and give your dog the best experience possible! About: Hi! My name is Isabel, and I am a second year veterinary student at the University of Florida. Before veterinary school, I worked as a small, equine, and exotic animal veterinary technician. I have years of hands-on experience caring for animals of all ages, sizes, and medical needs. With my veterinary background, I am comfortable caring for senior dogs, puppies, and pets with medical needs. I understand that trusting someone with your dog is a big deal, so I do my best to make you and your pet comfortable from the start. Whether your dog is high-energy or prefers the couch, I am happy to adapt to their needs and routines. I also prioritize clear communication and will keep you updated with plenty of photos and messages. I’d love the opportunity to meet you and your pets! I am currently working part-time in the mornings, so I have plenty of time to check in on your pets in the afternoons and evenings! I care for pets in their home by prioritizing consistency and individualized care. I know pets feel most secure in their familiar environment, so I do my best to maintain their normal routine (feeding schedules, walks, playtime, medications, etc). I also take the time to get to know each pet’s personality and needs to make them feel most comfortable. I treat every client’s home with respect by keeping things clean, following all care instructions, and providing regular updates. With my veterinary background, I am also comfortable monitoring for any changes in behavior or wellbeing.
“Friederike did an amazing job walking my 7 year old beagle. She always adapted the walk to how far Bella felt like going and what the weather was like outside. She provided lots of pictures and it was easy to see that Bella always had tons of fun! Friederike is reliable as I booked weekly walks, but she was also flexible when I had to the date for one of them. I highly recommend her!”

About: I have had a dog since I was a kid and taken care of friends' dogs too. I love animals and will make your dog my own. I am not doing this to make money (that is why my prices are lower than most) but to teach my daughter responsibility. She loves dogs and all the money is going to her as she is my little assistant. I currently work full-time, but will take your dog on long walks (if desired) and give your little boy/girl lots of love and attention. If needed, I can come home during the day to let your dog out. I have a fenced in yard and a walking trail by my house. Also, lots of room and a kid to take care of and love your pup.
About: My family has always had house hold pets that we’ve raised with love. I have always been responsible for helping with pets and know what it takes to have a healthy pet I’m currently a postgrad student applying for a bunch full time positions so my availability is pretty open at the moment, weekends and weekdays both! I will keep a close eye on your pet at all times. I will only feed them what is instructed to and allow them to set their own comfort levels themselves

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Arredondo
She was amazing with my dogs! She made sure they fully did all their business before bringing them back inside, which I really appreciated. She also went above and beyond by cleaning up after them without hesitation, which gave me so much peace of mind. On top of that, she sent a great amount of pictures during their walks, so I always knew they were happy and well taken care of. Highly recommend her!

This is my second review for Kimberley. I cannot say enough good things. She is kind, patient, flexible, and wonderful with our dog. I was afraid Teddy would refuse to go home with me when I came to pick him up from her house. Kimberly spent quality time with Teddy, took him on long walks, and treated him like a part of her family. Kimberly's dog, Kace, was also very welcoming to Teddy (who, I must admit, can be a bit overwhelming as he is still a puppy). I plan to use Kimberly for our future care needs for sure. I recommend her without reservation.

Anne-Katrin has been an absolutely live saver and an angel. My little girl korra adores her. She is very responsive and timely. Has impeccable attention to detail and will treat your pet like apart of her own family. I would recommend her to anyone looking for a pet sitter or dog walker. Thank you so much for your help!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
